First of all, the packaging is super cute. The mascara does exactly what it advertises - it lengthens your lashes like CRAZY. My lashes are the longest I have ever seen them with this, and this mascara also curled them too! It also doesn't clump at all, which is great, but I would never just wear this by itself because it doesn't give enough volume. Also, the wand is so big that it's hard to get the smaller lashes without making a mess. Overall, the mascara is good, not great, and does what it advertises it does.

This mascara made my eyelashes look crazy perfect, I'm serious. Freakishly long and thick. The only catch is that the packaging SUCKS. When it rolls, it falls, then it cracks and breaks instantly.I love this mascara but the only reason that I haven't repurchased it is because of my own clumsiness after breaking THREE tubes. I'm so shocked that it's not raved about like l'oreal or maybelline mascaras. This stuff made my lashes look way better than any other.

This is a great mascara to use if you like to layer coats. It's not too wet, so it really helps thicken and lengthen lashes. Loved it!

This mascara is so far one of my faves. It's sorta liquidy but not to the point that it's crazy like just the right amount. It doesn't clump at all and it's not waterproof but it sometimes seems like it is. The packaging probs isn't the most sanitary cuz it comes in a little tube and you open it and the mascara's in there. So someone could just try it on in store and you wouldn't know. I forget how much it was I think around $7-9 so not too bad. Overall I love it and would totally buy it again.

I have just used this for the first time today. So far I really like it. Most volumizing mascaras don't give the best length to my lashes and this is very much the exception. It goes on very smoothly and not clumpy. It adds a little length and also volumizes well. It's not the most volumizing mascara I had ever used but every other volumizing mascara has left me dissatisfied in every other department. A bonus is that it holds my curl from the lash curler. Not a lot of mascaras will hold the curl for very long. The formula is nice and dark black and stays dark. My lashes are long and when they are curled they touch my brow bone. A lot of mascaras will eventually leave light black streaks or stripes on my brow bone where my lashes touched. This doesn't. I like it and I will repurchase.

Pros:
-great lengthinging
-doesnt clump
-easy to remove
-no fallout
-Very natural and soft
Cons:
-writing on packaging wears off so you cant even tell what it is
-Doesnt volumize
-In my opinion, slightly expensive for a drugstore mascara
I like this mascara for putting of the tips of my eyelashes on top of a clear to make it look like im not wearing mascara. It REALLY lengthens the tips of it. But... The name of the product is not accurate. It volumizes zip. Zero. If you have thick lashes i would recogmend this but if you dont then... it is likely not a good fit for you.

I would give this mascara 5 stars just because it stays on all day, but I don't like the look it gives me. I like my mascara to separate my lashes, but this makes them clumpy. The brush is large too so it's hard to coat the little lashes. It's cheap though and once it's on my lashes are soft and it stays put!

This mascara was a $7 mistake. I purchased it in black and was very excited to try it. I did not stumble across MakeupAlley soon enough or I would have saved my $7 and time wasted.
When I can actually apply it evenly without stabbing myself in the eye with the flimsy, needle thin wand, it actaully doesn't look half bad. The wand is so very thin and delicate that I thought MAYBE I had just purchased a bad one...until I read the reviews and realized that others feel the same way. I dont expect to get too many uses out of this tube as the wand will not hold up to more than 10 times of being inserted and extracted from the tube without snapping in half. It is already severly bent and I've only used it 3 times....and all 3 times I was extremely gentle with it.
Will not purchase again....ever

This is a review for the ELECTRIC BLUE mascara, not the black one. I've been wanting to try blue mascara for a while, and I finally gave in. I had heard that Hard Candy made great colored mascaras, but as it turns out, that's not the case- at least for me. Maybe it's because my eyelashes are dark and the dye doesn't show up or something. But I wouldn't recommend this product. It gives a blue tint that's actually kind of pretty, so I guess I'll use it once in a while, but if you are looking for a blue that actually shows up and looks like blue, don't waste your $8 on this.

I've been searching for an amazing mascara that gives FULLNESS and VOLUME for MONTHS now and while this isn't perfect, it does the trick! The brush is wide and the bristles are spaced the perfect length apart which I love because it really seems to grab every lash individually and separate while volumizing. It's a liquidy mascara so you'll have to be careful you don't get it on your eyelids, but it coats like a dream and really does give me that thick lash I'm looking for.
Also!!! A huge plus is that when they dry they are SO SOFT! I love that!
Will definitely purchase again.

LOVE LOVE LOVE it! People have actually asked me if my eyelashes were real or fake because this stuff makes them look perfect. Easy to open package and easy to apply. When it comes to removal I'd use an eye makeup removal wipe or liquid first before swimming or going in the shower. I've used a lot of different mascaras before including ulta, avon and mary kay and this stuff just beats out the competition! Best of all, Hard Candy is NOT tested on animals.

This mascara is absolutely terrible. I bought it on a whim, and couldn't be more disappointed with it. It doesn't hold a curl, it is spidery and clumpy, does nothing for length or volume. It looks really sloppy. Would not recommend whatsoever.

I bought this mascara primarily because I am attempting to phase out products tested on animals in my cosmetics usage. This is affordable, and also not awful. I have naturally pale, straight lashes of average length and thickness. I had tried a tiny sample tube of several Hard Candy mascaras in the past, and they were extremely dry, clumpy, and gross. However, this is just the issue with samples. When I bought a new tube of Ginormous Lash, I found myself with an extremely natural (meaning no clumps or goopy effect), lengthened and emphasized lash that made me think of old-fashioned glamour rather than huge, bushy lashes. Thumbs up, especially for only $6 USD.

Okay, this was a while ago, and I bought it from Salvation Army (bad me!) but I have used it twice and it has flaked a lot and got into my eyes. I may buy a brand new batch and see what turns up, but honestly my eyes were on fire from all that flaking. I don't know if I want to take that risk again. I agree this may be completely my fault

This is probably the best mascara I've bought in awhile. absolutely zero clumps for a great price! I bought this for around 5$ at walmart in canada on a whim because I was trying to hunt down a pure brown mascara (like mudslide) instead of a "blackened brown" like all the other brands offer. as mentioned, there is no volumizing but it offers great lengthening! would definitley repurchase.

I have been ussing this mascara for awhile (trying to use it up) and I think it's average drug store mascara. I'm not sensitive but at first my eyes reacted to it and it made my eyelashes and eyes itch even after I washed it off for bed. I kept using it and for the most part it's not as bad. I like that the applicator doesn't clump, but you have to apply it a few times on blonde/lightbrown eyelashes for it to really be dramatic. It does make your eyelashes long for the day but I haven't noticed and longterm eyelash growth from the eyelash growing serum inside. Overall it's a decent drugstore brand but I'm on a search for a better one so I think I'll keep experimenting with other brands.

This is currently my favorite mascara. If I find one that I like more, I'll let you ladies know! I don't know about the growth serum claims (I haven't noticed a difference!), but it certainly does pump up my lashes without clumping them.
I've found that mascaras in general tend to work better if you soak the tube in hot water while you're applying the rest of your makeup. Mascara is the last thing I apply, so I let it soak in the sink for a good 10 to 15 minutes prior to applying it. It goes on easier afterwards and is less likely to clump your lashes together.
My only gripe with this product is that the writing rubs off of the tube (Silly, I know. Don't judge me!), and the wand doesn't have a pointed tip, so it makes getting to the lashes on the inner sections of the eyelid a real pain sometimes. If they modified the brush, this would be very nearly the perfect product!

I just got this mascara and so far i am loving it! Makes my already long lashes look even longer! Absolutely no clumping, which is what i really look for in mascaras. I will definately buy again.
Edit: I wore this mascara to work the other day and noticed that it does migrate to the lower lashes if you laugh alot. So I took some advice from the MU board and applied a little powder under my lashes and didn't have this problem anymore. I will definately continue to wear this, but I may put a dryer mascara over it to help it dry more, because I really love how it makes my lashes look longer.

This is an okay mascara. It doesn't do much in the way of volumizing, however, it does lengthen nicely and gives me nice long lashes. I don't find that it clumps either, which is always a plus. I was hoping for more volume though and it just doesn't deliver in that aspect.

I call this the drugstore version of BadGal Lash or DiorShow mascara. Similar to those much pricier options, it has a "dry" formula, big brush, & easy application (you'd have to TRY to get clumps). It doesn't flake or smudge much for me. It makes my lashes look long & thick, but never spidery or clumpy. It hits that perfect mark of glamorous lashes that are still natural looking. For $5, this is a total steal. The packaging is really cute too.
