Like other reviewers, I agree that there is a learning curve for Pixie Epoxy, but once mastered, this will render for eye makeup bombproof. You need the tiniest bit, basically what comes out on the applicator naturally, gently patted with a finger onto the eyelid. I wait a few seconds for it to get tacky, then press in my eyeshadows. Wiping eyeshadows on with brush or sponge-tip can create a crusty effect, so start with a light hand and apply as if "foiling". Works best with metallic powders, glitters, or loose minerals, but can make matte shadows long-lasting if applied correctly. I also use a thin line of this in the corners and under lower lashes to seal eyeliner - not pencil eyeliners, but shadows and powders used as liners. My face is oily, eyes especially, and my light eyes are also extremely photosensitive, so I tear up in bright sunlight. I have battled disappearing and running liners forever because of this, and PE has been my salvation, keeping my eye makeup neat and intact. It also enhances colors and keeps glitters in place, so a must-have for clubbing and nights out. This stuff is inexpensive, lasts forever, and Fyrinnae has beautiful shadows and powders to go with it.. Highly recommend both this product and the eyeshadows from Fyrinnae.

Absolutely will repurchase. I have probably had this tube for 1 year. I use it almost every time I do my eyes, and I still have half the tube left. What I prefer to do is blend out my look on top of a primer, and then I take a tiny dab (I just touch my finger to the wand once for each eye) and smear it around over top of the shadow that is already there. Then I gently apply the colours I really want to pop over top of the Pixie Epoxy. This way I do not have to fight with blending it, which can prove a bit difficult.

Absolute must have.

I agree with all the glowing reviews. This stuff rocks.

The way I apply is to press the applicator to my finger with no more product than comes out on its own, wait a second, then pat onto my lid. You barely need any for it to work. Then PAT shadow on top - swiping from side to side runs the risk if the shadow looking ruddy. I've had terrible luck using many pressed shadows and I wouldn't use it for mattes (this is supposed to enhance the shimmer or color of unusual or shimmery colors, you don't need that for mattes). I use TFSI under it and love the combo.

I absolutely love Pixie Epoxy! Even though the website states 'This is not an eye shadow primer, or really a base. It is to keep sparkles on and/or to make shimmery shadows appear "glossy"', I use it as an eye primer, and I find it absolutely amazing :)

For everyday looks, I dab a tiny bit on each eyelid and use a finger to coat from my lash line up to my brows- I wait a few seconds and then lightly dust a face powder over to get rid of the tackiness.. then apply my eyeshadow as usual, and voila.. at the end of the day there is some very very minimal fading and no creasing!

When using eye shadows/pigments when lots of glitter, I skip adding the face powder over the top so my lid is still tacky and gently pat the product onto my lid.

Pixie Epoxy does take a bit of getting used to- if you add too much you can end up with a sticky mess on your lid.. you really only need a tiny little bit.. my current tube has lasted me at least six months with everyday use!

I've given Pixie Epoxy 4 stars for packaging- the reason for this is that I loath the lipgloss style packaging- I think it's so easy for the product to become contaminated.. the doe brush can end up looking dirty if I have a little foundation on my eyes.. it all seems to mix together and for that I'm not a fan.. I would love to see this in a squeezy tube!

As for the price - $7 - it's super cheap and better than the more expensive higher end primers that I've tried, I will come back, and repurchase, Pixie Epoxy every time!

HG HG HG!

I am in love. In the last few years, I've gotten really into pigments, along with my steadily growing collection of pressed eyeshadows. The majority are mattes/subtle shimmers, but bright. They work amazingly well over UDPP with NYX Milk to adhere to. However, I had a few glitter pigments and pressed shadows that I rarely wore because the glitter would either end up all over my face, or wouldn't even translate from the pot to my eyes at all.

I decided to give it a shot after reading all the positive reviews here and on blogs. This stuff is amazing. I was afraid it might be a little finicky because many people mentioned there was a bit of a learning curve. I didn't find it to be difficult at all. Just apply a little, less than you would a primer, and wait until it gets tacky before patting shadows over it.

When used overtop of a primer, the epoxy keeps all my pigments, glitters and shadows on all day with no fallout. I've even tried it with my Sugarpill mattes and found that it can work decently, even though Fyrinnae advises against using it with mattes. For the price and how much you need to use, this is an amazing deal. I grabbed 20 shadow samples when I ordered 2 tubes of the epoxy (Fyrinnae can be pesky to order from, but offer free shipping on international orders +$50), and they are amazing as well. Will definately be ordering again in the future.

I feel well qualified to rate this after taking a catnap. I woke to find my eye makeup in perfect shape where normally it would have smudged off. I find you need to apply a tad more pigment than normal, build up the colour in 2 or three goes rather than one, with this. This makes pigments go on smoother, and you can apply with eyeliner brush, then the pigment, to create a foiled liner look. I also found that it helped my Mac Patina stay on better than it usually does, so it definitely works with pressed, regular eyeshadows too.

This product is a godsend for anyone with oily lids. It is INCREDIBLE. I apply my Nars primer or UDPP up to the browbone, then a few dabs of Pixie Epoxy just on the lid and spread with my finger. I use this to apply regular eyeshadow (usually UD Naked palette), and I don't have to pat on the shadow because they're not actually glittery. Adding the PE to my routine really made the colors of the shadows pop and gave a more intense foiled look. One thing to keep in mind is that blending can be tough, which is why I only apply it on my lid and no higher. The price for how amazing this product is is incredibly cheap too, $8.75 including shipping, which blows my mind. This is a must have.

This is like crazy glue for eyeshadow!
Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy is the best (and cheapest!) shadow primer I have tried yet, and I have tried several popular ones (UDPP, NARS, etc). This makes shadows go on extremely vibrant and they last ALL day. At the end of the day my shadow still looks like it was freshly applied with this! The product itself is a thick, clear gel substance that spreads easily and is not too sticky. I also find that as long as I work quickly, I am still able to blend shadows with this on. This is an amazing primer, I highly reccommend everyone who likes e/s to give it a try!

I have just ordered a sample of this because a couple of years ago I ordered some eyeshadow samples and noticed that they weren't sparkly so I had put them aside and forgotten about them until a couple of weeks ago. I ordered some more samples and just tried them on the backs of my hands and I'm impressed! The sparkles actually show up!

I'll be frank: I'm a glitter kind of girl. And I don't just mean the kind of glitter that a lot of people favor, I mean the kind of glitter that gets called too chunky and unwearable and impossible to use because of fallout. With this product? Nothing is impossible to use. At least not because of how glittery it is.

Pixy Epoxy has been effective in making my shadows more vibrant, last longer, bringing fallout to practically nothing, and -- best of all, in my mind -- making those glitters that reviews call pretty in the pan but disappointing or difficult on the eye look perfect. When I first got this, I tested out Urban Decay's Uzi, a chunky glitter shadow famous for its fallout. Not only did every bit stick perfectly with Pixie Epoxy and couldn't be rubbed off, it actually picked up glitter from the non-epoxy'd sample when it was rubbed.

Basically, if you like glitterbombs, use this and you will be instantly seduced. If you own any shimmer or glitter eyeshadow, you probably will be too.

I can't express how much I love this product...this has allowed me to use all of my loose shadows again without having to worry about fallout. As others say, use a TINY bit and allow it to dry a little then pat eyeshadow on.

I have to say that this is my HG primer for all my mineral eyeshadows.

The first couple of times,I used this, I used way too much, and my shadows and eyeliner ended up all smudged. I looked horrible and I was on the brink of writing this off. I checked out some reviews in here (thank God), and I realised that you only have to use a really tiny amount. A little goes a very long way!

My shadows are so amazing with this primer, they sparkle and pop, and I keep the glimmer where it belong, instead of all over my face. I can not live without this product.

Oh lucky me, I finally scored a new tube of this in a swap just recently & my oh my how excited I am about this product! SOOO fun really makes my shadows stick & pop like no other! I love how it drastically reduces shadow fall-out so not as much product lands on your cheek & wastes. Looks fabulous with almost all my shadows. I think I found a staple here & may never go without. Very easy application, doesn’t take much product at all so I imagine it will last forever. I must admit though the first time I tried it I thought I was going to do a smoky eye & had no clue how to use it & ended up with raccoon eyes (not in the cute way), it was quite funny. Glad I didn’t write it off right then & actually researched how to use the product because I am in love!

This stuff is a god-send for glitter fiends like me! Works really well with loose pigments/glitters, to add some extra 'oomph' to your looks. You need the teeniest, tiniest dab, which means your tube of this will last forever. The downside is the shipping process Fyrinnae has. If you don't want to wait, you can always opt for the LA Splash Sealer/Base which is just as good as Pixie Epoxy!

Pixie Epoxy works so well for adhering sparkly and glittery eyeshadows. You do have to follow Fyrinnae's instructions to pat eyeshadows on top of this - if you brush them on in the normal manner, it makes a big sticky mess. I don't use this primer every day with every eyeshadow, but it's great with certain colors. I do wish that this came in a squeeze tube (I don't feel like the doe foot applicator is particularly hygienic, as you touch it to your face or hand in order to then pat it on the eyelids), but that doesn't keep me from reordering this. This tube lasts forever - I usually throw it away due to old age before it's actually empty.

this is a pretty good product and the best part is you just need to use a tiny dot and your eyeshadow will stick and stay in place, good quality product and would buy again just follow the instructions on how to apply it.

I got this in a sample size when I ordered some lip products and I'm very glad I got this. The lack of color works for being a base for every color eyeshadow and it works better than other eyeshadow primers I've tried. UDPP was a disappointment for me and ELF's mineral eyeshadow primer was too greasy to work.

I apply this either before or after concealer (since I have very thin and pasty skin and you can see all my veins and discolorations) and it works nicely both ways. It increases the wearing time and makes the colors of mineral eye shadows stand out nicely.

I would choose this over all the other eyeshadow primers out there, and I love the company. The themes and colorways of the eye shadow collections are awesome and the lip products are the same. Do it!

Even works on mattes!
Well, powdery ones. On a whim, I decided to try the thinnest layer over some primer potion. Blended shadow into the edges and packed on the lid color. Absolutely NO fallout and I had bright matte lids sans creasing or nyx J.Ps. I'm so tempted to stockpile this now. I'm in love.

LOVE my Pixie Epoxy! It gives my Goldilux and Tiara shadows from Sugarpill an amazing, foiled look. It also helps glitter stick to my lids. As many others have said, a little goes a looooong way. What else can I say that hasn't been said before? If you're into bright, shimmering shades, foiled looks or glittery looks, this is one product you can't go without!
