Pleasantly surprised by this product. Was very easy to apply. Leaves my eyebrows looking fully defined. I have olive skin and I brought the "Soft Black" color and it looks great!

I love this pencil, stays on me all day, doesn't smudge. I'm in shade "brown" and it is great for me.

'Greybrown' is a taupe that seems too dark for my blond brows, but it works wonderfully when I apply it lightly and comb it through. (Application is quick and easy as it's powdery, non-waxy, smooth and blendable.) The best thing of all: not even a hint of red in it.

I use ths is grey brown since Maybelline, in their infinite wisdom, discontinued that shade. I have no choice but to like this as all other pencils I have tried are much too warm for my very ashy brows and stick out a mile. So if you are tired of yellowy or reddish pencil lines gleaming in the sun in your brows, try this. It does go on too heavily unless you use a very light hand as others have said but it does brush down quite easily so that isn't really a problem, Overall, average product but unique shade.

This eyebrow pencil is quite nice quality, it lasts all day and is very natural. The downside is you have to apply it very lightly and carefully as its quite harsh if you apply it like a other eyebrow pencils. The main reason i wouldn't repurchase it though is the bad quality of the actual pencil. It breaks and crumbles EASILY in sharpeners wasting lots of product. Which is a shame because apart from that its not bad.

I bought this pencil to replace my existing Maybelline eyebrow pencil, which I LOVE, because it's been discontinued. The color looked similar and so I dished out $14 (which is WAY more than I ever thought I'd pay for an eyebrow pencil). Never ever again! My eyebrows look harsh no matter how carefully I apply it. The application is difficult to explain because the pencil applies smooth....but not in a good way. It's harder to control the application and I end up with "smudged" looking brows. Don't waste your money, there have got to be better options than this!

I bought this eyebrow pencil in Soft Black. I am caucasian with black hair (naturally) and I find it extremely hard to locate a decently colour-matching eyebrow pencil that is dark gray/soft black. The only good thing about this eyebrow pencil is the colour.

Application of this pencil is terrible. It goes on harshly and heavy (but is blendable). The main negative which causes me to give this 1 lippy is crappy staying power. The colour comes off almost instantly. I have slanted bangs (which hit one eyebrow) and the colour came off merely from my bangs touching my eyebrows for two minutes while I was trying to fix the other eyebrow! Unbelievably disappointing.

This pencil will only work if you never touch your eyebrows and you do not have bangs.

Check out my notepad to read a more detailed explanation of my skin type!

What it Claims:
"GOSH EYEBROW PENCIL is a 2-way (pencil + brush) powder pencil for filling and shaping the eyebrows. It offers a soft and powdery application with a nice and natural color pay-off. It is long-lasting and does not creep on oily skin."

Claims - True or False?
1) Soft application: False. Unless you are using a very light hand, it will likely apply quite harshly until blended out with a brush.
2) Natural colour pay-off: True, if the shade matches your hair. Although the lightest colour is too dark for my brows and is a little too warm for my ashy brows, I can easily get away with it as it doesn't look too over-done.
3) Long-lasting: True. I've never experienced problems with my brow products fading throughout the day though, regardless of the brand, so it may fade on others.

Packaging:
The pencil has two sides: One with a brush, and one with the actual brow colour. The ingredients are on the packaging as well, so if you need to avoid certain ingredients, you can easily check to see what this product contains. The caps for both sides come off without hassle, and do not stick or slide off.

Consistency:
Unlike some brow pencils, this is very smooth and not at all waxy. It isn't crumbly either, and does not break when used with more force. Like most brow pencils though, it goes on quite pigmented right away. This is one my biggest pet-peeves with brow pencils, as I prefer to be able to LAYER my brow colour, and there are times when I just want to define them a little bit. Overall though, very smooth and feels quite nice.

Ease of Use:
Because the product is quite smooth (similar to a kohl pencil), it's fairly easy to apply an even and smooth amount of the product. That being said, it can be difficult to keep it looking natural. I found that when I tried applying it to areas that are void of hair (growing my brows out, and I have a small patch under my brow that has yet to fully grow in) it generally would not adhere to my skin, meaning I had to layer it quite a bit. This often leads to darker brows than I'd like. The brush does hurt, but if used gently, it's not a big deal. If I apply too much, I usually wipe it away with a kleenex, which helps tone the colour down.

Bang for your Buck:
This brow pencil comes in at close to $15.00CAD. A little pricier than I'd like to spend, but I do not think that it is outrageously priced or anything. I do not use mine daily, but I can see this lasting a good long while, as very little is needed to fill the brows out.

Final Consensus:
I've always had a difficult time finding a good brow colour for my brows. My eyebrows are not identical in shade to my hair (brows are on the ashy side, while my hair now has more of a brassy tone to it. I'm naturally an ash blonde), so it is always a challenge to find a good product that will match my brows but not cause them to look awkward next to my hair. My brows are quite light and slightly sparse, and whenever I try a new product, it seems to cause problems with matching as well as with going on too dark, regardless of how light of a hand I use. I saw that GOSH sold an eyebrow pencil with an ashier undertone, and thought that it would work well for me. Overall, it does work better than the other brow pencils I've tried, but again, it seems to go on with too much pigmentation. If I'm not careful, it can definitely look fake. The small brush on the end is terrible and causes temporary redness. I believe that it also causes small whiteheads due to the kaolin. So, while I'm not thrilled with the product, it does the job and for now is adequate enough. Perhaps I simply need to switch to powders instead for a softer yet more filled out look.

Ouch! The pencil does not apply smoothly and the brush is even worse. My brows looked so fake and harsh; when I tried to blend it with the brush, it tugged and scratched my skin. I got this in soft black and when I test it on my hand, it applies so nicely. I don't know how to get it to work as nicely on my brows.
