I really like these. I don't understand why the ratings are so low. To be fair, this is the only type of blotting paper I've tried to date, since I don't have a very oily face and never really found a need for blotting papers. So maybe I just don't know what I'm missing? Recently though, I underwent surgery and after that my face started getting very oily. It's started to calm down now, but I still like to use these papers to prevent shine from creeping up in the afternoon. They are very thin and sheer, not in a bad way, and they soak up a ton of oil! I didn't even realize I had that much oil on my face. I guess the only downside I can see to these is that 1 sheet gets used up VERY quickly. For me it's not a problem because 1 sheet will take off most of the oil, but for those with oilier skin I think you'd have to go through quite a few to get a satisfying result. I've never noticed them to take off makeup as long as I'm actually blotting and not wiping. So it seems as though these tend to work better for those with mild to moderately oily skin - if that sounds like you then I'd definitely recommend. :)

I don't really have oily skin, but I decided to pick up some blotting sheets just for my rouge skin days. Ever since I started using these, I can't stop! I'm always surprised at how much oil it draws from my skin, even though I typically have dry skin! Since I'm mostly dry, I only need to use them once or twice a day. But they don't mess up my makeup or smudge anything, and they don't leave a powdery residue or anything like that. They're super cheap, and totally worth it! Going to be buying NYX blotting sheets for life!

I havent written a review before, but this product is so terrible it's a must. The paper is thin and sheer and became transparent once I blotted my face. After 1 sheet, my face was still oily. After 3 sheets, I still looked oily. A waste.

I can't live without blotting sheets, but I decided to try and find something cheaper than the usual Clean and Clear ones that I normally use. So picked these up. I was so surprised when I opened the package to use them....they are essentially pieces of paper with the texture of parchment paper. Oh well, maybe it works well? So I began blotting my face. I looked at the paper....and no oil. All it did was take off my makeup. Okay. So I tried swiping it....and ended up with a paper cut on my face. Awesome. And yet it STILL removed nothing....ONLY my makeup. I DO NOT recommend these. Get the Clean and Clear ones that actually work or even generic Target brand ones work well. I will not be getting this....and it's going into the trash.

These work alright, but my skin really isn't that oily. I just use it mid-day on my nose area. They have the consistency of tissue paper and they don't absorb as well as the clean & clear sheets. I've also noticed that they do take off makeup so you really have to blot very gently. Next time I'll spend the extra few dollars and get Clean & Clear.

These do the job but you have to use two or three of them to completely remove the oil from your face. =/

Nyx blotting sheets are better than Boscia and not as good as my holy grail Clean and Clear. These are also crunchy sounding. I make alot of noise when using this in a quiet office. They do absorb oil but doesnt soak up 100% of oil buildup. I dont hate them so i will use these up and wont be repurchasing.

I ran out of my CVS oil absorbing sheets, which I think is a great dupe for the more expensive Clean and Clear brand. I thought I'd try something new and save a little extra dough. I made the mistake of buying 2 of these because they were on sale at Ulta. My skin must ooze oil like the BP oil leak because these useless papers fall apart on me after a couple of dabs on my face and I have to use 3x as many as I would with one CVS sheet. It's not even worth my time and gas worthy enough for me to drive back to Ulta to return them.

This blotting paper does its job pretty okay on me, it absorbs all the excess oil on my face with just 1 sheet but doesn't really make my face matte or anything, just absorbs. However this isn't an issue to me because i use it at home when I do not put on any make up and this is perfect because it doesn't have powder on it. If I'm out then I would be using Palladio's rice papers instead of this. Would repurchase if necessary

This product is a waste of money. The sheets do not absorb oil that well and I have to use twice as many sheets as Clean & Clear. Definitely will not repurchase.
