I smelled it once and I was hooked. Bought it, loved it for a couple of days, but then... I don't know. It just started to give me headaches. I used to feel so confident wearing this, but now I barely use it. I smell too much of grapefruit and kiwi. I guess kiwi was the reason why I bought it, but now when the scent develops I hate it. It's not a unique smell anymore, seems like every other girl wears it!! And that's maybe another reason why it just sits on my shelf.

I'm surprised I like this perfume, since it's so fruity. (Normally I love clean, green scents). I was given a sample of this a while ago, and whenever I wore it people would sniff and say "What is that?? You smell amazing" It makes kind of a light first impession but the scent is actually quite strong. I used it more & more often and since I liked it so much as a little bottle, I asked for a big one for my birthday. I'm so glad I did!
Fruity fragrances are somehow not really in, are they? Anyone remember "Deci-Dela" by Nina Ricci? Apricots and figs, oh, delicious (not sure I would like it now, though).
"L'Imperatrice" is really yummy.... and yet not too much like food...
It's sparkly & celebratory like a fruity punch, but still with a bit of smokey pepper in it, and some citrus so it doesn't cloy. My favourite note is the raisiny, wine-skin element. I find it a smooth, but very satisfying daily scent.
And: the bottle is gorgeous.
Excellent birthday score.

This is my signature scent. The downside about this is it doesnt stay long on me. Bottle is very simple yet a bit pricey. Its got fruity scent and i think it is best for day wear.

I'm a fruity fragrance lover but I don't love overly sweet scents. I live in Florida so anything too sweet or warm won't work out. This is fresh in a way that reminds me of other ozonic fragrances that tend to be favorites as well. If you are looking for a grown up version of a fruity body splash this is it. It became one of my favorites and people always compliment me when I wear it. If you live somewhere hot I would give it a try.
Packaging: Simple and sturdy. I carry it around with me a lot and I have yet to see a scratch.
Lasting power: On me it lasts all day unless I go for a swim.

Im not going to write a long review on this because it just smelt like shower gel to me a pleasant shower gel as the assistant at the fragrance counter described it too- I like sweet smelling fragrances- this is one of those very fruity FRESH and floral without being powdery- also makes a lovely gift for the teens - for me it smells like shampoo nice shampoo fruity but it does not smell like a scent- which is good but then I can just buy a strong smelling shower gel at a fraction of the cost- this gives a just came out of the shower freshness- perfect for the summer and for people who lke this scent- can smell like a good shower gel- nothing distinctive- excellent price. Elegant clean packaging. Someone asked me what shampoo i used - smells like Herbal Essences lol!!!
If you like to smell clean and fruity like you came out of the shower then this is for you...
smells like GUava on me...no dimensions...

Surprisingly, I don't like this. It's mainly a kiwi and watermelon fragrance, but I don't find it especially watery. It's sweeter than I was expecting, with an unpleasant wine accord (perhaps given by the sharpness of the rhubarb mixed with the overripe fruit), which I'm surprised doesn't get mentioned in many of the reviews. I'm reminded of a wine cooler when I smell this, the kind of aroma you try to conceal in middle school. Instead of being a fresh fruit salad, this one has been sitting out in the heat a bit too long.

Simple bottle with a really pretty-smelling perfume. Have gotten compliments while wearing this one - it's a scent I don't think would be offensive to anyone, and I can't imagine ever getting sick of it. Definitely one of my favorites, one of the few perfumes I would repurchase.

Usually, ozonic scents don't work with my chemistry, but, I love this one.
The watermelon is the most promient note on my skin, along with the musk, lemon, rhubarb and a bit of musk.
What a great summer fragrance. It has great sillage with just one spray and it seems to last quite awhile on the skin too.
I'm glad I bought this one. It's really refreshing.

Deciding between this and Guerlain's Idylle....really liked how it was sweet and fruity but also kind of warm on the dry-down, until my sister said it smelt like the Body Shop's mango body wash initially....wanted something with a bit more depth. I actually really like the packaging, it looks simple and elegant to me....very impressed by the size of the bottle, although this may simply be making up for the lack of staying power....faded considerably within the first one to two hours for me, though I am used to EDPs....trying to move from from Miss Dior Cherie to something a little more mature....think I may have found it with this one!

When it comes to perfumes, it´s difficult to advise other people. The fragrances smell really different, depending on which skin you spray them.
So fyi, my skin is like a loudspeaker for any faint sweet or heavy underlying note in a perfume. It boosts every perfume towards sweet and heavy and even the employees in the beauty stores are always surprised, how my skin transforms the perfumes.
No wonder, I´m super picky when it comes to perfumes and have to try out tons of perfumes before finding a suiting one.
I went on the search for a summertime perfume and it really depresses you, when you try tons of different scents and they never develop in a right way on your skin.
The employee of the beauty store told me, it had grapefruit in it and I love fresh fruit scents, but a good (!) fruity scent is hard to find. Anyway, she put it directly on my skin and sprayed it on a test strip too.
I only sniffed my skin and thought, this could be right. As always, my skin added a sweet touch to the perfume, but the balance could be maintained. It developed beautifully and gave me a light fresh-fruity scent with a little bit of creamy warmth without being overpoweringly fruity, crispy or candy-sweet.
At first, I didn´t know why, but the smell of L´imperatrice on a test strip told me the truth: This was a very green, very fruity perfume with only the lightest sweet undertone.
It is build whit a top of red currant, kiwi and rhubarb, a heart of watermelon, jasmine and pink cyclamen and a base of sandalwood, musk and grapefruit wood.
Without trying, I would have thought: Too green, way too green. Some of the "green" perfumes surely don´t smell too sweet on my skin, but don´t smell good either.
But this is a perfect summertime-perfume. Light enough, leaning towards fruity and only the tiniest bit of warmth in it to prevent it from being too green and fruity.
This is nothing like the tropical punch fruity scents or the sweet red fruit scents, that make you smell like a 8-year old girl chewing tropical fruit gum.
It doesn´t hit you in the face with its fruitiness, but gives you a light juicy breeze. Reminds me of a fruit sorbet.
And I only tested it once and a female co-worker instantly gave me a compliment for smelling sooo good.
This perfume worked for me and my skin.

LOVE THIS SCENT - ultimate faveeee scent! Even my 6 year old baby cousin approves :D haha..
Usually most scents are overwhelming and gives me headaches, but this my friend, it makes me want to sniff and sniff...
It's a light floral scent, not too strong but classy and makes me feel/smell pretty and beautiful.
I would knock off 1 star for it's lack of staying power, but I love love this scent that I'll look past that. It normally stays about 5-8 hours on me, depending on the weather/how much I spray. Though, spraying a bit on your hair makes the scent last longer in my opinion.

I really like this fragrance, but not just because it's lovely. I like it because it reminds me of something I can't quite put my finger on--no, not another fragrance. A fruity drink or candy from my childhood, perhaps? I know it sounds weird, but it's the smell of a memory of something I can't place. It haunts me, and I love that.

I am not really into fruity fragrances, I prefer floral. I have 1 other fruity fragrance (DKNY Be Delicious) but its to common and everyone uses it. The first time I smelled this I was like "yummy!!". This is definitely the most delicious yummiest fruity fragrance ever and this is probably the ONLY fruity fragrance that I love.
Its delicious! I cant keep smelling my wrists. I smell mostly guava and a little grapefruit. Its like a fruit cocktail on your skin and it does not even smell artificial. Really nice perfume for the price. I love this and I might repurchase when im finished with this big bottle - if they still make it. The lasting power isn't that good, but its an EDT plus having this huge bottle you can spray to heart's content. This is my first and only fruity fragrance i adore this much <3

“The Star-flamboyant and energetic, for L’Imperatrice life is a movie and she is its heroine. All heads turn when she enters a room. Vibrant, magnetic she exudes charisma and force of character.”
L’Imperatrice is succulent, sparkling, and juicy. It starts with notes of watermelon and kiwi. In my opinion, the only thing that smells like fresh watermelon is fresh watermelon; it’s one of those flavors/scents that just can’t be recreated; the same goes for grape(like gum…you don’t know what the hell it is, but it sure isn’t grape…tasty though); if you really want to smell like watermelon, just rub a slice all over yourself. And keep away from picnic sites. However, I will say that D&G does an excellent job making the fresh watermelon, and when the kiwi mixes with it, it creates a mouth-watering aroma that just makes you long for cold fruit salad on a hot day. And it may just be me, but I detected slight hints of green apple. Anyway, when the fruits blend with the heart of pink cyclamen they mature and fade slightly, hovering in the background. The pink cyclamen sort of takes over from there, blossoming out and exuding sophistication while maintaining a playful sweetness. It dries down to a soft, demure musk that retains the sweetness of the watermelon and kiwi, and the floral sophistication of the pink cyclamen.
It is, without a doubt, a perfume that commands attention, but not in an obnoxious way. Like its character, The Star, it’s charming, vibrant, elegant, bright, and beautiful.

With fragrance I usually don't buy into the whole differences of body chemistry stuff, but with this one I am now a believer. First off my sister sprayed this on herself at Nordstrom's. It smelled great on her very fruity and perfect for summer. I sprayed it on myself and I legitimately smelled like someone poured natural light (yes, the awful brass beer) on me. So even though the notes are lovely on someone make sure to try it on yourself first!
