The light purple side is sheer and not very pigmented. The other side just fall over glitters.

I love under your spell both sides bc unlike the ones with the silver glitter this one is bronze/gold and I find it a lot more flattering than silver glitter. I find this shadow to be a very gorgeous unique color. Get this if ur hesitant about buying a shadow from this collection

After using another duo like this (Bright Side/Gallery Gal) and absolutely adoring it, I thought this would have similar density and staying power. I do love the colors but the copper does flake right off, and you have to apply a lot of either one for more pigment, especially the copper.
So even though you're careful applying the shadow so you don't get glitter cheeks, it doesn't matter, at the end of the day, if that, I have glitter face. Maybe it's because I use the copper as an eyeliner and it falls right off. Copper flecks that don't stay really spoil this one. It does really help to wet it, but it's still really hard to build.
Bummer.

I love the way these colors looks in the pot but when applied the copper color goes everywhere on ur face I've I used them wet and dry , color doesn't seem to intesify ! I'm guessing cause of the big flakes of glitter it has , the other color goes is a purlpe looking color w silver undertones depending on the base u put underneath it , I like this color better than the copper , I really wanted to love this being that this is the very 1st shadow I got from mac

This came out in the Magic, Mirth, and Mischief Collection for Holiday 2009. I saw some videos on youtube and was easily persuaded to get this product, but now the eyeshadow duo just sits in my makeup kit and is rarely used.
You can use the eye shadows either wet or dry. When applied wet, the color is supposed to be more intense. But honestly the color doesn't really improve when I apply it wet either, it's not a huge difference. Another problem is the fall out. This duo is just loaded with shimmer/glitter, and it doesn't stay in place because it's quite soft. The purple shade's shimmer has fall out but it's easy to clean up. The orange/copper shade's glitter falls out EVERYWHERE. It barely stayed on my lid when I packed it on, so much of the shimmer was under my eyes in a matter of minutes. The color payoff for the orange is very poor too, I rarely touch it anymore.
I like the purple shade, it has grey undertones that can be quite versatile at times. It can appear silver, depending on what base you use under it. But really this duo is nothing special, I may swap it since it's just collecting dust. It's L/E, but really I wouldn't go out searching for it.

I usually really like MAC mes, but I guess this is not the right color for my skintone (NC37). It is too light I think-because the purple/silvery part reads exactly like All that Glitters on me.It looked gorgeous on my arm where the skin is lighter, so I think this is nice for pale skin. The copper part is okay....looks like Amber Lights but chunkier texture.

I really love this color combination. It's great when applied lightly for a nice but not overwhelming day look. The purple is really beautiful, it's very light and has a goldish, silverish shimmer. I like to put just a tiny bit of the bronze in the crease or as liner...haven't done it on the lower lash line yet, but that sounds pretty. And I haven't had any problem with fallout...very beautiful.

This is an all time fave. I love the colors together and seperately. They are amazing. The fall out is a pain in the butt but it is something you have to deal with when working with the mineralized eyeshadows.

I love mineralize eyeshadows because they last so long and the colors are beautiful and very shimmery and metallic. I bought all of the mineralize eyeshadows from the Magic, Mirth, and Mischief holiday collection and they go well with each other so you mix and match them to create many different looks. Under Your Spell is a duo that features a metallic medium purple color with greyish undertones and a glittery copper color. The smaller section of the mineralize duos from this collection are very chunky and only the glitter shows up and there is a ton of fallout so I'd recommend using them wet or not at all. Under Your Spell looks great all over the lid, in the crease, or as a liner. My favorite look with it so far is: Under your spell all over the lid, It's a miracle (deep plum purple) in the crease, and vanilla pigment as a highlight on the browbone and inner eye corners.

I absolutely love this! I have never tried a mineralize shadow before but have been tempted. So I decided to give this a go. The color combo is unique and blends beautifully alone or together. The colors are shimmery but since I love them I want to wear them during the day, I jiust apply very lightly just dusting the light violet color all over and the copper in the crease. I also just wear them alone. But at night I apply more for a more intense look. I usually donot like purples on me, I think they make me look sick. This purpple is different its more of a subtle neutral with hints of lavender. I love this I definetly want to try more mineralize shadows!

Although the color looks purple in the pan, it goes on the lid like a silvery taupe with a touch of purple undertone. It doesn't look purple on the lid. The color is very shimmery and pigmented even when dry. It is so beautifully shimmery when foiled (applied wet with Visine or Studio Fix). I like pairing this with a dark purple (in It's a Miracle) in the crease.
You also get a bronze copper in the crescent. The copper is a bit chunky so I definitle recommend applying the copper foiled. The copper looks great on the lower lash line with the purple/taupe on the lid. Gorgeous!
It is limited edition, so definitely get it when you can.
