Meh.This was my first primer, so I can't really say much about it. I wore it for a dance concert, to try and make sure all the heavy layers of makeup wouldn't just slide off. To me, it felt really soft to touch on my face, but then really greasy if I rubbed it in. Did it enhance my makeup, or make it last longer? Not really. I have combination skin, and let me just say, it did nothing to control the oil (thankfully there isn't much).I think I'm going to investigate with some different brands next time. But for the price ($13AUD), it's worth investigating.

I own the poreless version of this primer-- it can be a little drying during the colder months- but during the warmer months this is my go to primer-- my makeup will actually last until I take it off and not slide. (I have serious slide issues during the summer- and combination/dry issues in the winter... my skin has a COMPLETE mind of it's own!!!!!!)The amount of product in the container is roughly about 1/3-1/2 the bottle. The bottle is made of glass or some other high resin composite and I wouldn't recommend dropping it. I don't think it would outright shatter into smithereens, but I'd be careful nonetheless. I'm only putting the glass part out there because I am a complete klutz and have a big tendency to drop stuff.

I love the ELF brand products! Seriously, $1-6 for products as opposed to $25+ for the same thing made by more expensive brands, you can't beat that. Except for this primer, I just bought it about 2 weeks ago at Walmart. It had a sticker on it ("New!") and so I thought I would try it out because I love ELF so much. Well, the first day it was okay and it went on nice and smooth and my makeup looked lovely. Two days later, my face started itching like crazy halfway throughout the day. My boyfriend was sitting next to me and church and said "Umm, your face is red." Clearly, my itching was not in my head and I was refraining from showing that it was bothering me, but at the end of the night I went home and washed my face for about 5 minutes and put witch hazel on it because my face was covered in a giant rash! Seriously, everywhere the primer touched my face was bumpy. It took 3 days to figure out it was the primer (I had also recently just started using another facial product) and needless to say, those were a very painful, embarrassing and itchy few days. I don't know what is in that product that made it "new" but I do not recommend it if you have sensitive skin! I have used other ELF primers before such as the lavender infused and the clear primer. They worked fine and there were no breakouts. I'll be going back to using those. Bottom line, if you know our skin is sensitive and you don't always do well with trying new products, stick to the basic ELF primers. Hope this helped somebody!

I just heard about the ELF brand. I bought the mineral infused face primer (it's green) at Wal-Mart about a week ago. Only $6. This stuff is amazing. It literally feels like pure silk when you rub it on your face & neck. I have never felt anything this silky on my face, everrrrr!!!I am totally sold & will be a long time customer. Oh & it doesn't take much, so the lasting of the product really gives you your monies worth.

I purchased this because I was having trouble applying my concealer and foundation. My concealer was settling in fine lines, and foundation was just not gliding on well. This helps with that! For $6, it's a good primer. You don't get much in the container, but I like that it's a pump. Applies like a dream, and all you need is one pump to cover your entire face. While I find it helps with applications of my concealer and foundation, it doesn't help with oil control. No breakouts on the face either. I have already re-purchased another bottle for when I run out. The only problem I have is that while the container looks like you purchased a good amount... it's really not that much. It's a tiny container inside of a larger bottle. I hear of some people having problems with the pump, but, knock on wood...... I haven't had any problems yet.

I bought this for $17.40 which is pretty cheap when you think about the prices of cosmetics in Australia. I was really excited to try it and I loved it at first, it was soo smooth on my face but after a couple of days, it started to break me out and make my skin look really ugly.

I really love this primer, especially for the price. It is pretty much an exact dupe for Smashbox's. I have combo skin and it kept my oil at bay all day, except for a few touch ups on my nose which is normal. There is also no smell. I first tried the Poreless version in the pink bottle but that did nothing for my oil control and I didn't notice a difference between this and the other one for pore control. The packaging is cute, but the amount of product inside is about a 1/3 of the size of the container. Also for the pink bottle it took me about 25 pumps to get the product out the first time! I had no problem with the white bottle. Will definately repurchase this!

This is a really good alternative to Smashbox Photo Ready. It doesn't do much for oil control, but the consistency is pretty much identical, and it makes my skin so smooth and perfectly prepped for foundation. Its a great basic primer. As far as the packaging goes- there's not nearly as much product as I thought there was, the container is a frosted plastic, so you cant see how much you have left unless you totally take it apart, which is obviously a hassle. I'd prefer it to be in a squeeze bottle, or at least a clear one so I could see when I'm running out. Either way, I've purchased this twice so far, and it hasn't done me wrong.

For the price of the primer I would repurchase, however, it wouldn't be my first choice because with my oily skin I feel like another primer would do a better job of keeping my oil under control. That's not to say I don't like it, though. It helps with oil control, just not as much as others. A little goes a long way and it makes my foundation go on super smooth. It does help my make up stay on longer and by the end of the day I noticed I only had to do small touch ups around my most oily areas (my nose and center of my forehead). This product didn't break me out at all.

Disclaimer: This is my first experience with primer, so I don't have anything to compare my experience to. E.L.F. products are always a hit or miss. And for me, the Mineral Face Primer is a definite hit. I have skin that can never really decide between dry and oily (although it usually sides with dry) and this primer is fantastic for keeping my skin in check. The application is very easy and smooth. You really only need to use a small amount, it spreads so nicely. The consistency is slightly jelly like. More cream than jelly, really. This literally makes my skin feel like velvet. It provides a great base for foundation and doesn't collect or ball up at all. Amen.
