I have been on this quest to find the best foundation for years. You name it, I have tried it (and paid a pretty penny for it !). Prior to being a TEMPTU junkie I was a MAC maniac. With that being said, even the MAC foundation wouldn't last and sometimes made my skin break out. Not to mention it always looked like I was wearing makeup, no matter how hard I tried.
The TEMPTU, really does make you look flawless. It does take some practice and I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to hold it 4-6 inches from your face.
After my first application I was in awe. I couldn't beleive it. I looked like I had NO makeup on and had PERFECT skin.
The only downside is that if you are a novice at makeup, I would recommend practicing at least 4-5 times. The blush can be a bit tricky.
The system itself is compact enough for travel and very easy to use.
I know it is pricey, and I honestly feel a little crazy owning my very own airbrush system. If you are contemplating buying this system, DO IT, They have a special TV offer which is perfect, try it for 30 days and if you aren't head over heels return it :)
FYI. I have been on acutane and still struggle with adult acne and this system doesn't make me break out and evens out my skin perfectly.

I guess it just takes perfecting your airbrush skills. Sometimes this product looks awesome on me and sometimes it doesn't?? Could be that I need to go down in color on the pods due to not tanning.. I do love the fact that once it has set (even though it seems to take FOREVER) it doesn't move... I can go to the gym AND just touch up with powder and it still looks pretty good. I also bought Dinair and I can't seem to get that foundation to look good on me.. It dries my face out! I guess for dry skin, sticking with the silicone product is a better fit for me.. Can't wait for them to come out with some different colors... AND, I can't wait to try out the Invisible Finishing Powder.. :-)

BEWARE OF ORDERING FROM TEMPTU.COM especially if it is OUTSIDE THE usa.
Since the Temptu airpod system is not available at Sephora anymore. I had to order from their website (temptu.com)
The price was $45 for the airpod, usually at Sephora, it was around $55, for a box with 2 airpods inside. I figured this is a better deal from the mother company, so I went ahead & place the order.
SURPRISE !!!
Instead of 2 airpods housed in one box, there is only 1 pod, and the bill should read $45 was printed $10 instead, if I am sending it back for refund, will I be refunded for $45 or $10.
This is a very twisted company policy that I don't want to deal with anymore.
BTW, I emailed them with my concern, 5 days ago, no reply.

This is THE best foundation system you will EVER find. The foundation stays on ALL day, doesn't make you break out and ensures that whatever blush/bronzer you have on stays put. You can sweat, workout, have a long day and this foundation has your makeup looking fresh the entire time. I was floored when I started using this stuff. Nothing compares to it on the planet. Tips & Tricks: concentrate the foundation "gun" at a lighter spray on zits to make them dissapear. Go in round motions when spraying on your face. Don't have the "gun" on full blast when applying. Set foundation by ensuring it is dry first (use a hair dryer with a cool shot button if needed) and set with a translucent powder such as Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil.

*UPDATED 5 APRIL 2011 * : I have been using this more and more, and have come to like it quite a bit. But when I first got this, I had pneumonia and was coughing quite a bit. When I continued to cough almost two months afterwards, I thought nothing of it. Now I'm beginning to think it's because of TEMPTU. On the days I'm not using it, I don't have the chronic cough. I'm going to have to be more aware of how I'm breathing while applying this and see if it makes a difference.
.........................
I have been debating this for awhile, and I still find myself going back and forth on whether I really like this system or not.
I have been using BareMinerals for six years, but during the winter the brushing and extra touching of the skin causes my face to get really oily. So, I thought maybe airbrushing would be a good thing - I wouldn't be touching my skin as much.
Now even though I'm not brushing foundation on, I still have to do a lot of prepping before applying this foundation. I am fair, so any blemish sticks out on my skin like a beacon, and during the winter I tend to break out a bit.
It is possible to use this system to conceal blemishes. I find putting it on the middle setting and getting about an inch from the blemish, going in small circles with just a light touch, works. However, even the build-up seems to be a bit sheer, and I'm finding myself adding more coverage after I'm finished applying the foundation.
I love the finish. Your skin really does look great. But I'm thinking this system is really wonderful for those who have pretty clear skin, and are maybe just looking for something to even out skin tone or light scarring.
The only reason I'm not sending this back right now is because my skin is pretty clear during the summer, and I want to give it a shot then.

I am actually surprised that more makeup junkies haven't raved about this. Although the system is definitely a pretty penny, the results are well-worth it! Plus, once you buy the system, the pods are only $55 for two, which is less than my other HG, MUFE foundation. If you are acne-prone, or stuck with the scars (like me), this will be your new HG! Although it will add another few minutes to your morning routine, the formula somehow covers all without looking like a full face. I go over this with a Sigma F80, and I am flawless. I have actually gotten complimented on my skin, which, underneath it, is far from perfect.

Had this unit for a year. Messy app gets in my hair. Also, unit takes up too much counter space and I've had several pods clog. Too much trouble switching pods, m/u, blush, highlighter.

After spending a fortune you realise that this system doesn't work at all. I find it impossible to spray my face all over evenly without missing somewhere! Also the actual foundation is too greasy/shiny for my liking and the shades aren't exactly brilliant either! Save your money and get a bobbi brown foundation!

I think this is a great value. I had been wanting to try MUFE HD Foundation but since I've gotten this, I am for the first time content with a foundation. The coverage is buildable so I don't understand the complaints. I don't even use concealer when I use this and it still looks great. It also doesn't cake around blemish or settle in fine lines. LOVE it. and I don't think people understand that it is actually a great value! After the initial purchase of the system, the airpods only cost $55 for 2! MUFE HD costs like $45 for 1 and the airpods will last you about 6 months or more. I love this and the coverage it gives me.

I finally broke down and bought this product and I am really glad I did. I have Oily skin although I am pushing 50 and large pores This make up stays on all day, no oily shine through. I do not use as a concealer. the artist at sephora did reccommend I use a Taklon brush to gently pat the foundation into the large pores on my cheeks and chin. I gently pat the foundation with the brush after applicatiion and then stroke downward and viola no large pores to be seen, I do use a primer under and have tried it with and without powder looks good and lasts quite well both ways. could not be without I constantly get compliments on my skin and no one would ever guess my age they all think I am about 10 years younger, whats no to love about that

The Temptu Air Pod comes in a nice package and seems great. If you have nearly flawless skin and don't need foundation in the first place, yes this product may be for you. For those of us with less than perfect skin, this product gives very little coverage. It wipes off if I touch my face accidentally. Furthermore, it made me break out even more. I would say this product is NOT worth it all all. It's expensive and does very little coverage. Do not buy!

I have this in 001 Porcelain. (the lightest, cool toned shade).
I have used other air-brush systems, but the temptu I like the best. I find it extremely easly to use . With my other air-brush systems I found they took a lot of time, cleaning, ect. (as well as messy liquids).
The temptu, once set up ,you just plug it in and press one button and it is so quick. I leave mine set up all of the time . I also Love SK-II air-touch, but I believe it is soon to be discontinued.
I find the finish very natural and long-wearing as well.

I bought the Temptu in hopes of flawless coverage and lasting coverage.
I couldn't let my face touch anything, or it would rub off.
I used sheer, to maximum coverage. And with/without primer or a setting powder. You can't retouch it during the day when the disaster happens. I wanted to like it, but there is something wrong with the 'water resistant' formula. It has a nice smell to it (the only plus) but I didn't see too much of a difference. And since I tend to get oily after working all day, it was annoying that I could touch up those areas. Or it would melt and smudge... Just bad.

Huge 2nd on all of windeyes comments. You must prime for pores (I love Clinique's pore minimizer) and conceal any redness, zits, etc (I use timebalm). I have found this to last all day on me with a dusting of MAC's translucent finishing powder. Just have to stress this is not a buildable foundation and about medium coverage. However, the flawless, natural look is worth the extra steps of concealer. I do, however, use this for my undereyes which aren't that bad. I just spray a little extra on a finger and pat, pat, pat. No shimmer and not matte. Just a skin looking foundation that my DH loves. I think we all probably put on too heavy a coat sometimes and I'm trying to learn to live with some skin actually showing through! It's difficult but at 35 too much is too aging and I still feel 27 or so. Order from QVC who has an excellent return policy. EDIT: Now realize this is only for those with perfect skin. Cannot get it to ever look natural and pretty. Sigh.

I haven't taken the time to write a review in 5 years...but this product deserves it. My motive is selfish...I want this line to be a success...it is truly the best makeup I've ever used and I want it always available. What am I comparing it against? You name it, I've probably tried it (I love makeup, it's my "hobby" ). Before Temptu I had Cle De Peau (you think Temptu is pricey?), Kevyn Aucoin, Laura Mercier, SKII (hated, by the way, and also very expensive) & BE to name a few. This is by far my favorite. I use Clinique pore minimizer in the T-tone and that's it, I don't like a coat of primer. If you can spray paint, you can apply this. I concentrate on the imperfections and pull away for the rest. I have aging skin (oooh, that's tough to write) large pores and broken capillaries...the kind of skin that begs for foundation. This covers beautifully and lasts. As with any foundation, the better the "canvas" the better the results...I used this on my 22 yr old daughter and it looked great...she doesn't have skin "issues" like me and rarely wears foundation...doesn't like the way it feels...she really liked this.

The foundation applies very nicely gives a beautiful airbrush finish! However by the end of the day i have no foundation and for the price this should not be. Unless they change the chemical makeup of this product and make it last all day i WILL NOT purchase this product again. Hope this was helpful!

I have had this for about 5 days now. I was a little intimidated at first and had a hard time getting the pod apart. I guess I should have read the directions first or watch the video that comes with it.
It is easy to put together and easy to airbrush. The flow is adjustable and easy to control. It takes about 30-40 seconds to do the whole face. I also have a couple of scars on my arms that I cover with it. The look is gorgeous, a little dewy but you can put on powder to have a matte look. It lasts for hours but if a touchup is needed, the travel brush with powder in it is easy to throw in your purse and does a good job with extending the look. I am going back to get a blush and bronzer.
I love the look and would give it a 5 except it is so darn expensive. This is my Christmas present so spending the money wasn't a problem for me.
This is my first review..hope it's OK....

I am a covert to Temptu. I had been using MUFE Mat Velvet for 5+ years and never switched. I am a true makeup junkie and nothing has impressed me like Temptu. The best benefits are the great coverage with less makeup, that it is VERY long lasting (13 hour days at work!) and feels weightless. I also feel like i am breaking out less as I am not using brushes or sponges. I use the foundation pods, powder bronzer and the blush pod and love everything about it. I keep the "dial" to slightly more than medium, just past the "start" line, as i like a little heavier coverage. The ability to cover blemishes is amazing!

I am in love with this. I love to get my makeup professionally done because I love the look of airbrush makeup. I also love how it lasts all day long. Well now you too can do a pro look at home. The machine is really easy to use. But man the coverage. The coverage is perfect. You can adjust it from sheer to full coverage. It looks natural but polished all day long. this lasts all day long for me. I have to admit my skin is not too oily. But I love the coverage. It looks perfect. I can adjust it to sheerer for everyday use or full coverage for nighttime use. I love it. Although it is expensive, having good makeup everyday is worth it for me. I use the color Natural #7
