Thankfully I only bought this shampoo in a sample size, along with the conditioner and treatment oil. My hair is a bit dry from colouring but not very bad. This shampoo did no better than a bottle of 2 euro shampoo from the supermarket. It was alright but definitely does not justify the price. For the price of this stuff I would expect to get a 'wow' result, it only gives a 'meh'. Will not be buying the full size bottle. If only I could find somewhere that sells Colet products, best shampoo ever but I can't find it any more.

For hair color staying power, this shampoo did its job. For just a shampoo, overall cleanliness, moisture, and how it made my hair feel, it was so average. I'm an every-other-day hair washing kind of girl, but this made my hair greasy quickly, especially if I styled it. I am a fan of Joico products generally, but this just didn't do it for me.

So I ruined my hair with cheap dye :( I can't afford to have my color put in at a nice salon every 8 weeks, so I started using box color. Switched to a brand of color I thought I really liked, but realized after a few uses that the stuff was frying my hair - which I'd been coloring for years with no issues :(

I tried baking soda and vinegar, which made my hair wonderfully manageable but pulled out the color. I tried drugstore stuff, which made my hair tangled and so that it quickly got greasy.I tried natural brands and didn't care for several of them. Finally, I sucked it up, went in for a haircut and asked the girl what color-protecting shampoo she'd recommend.

She raved about this one and I walked away with the gift pack of the small bottles, to try it. The price isn't terrible - I honestly expected worse for high-end stuff, and I don't shampoo every day so I figure it will last. After just one use, the texture of my hair was SO improved. Silky, soft, snarl-free and light/not weighted down. I waited a few days before using again to see if it would get super greasy in between washes like it used to, but it doesn't! My hair feels wonderful and looks great. I will keep using and probably go back for bigger bottles next time. I find the smell pleasant, fruity and not offensive at all, and I'm sensitive to a lot of fragrances so that's saying something. I'm excited to keep using this.

This smells wonderful and has a pearlescent color. It gave a creamy lather but left my hair feeling clean after I rinsed it out. For reference, I have curly and medium textured hair that is prone to frizziness and can get dry during the winter months. The regular K-pak shampoo left my hair feeling brittle and flyaway even though my hair adores products with protein in them. This is more pleasurable to use. My hair comes out soft with more defined curls and shine. Bought the gift pack at my local beauty supply and very happy I took the risk. Paired with the matching conditioner, it does a good job. I see less shedding in the shower.

I am a bit torn....My biggest con is the smell. It has the scent of those sunless tanner lotions. Its too much at first, but I guess you get use to it. I'm going to be honest, its way overpriced ! For something that costs so much you should be saying "WOW my hair is amazing!!" I just expected a bit more of quality.

My biggest pro is the shine it has added to my hair and it has definitely made my blonde streaks sparkle.
I got this on sale and I use it when I get my hair highlighted. It lasts you a long time.

Unless its on sale, I am not sure I would buy it again. Again its not awful, but I wouldn't jump to say its spectacular just yet.

I picked this up on a whim at Marshalls for $10. 16 oz bottle with a pump.

It cleans nicely, without stripping or overdrying.

It does contain amodimethicone, which for now is OK for my hair, but in different weather or if used as my sole shampoo would give the dry hair, greasy scalp, and other negative effects noted by other reviewers here.

ETA: After using this 3 consecutive days, instead of sporadically, my scalp began to get greasy and itch like crazy. For me, I know this is due to the amodimethicone content being too much for my scalp. I missed it when I first read the ingredients, because it was all the way at the very end. So if you are 'cone -sensitive, beware.

This shampoo works great, it lathers and cleans well but also moisturizes and detangles. However, I can't stand the smell. It's way too strong at first it smells like a cheap laundromat and then like men's cologne. So therefore I won't be using it, the strong smell gives me a headache. But if you like the smell this is a really good shampoo! Maybe I'll try the regular k pak, I don't mind the fruity scent of the regular k pak shampoo and conditioner.

I have been using the K-Pak Color Therapy for about 2 weeks now and love it, although I noticed a difference after the first use. Very high quality, silky, lathers nicely and smells wonderful, like apples. I also use the accompanying conditioner, but I find I don't have to use it every time. Love this stuff! I should note that I bought my stuff from a salon not off ebay or Amazon.

For reference, I have fine highlighted and low-lighted hair. I blow dry and flat iron everyday.

So I bought it on Amazon where it was much, much cheaper than retail, and I'm really glad I didn't spend more than $15 for the shampoo/conditioner set.

The shampoo took as much shampoo for my above shoulder length hair then regular shampoo took for my waist long hair. When I was done and my hair was dried, I would often have to put dry shampoo in because my hair was still greasy. Afraid it was my other products, I did one where I only shampooed and did nothing else and was still greasy. AND THEN I got zits ALL OVER my scalp, hairline, neck, and chest. Biolage gave me the chest and back zits, but the scalp and neck were new (and gross and painful).

I have really fine hair that tends to be greasy. Admittedly I don't have problems with dry or problematic hair, I try to use color care products as preventive measures. If you're looking for something protective/preventative, this might not be the product for you. Maybe it's just better for repair work.

Oh - and the lids kept coming unattached.

This is my HG shampoo and conditioner! I will never use another shampoo/conditioner ever as long as I am coloring my hair! I cannot rave enough about it. It makes my coarse, damaged, bleached, and dry hair much more manageable and I can feel the transformation each time I use it. It smells really pleasant and doesn't make my hair feel too overly moisturized or greasy. You can great deals on the liters at Ulta...but I just read that the keratin breaks down after about 8 months in these products which probably explains the crazy sale prices.

My hair has been transformed. I don't even blow dry or straighten my hair like I used to. My texture was driving me crazy. It always felt dry and just unruly. After using the shampoo and conditioner from this line I have straight, smooth, and really vibrant hair all without heat styling. If I want more of a "voluminous" look then I will just blowdry the top and it's perfect. This really saves the shaft of my hair from unneeded damage.

I really love this shampoo and when teamed up with the conditioner I end up with lovely clean, smooth & hydrated hair. It is definitely my favourite in the Joico range. The smell is pleasant, it's a bit expensive in NZ, the bottle can be turned upside down when it starts getting low which is handy, it's just a little difficult to open with wet hands.
UPDATE: I still think this is a great shampoo but my hair has enough protein now due to this plus the other k-pak treatments and the strength has been restored. Because of it's high protein content I have switched to a moisture shampoo now to avoid over proteining my hair and turning it brittle. I would definitely recommend this if you bleach your hair which I have stopped doing.

I absolutely LOVE this shampoo and conditioner! I have been trying to keep my colour from fading, as I am on a student budget and don't have the money to go get my highlights and colour done every 6 weeks. After using this product, I only need to go every 9-11 weeks and seriously, the colour is not fading! My favourite thing about this product is that it doesn't leave my hair dry/stiff like most shampoos have done in the past, I feel like this shampoo is so moisturizing and it does so much for my hair. I will definitely repurchase!

FIRST WARNING: make sure you get the new bottles of this shampoo with the little go green windmill logos on the front of the bottles, human hair keratin (which is in ALL Joico products) BREAKS DOWN after about 8 months, so you really need to make sure you get this shampoo FRESH from cosmo prof or another beauty outlet. this shampoo rinses clean and leaves my hair light, HOWEVER i completly understand where the negative reviews are coming from, i picked up a bottle of this from ulta without thinking one time and went home started washing my hair and it felt so dirty and gross/stifff/dryed out! i couldnt figure out what was wrong till i realised it was AN OLD BOTTLE it had seperated in the bottle 0_o when protiens break down they can have an extremely negative effect on your hair. so when bought from the proper place THIS SHAMPOO IS AMAZING (: it also contains Schinziophyton Rautanenii Kernal Oil which is the best moisturizing oil for hair it penitrates all the way thru the hair, its more moisturizing than argan oil. its also amazingly light weight. try it fresh at a salon next time you get your hair colored (: you wont be dissapointed

Oh god, no! This makes my hair so dry and stiff. I see it works well for most people but I am not one of them. I have had a small bottle for what seems like forever and I keep trying to use it just to get rid of it and every time I do, I have a terrible hair day, ichy scalp...ugh just terrible.

this shampoo is my new favorit along with the moisture recovery shampoo, ill be posting the ingredients soon when i find the time too write all that out -____- i cant seem to find this shampoos ingredients list anywhere on the internet. this shampoo rinses very clean DOES NOT TANGLE at all (i have very curly hair so i know when a shampoo can tangle hair/ not rinse clean) ive used this for 3weeks so far and my color is still vibrant im actually really surprised, since all i hear my friends talk about is how quick there color fades, personally i think that comes from using shampoos with low quality ingredients. bottom line joico was the first company to put human hair keritan in there products and theyve never failed me. also goldwell dual senses is great to switch up with joico(:

So this shampoo isn't cheap but it's not bad for a high end shampoo-at least compared to Pureology which I was using or Kerastase which is even pricier. So far I really like this shampoo. I love the scent, my hair smells fabulous because I am using both the shampoo and conditioner. It lathers well and my hair feels very smooth when I am rinsing it. So smooth that I am guessing it will leave a good amount of build up over time so will need to use a clarifying shampoo every now and then. I color my hair quite a bit and have thick, naturally wavy, frizzy hair so it takes a beating since I straighten it all the time. I do feel like this has helped hold in my color, seems more vibrant, and has improved the condition of my hair so far. I am not completely amazed by it or anything yet but have only been using for a week. I really want to try the hair oil next. I like this as much as Pureology and this is way easier on my wallet. I would recommend to anyone who has damaged, colored hair to try this as I do feel that it has already helped repair my strands! Excited to see how it will look after a month or so and will try to update this review.

This is better than the Joico Color Endure!
It makes your hair super soft and so shiny.....Smells nice too.
If you have to buy an salon product i'll say stick to Joico, the quality is good and it doesn't cost that much!
Wonderfull product!!

I bought this shampoo when i noticed that my bed head (which i loved) was stripping my color. After using this shampoo for a week, i could totally tell a difference, it's so incredibly moisturizing and makes my hair feel so healthy. The only con I could say about this product is that after i rinse i don't feel like it has lathered at my roots enough, not an issue though. I just shampoo twice. Overall, I love this product and will definitely be repurchasing!

I must have read through these reviews 3 times to be sure we were all reviewing the same shampoo. Maybe the others are judging the poo with how it works with the conditioner too? When I rate a shampoo, I have tried JUST the shampoo and all other aspects of my routine (including conditioner) stay the same. So I know any difference is the shampoo. And in this case it was bad. Where to start:

1) You know what it feels like when you have a formal updo for prom or your wedding and the first time you step under a shower to start washing it out...how gross and stiff your hair feels until you work all the shampoo through? That is how my hare felt AFTER using the shampoo! I even used it twice and my hair felt gunky.

2) I am still a bit baffled how color care shampoos can call them self color safe when they have sulfates (this has SLS). I am not anti-sulfate, but for me they dry out my hair for as much I need to wash (this stuff dried it out with the first wash!) Which leads me to #3.

3) My hair which naturally feels soft and slip felt like straw. And I had no body, no bounce...it looked flat (I have natural curls). My curls were poorly defined and my hair felt awful. No shine or bounce like what i had the day before with my old stuff.

So I will once again be going back to my Alba Rainforest Acai Antioxidant shampoo (running in fact). I just wish this wasn't so hard to find, at least I have drugstore.com.
