There used to be a similar product in a shorter, wider container. This product is good as well, though. I like that it applies smoothly, but the formula is still thick, so that it lasts on the lips. The taste and smell is a little too strong, however, and I wish there was more of a pink tint. Otherwise, convenient and effective.

Blueplastic's description of this product's scent/smell made me laugh!!! The scent is particularly unpleasant; my first thought at its notes is "grapefruit", some kind of citrus note, however it's not a crisp clean fragrance. I don't like it, and it's the top reason I would be inclined not to repurchase this product. Otherwise, the formula is nice (not too slippery and oily, and not too sticky/thick). It is nice over more matte lip colors. Note to NIVEA: Please bring NIVEA Beaute to the USA. It'd be well-received here in the USA where we buy lipsticks like candy~*~*~

This works well as a lip balm. My lips feel moisturized during wear and still feel soft when it's worn off. It doesn't stay on long if you eat or drink, but it's a balm so I wouldn't expect anything else. It has just a slight pink color with a little shimmer and looks fine on, just don't expect a lot of color.
If applied lightly (sort of hard to control because of the squeeze tube packaging), it doesn't feel sticky. If you apply too much, it will probably feel a little sticky.
I took a lippie off because what the heck is that smell/taste? It took me the longest time to identify it, but I think I've nailed it down - roses and musty books. Seriously! The scent isn't bad per se, but it's kind of strong when first applied and roses+musty books is not a taste/smell I'm going for when applying a lip product!
The important thing is to apply as thin a layer as possible so you get less stickiness and less weird taste/smell.

I have really sensitive lips and this product does not irritate them at all. My only complaint is taste, but it's not to be eaten. LOL. I find that it's mildly sticky, but not bad at all. I like to use it before bed. Good night time lip product unless you sleep face down

i like it. its alright. i like the color though because i feel its a really light subtle color that can be layered over any color or it can be worn alone for a natural look.
This claims to have "brilliant clear glossy shine", "no-sticky residue", and "long lasting moisturization".
The "brilliant clear glossy shine is true. it gives a beautiful shine.
The "no-sticky residue" is false. There is a slight sticky residue.
The "long lasting moisturization" is ummm well its so-so.It give a little bit of moisturization.
Very nice packaging. squeezy tube. controlable.
Smells nice. a little bit sweet and fruity.
Overall, i wouldn't repurchase this only because i fee like there's better products out there.

Finally found a lip moisturizing product that works. I love that this products stays on for quite a while. The texture is not sticky considering it is a thick gloss. I love it, my lips love it. I'd definitely buy this again. No color, no taste.

This product is really moisturizing. it's not sticky like the tube says, and you can wash it off with water if necessary. It's shiny, which is good. If i were to buy this product again, i'd buy it in Pink Glossy Lip Care instead, for more color.I got this at Walmart at the aisle next to the cashier. it was very affordable, about $2.00. (:

I love this lip balm! For me, there are so many pluses to it. First off, its affordable and can be found practically in any drugstore. There are several varieties of balm to choose from. They are frequently sold in two packs (where you pay for one, but you get a bonus stick!) And I think the packaging is cute. I always pick these up if I see them on sale or if I'm running low.

I just bought this at Wal-Mart. I've seen this in store displays, but I ignore it due to the fact I've had problems with the other Nivea lip balms. To my surprise, this stuff is AMAZING!! I've been wearing it all day. It's very moisturing. I like the way it feels on my lips even under lipstick or gloss. It's not sticky nor waxy. It feels like what a lip balm or lip gloss should feel like. I apply before I put on lipstick. Sometimes I apply it over my lipstick to make it as gloss. I'm very satisfied with the price as well. I will definitely repurchase this. It's perfect!

I would like this product very much...if it didn't leave the most nauseating, perfumey, obnoxious taste on my tongue - even if I don't lick my lips, which I simply do not do. It's HORRIBLE!
The actual look of the gloss is nice and subtle with a very light touch of shimmer, and the texture isn't sticky. But the way this cloying taste invades the mouth is unforgivable. It literally turns my stomach.
It's a shame, because that is really the only thing wrong with this, but it is SO WRONG that it really drags the product down. I wouldn't even take off lippies for the lack of SPF, but the taste is intolerable.
Ugh.
UPDATE: Okay. I've had this for a few weeks now and, while the taste is still pretty bad, I must say that the texture, look and feel of this product are damn near perfect.
The one I have is 'natural', and it's got the perfect amount of innocuous shimmer to make your lips look full and juicy minus the disco-ball effect; it's just enough to reflect a little light - nothing more.
It's not sticky or overly glassy, and the staying power is surprisingly good, so I'm tacking on one extra lippy. Just one though, because damn this thing still tastes bad. I have to hold my tongue to the roof of my mouth when applying this in order to ensure none gets in my mouth, and I would never even dream of subjecting my poor boyfriend to this one, and I've put him through a lot, bless his heart..

It's great as a clear gloss - I can't really see any color at all. But that doesn't bother me: it's my favorite Nivea product. It moisturizes well, doesn't bleed if I put a ton on, and it stays on even after I drink a cup of water. I haven't felt any strange film yet, but so far I'm loving this product.
Edit-- It's a few months later, and I still have not managed to throw this away. It's a keeper. I love the smell. So much.

Love. It! People must understand that this is not a gloss, per se, its a shiny lip balm. So it's supposed to moisturize first and add a bit of natural shine to make your lips look pretty and it does just that for me. And my lips don't feel all dried out after multiple applications through the day. And a MAJOR plus is that I'm less likely to get that weird white, film/line on my lips (that appears without warning) like I do with a gloss (like MAC products). My boyfriend always raved about how much he loved the MAC lipglass on my full pout, but whatever this stuff is doing to my lips seems to be knocking his socks off. At just random times (at a stoplight!) he'll look at me and say, "your lips look so pretty!" And I think it because they look sexy in a totally natural way, not by screaming, "hey! look at me, I'm all glossed up!!"
I'm also tempted to stock up in fear of it being discontinued. It is a little pricey for a balm, but if you can catch a deal with a coupon its a beauty girls bargain!

I have tried a lot of lipglosses and found this Nivea gloss at Ulta for $1.50, so figured I would give it a shot.
It is very moisturizing and has a nice, natural looking shine to it (but no color tint). It doesn't taste GREAT, but it doesn't taste especially weird either. It doesn't last through eating and drinking, so I just reapply. One of the most important pros is that it never leaves flakes or a white line on my lips like some other lipglosses do! It really moisturizes well, plus it has SPF.
I will continue to use it because I am happy enough with it and it's really cheap, at least until I happen upon something better.

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't love this product. It smells weird. It tastes bad. It does moisturize my lips. It gives me a little gloss and shine and its not sticky like other glosses. But if I apply this at night I wake up with a weird film on my lips from this. I would not buy this again

Yuuuuck.
I got this stuff once, my dog chewed it up, and I never wanted another one. It's thick and goopy, yes, it does give good shine and moisture, hence 2 lippies. But my GOODNESS does it smell and taste horrible. I never have even smelled a lippy while I was wearing it before. It's like a weird.... baby powder smell. And the taste, even with normal wear, is awful, almost like wax. The combination is gag-inducing. I guess this can be seen as a way to prevent you from licking it off, but I just can't take it.

Nivea a Kiss of Shine works really well and it last a long time. I went to Wal-Mart to replace my vitamin E lip stick and they were out. As I stood in the check out line, I noticed this lip balm. Since it was inexpensive, I picked up the Natural Glossy finish. At first, I thought it was too thick and the smell was probably something I couldn't get use to. Then, I noticed that the glossy finish didn't look like I had just finished eating fried chicken. As I kept using the balm, I also noticed that I didn't have to reapply it much throughout the day. Overall, this balm keeps my lips moist and smooth. I will definitely purchase more when I run out.

In search for the perfect lip balm, I was walking up and down the aisles at work (I work at Longs aka CVS). I noticed Nivea lip care. Loving the nude lip look, I was very pleased to see the natural tint gloss.
Not like with balms I tried before, this gloss doesn't darken my lips, which I can't stand. It accentuates natural, light, peachy tones and looks even richer if used with a nude lipstick (I use L'oreal Colour Riche Fairest Nude 800).
I removed one lipstick because even if it is very moisturizing, it is also very sticky, which I don't like. I love the color, but alas, the stickiness of the formula has made me want to avoid purchasing it again.
