Okay, HG. I cant really say it's helping my acne yet (I'm still breaking out due to stress) but holy crap, my nose is clear! I would never have break outs on my nose, but I had a forest of black heads and little tiny white heads (clogged pores.) Not even pore strips could do the trick. But now thanks to this, no more black heads or clogged pores! And also on my cheeks (were I get black heads too) I don't have anymore blackheads! Love this stuff.

This stuff has been my holy grail of all acne products! In high school I had really really bad acne, I tried everything i could to try to get rid of it from pills, to prescription creams to every system under the sun. The summer before college I went on a trip down to California, and picked this stuff up at a Nordstrom. I had gotten a really bad sunburn and this stuff was burning my face pretty bad so i stopped for a few weeks. Once i returned to Canada i started using this stuff again and IT IS THE BEST THING IVE EVER USED. within 2 weeks my acne was at the best its ever been, the only imperfections on my face where the scars from my high school acne. Every time i vist my boyfriend in Georgia i make sure to pick up a few bottle of this magical product, I've even given a bottle to my friend and she now is in love with it just as much as i am. It can be a little drying on my chin and cheeks but nothing a little moisturizer cant fix. :D

I couldn't find my usual Biore toner so I went with this because this had a few similar ingredients as the Biore (salicylic acid and witch hazel). Whoa, big mistake! This stuff dried my skin out like no other, I’m talking Sahara desert dry. I could’ve dealt with the dryness because after I put on my moisturizer the tight dry feeling would mostly go away. However, after about a week of using this two times a day my skin started getting really red and feeling like it had been burnt. This astringent is just far too strong for my skin so I did end up finding and repurchasing my beloved Biore toner and then literally poured this stuff down the drain.

I use this product and my morning and evening toner. I love it! It works great for keeping acne at bay. It also doesn't dry out my skin at all, but I make sure to use other moisturizers after I apply this.

This stuff is HG for me. I have acne-pone skin on my upper chest and shoulders due to it both a: building up dead skin ridiculously quickly and b: the dead skin not shedding properly, so I need ridiculous amounts of exfoliation DAILY if I don't want my skin to be bumpier than a toad's.

I use this stuff on my shoulders and chest right before I go to bed and for the first time in ten years I'm starting to think I might be able to wear sleeveless shirts and tank tops in public without grossing people out once my last few scabs finish healing. I wish it had slightly more natural ingredients and that there could be less alcohol in it, but since the salicylic acid needs it to dissolve properly and work its miracles I'm not going to complain too hard.

I used this sparingly to treat acne and breakouts as it dries too much to actually shrink acne and clear breakouts. Not for everyday use unless you have a good moisturizer to go along with it. Highly recommended for acne and breakout problems.

This is my 2nd bottle and I really like it. It's a little pricey, 6 dollars or so at Walmart...I'm very cheap.
For reference I have normal skin, my breakouts only come if I use a dirty makeup brush or the few times I try to extract a closed blackhead, (the white bumps), and it then turns into a zit.
So, the times when I do extract a black or whitehead, I use this product right after and it tends to heal it much faster than any of my other million face products and it sometimes prevents the extraction from turning into a regular zit. I feel like it evens tone as well.

I love this stuff but WARNING this can be drying for people with senstive skin. I do not have sensitive skin but it was very drying for me. My solution, I diluted it with a bit of water and it is alot more tolerable. I have two bottles the normal (stronger) one and the diluted one. The diluted one I use everyday and the normal one I use it for when I have a zit I apply directly with a qtip and the next morning it is practically gone. It doubles as my toner and On-the-spot-treatment. I have already repurchased this i love it.

Definitely a must-use product after washing my face. This removes a lot of excess makeup and general grime that washing alone will miss. However, the product promises oil control benefits, which I have not seen. The smell takes some getting used to because it is very alcohol-y. Also, this can sting my face so I usually use a moisturizer right after and then the sting goes away. I will probably repurchase if I don't find another astringent that actually does control oil.

I bought this hoping it would help with blackheads on my t-zone. I've been using it for over 1 month now and I haven't noticed a difference in my skin. I do like the cooling feeling (I think anything with alcohol will have that feeling) and the fact that it helps remove whatever my cleanser missed. But my primary concern is blackheads and even though this has 2% salicylic acid it did nothing on that front and for that reason I would not repurchase.

I don't use this everyday so I can't comment on what it can do with daily use, but it does an amazing job of clearing my pores and keeping my face clear when I do need to use it. I don't experience any dryness or peeling but it has a strong alcohol scent and is very alcohol based. There are better Toners I use that can do the same thing without any harsh chemicals or alcohol. I did score this super cheap at Walgreens, so I don't feel bad wasting my money. I will finish my bottle but will not repurchase.

I've been using this for 2 weeks, and so far, I will be repurchasing. I was using it twice a day for the first few days (eager for its results), and it did dry me out even with a moisturizer. Now, I just use it at night and follow it with a pretty thick, night time moisturizer. I find that in the morning, my skin doesn't need much more than a washing and a light day moisturizer. There are more nourishing toners out there if that's what you want, but for the pore cleansing purposes, it does the job. My pores are definitely smaller, and I notice (TMI alert) less gunk in them.

I used to use this stuff back in high school, when my skin was a greasy oil slick topped by glaring red zits and clogged pores. A few years later, my skin's changed, with an oily t-zone and dry cheeks with not so many zits. So seeing this in the store brought back a wave of high school nostalgia, and I figured if it worked back then, it would work now! ...right? Wrong.

Good news...it dried up the oil slick that is my forehead. Bad news...it dried out everything else! This stuff feels wonderful going on...very nice and cooling, and I specifically bought it for the summer since my combo skin gets oilier in the summer, and the cooling effect would feel nice during the hot weather. But all this stuff did was give me huge red, flaky dry patches on my cheeks. Sad...it did clear up my zits, but my skin still looks like hell because of the dry patches. Won't be repurchasing.

I've been using this product for about 2 months and my skin has cleared up a bit. However, I won't be repurchasing because the smell of the product is too much to bear and it irritates my eyes and makes them water. Even though my skin has gotten better, I'm sure I can get the same results with another product.

I didn't buy this product; my boyfriend bought it for his acne, because he didn't even know what astringent was and thought he could use it as face wash :) Anyway, rather than waste it I started using it when I ran out of toner. This is probably the harshest astringent I've ever tried. I think you could consider this bottle an actual concentrated version of astringent, because I just could NOT use it without diluting it to 75% water. It's still very effective at minimizing my pores and keeping my face shine-free, and irritation is pretty minimal, but I have redness and just don't want to use such harsh chemicals on my skin. That's not to say it's a bad product and wouldn't work for other people, but just keep in mind how powerful it is before you apply it.

I had not used a toner in years but recently started experiencing some mild acne and decided to try something more targeted to help my face. I randomly picked this up and I am glad I did!

The product is very strong and takes some getting used to, but it really does work. It is important to use a moisturizer because this can be very drying. I haven't had to worry about that because after I apply this with a cotton pad I always apply a moisturizer. I use it twice a day. Once in the morning, before I use my moisturizer and apply my makeup and at night before applying a night cream.

I actually experimented and stopped using this for a few days and noticed my acne return and since then I am a believer! As long as I don't forget to use this my skin stays in great shape. I've already bought a back-up because I really can't get through without this.

I bought this toner when I started experiencing hormonal acne (super frustrating as an adult!) on my chin. My usually-dry skin became very much combination, and I started noticing very dark clogged pores on my nose. The long and short of it is that this toner is incredibly harsh: it contains denatured alcohol... basically an industrial-strength solvent! Upon first application, the pores in my nose looked tighter. Upon second application, I started peeling: this lasted for a week. My chin started peeling as well, and my acne got worse, largely because all of the gunk in my pores became "stuck" underneath a layer of dead, irritated skin. Note that the salicylic acid (SA) in the toner was not the issue: I use an SA-containing acne spot treatment (Clean and Clear) regularly with no issues. Use with caution, if at all!
