What the others said is true.. it def makes your hair feel dirtier. It does feel like hairspray was applied and then brushed out.. feels exactly like that. You can hardly run your fingers through your hair, they get caught. Looks wise, which is arguably more important, it also failed to impress. It made it look passable for a few hours only. No extra volume. Expensive. Hard to use (nozzle is either off or full-on concentrated blast) - so there could've been too much of it in some areas but again you can't control this. And the alcohol denat (one of the top ingredients) gave me an itchy rash along my hairline (I should've paid more attention to the ingred list). On top of all this, it dried the heck out of my ends, despite not even targeting that area with the spray. There are much better dry shampoos out there.

This is not bad for a dry shampoo! I like the scent, which is so much better than the chemically scent of the Psssssst! dry shampoo I usually use. I find that this adds a bit of lift to the roots and does a good job of absorbing oil. It has a tendency to spray on pretty white, which on my dark hair I have to be careful to comb out completely, but overall this is a good dry shampoo.

This is a great product! I currently have short, very fine hair. I usually have to shampoo it every day, but I can skip a day using this. Not only does it absorb oil and refresh my hair, but it gives it more body, texture, and volume. My ONLY complaint about this is that EVERY can I have purchased has gotten clogged -- either the product stops coming out completely or spirts out. I've tried running it the top under hot water and poking it with a pin, to no avail. :( If not for this problem, I would have given it 5 lippies!

I received a free sample from a good friend of mine who is a hairstylist and she didn't care for it (she happens to have very thick, dry hair). In my experience, this product is suited best for fine/thin/limp hair that gets oily quickly (which is exactly how I would describe my own hair). A little goes a long way so, it is easy to over-apply and end up feel like you have too much product in your hair. Kinda pricey so, I am thankful I was able to try this one for free. I'd probably purchase this dry shampoo since it helps add another day without washing my hair.

I have tried all the dry shampoos out there (spray and powder) and this is the only one that actually gives you volume along with actually getting rid of the oil! Hairstylist will tell you that dirty hair is way easier to style. Well, this product gives you that "dirty" feel without the greasy look. I'm okay with that because I never have natural volume. You have to use sparingly or you will over-kill for sure. The scent is very sweet - reminds me of sweetarts - and so far, this product has allowed me to go 3 days without shampooing (again, I have super oily hair). Love it!!!!!

I used about 2 bottles' worth before I realized I did not like this product. When you first spray it on, I would say it does work - but eventually it seemed like it stopped working later in the day and my hair became weighed down and dirty-looking near my roots. It's also kind of sticky. Won't be repurchasing.

I tried to like this dry shampoo, it smelled really nice, but it made my hair feel dirtier than it already is when I use it! I'm with the other reviewers who say this shampoo just feels dirty and itchy. I don't itch too badly like some others, but it feels nasty in your hair, like overusing products or hairspray. It's more like a volumizer that you should use so sparringly. Especially if you have dry hair already.
This really didn't do much for me. I like Rockaholic's dry shampoo much better.

I usually wear my hair short but I've now grown it out into a bob! Any how, I have a lot of medium textured, wavy, curly highlighted hair and recently I have been dusting talcum powder on my roots to postpone washing it! So, I decided to purchase my first dry shampoo! This was an impulse buy. I don't like it at all. It makes my scalp itchy. It also kinda flattens my curls and makes my hair crunchy. The smell does not suit me either! Definitely not for me! I also thought 18 dollars was too much for this product! UGH! Now I have to go back to the mall to return it! Do I try another dry shampoo or just go back to the ole sprinkling talcum powder technique?

This is a fantastic dry shampoo!! It makes your second and even (gasp) third day hair look and smell amazingly clean!! I definitely gives great volume too, the ONLY thing I don't love is that it makes your hair a little stiff.. you can TELL by feeling it that there something in your hair... but at the same time it gives you texture and volume so I'm not complaining to bad about it. All in all its a great product and does exactly whats its supposed to do--clean your hair!! I will definitely repurchase!! its great for late mornings and camping trips =)

I only got to use this stuff twice before the sprayer stopped working and nothing would come out no matter what I tried. It did add tons of volume, but it made my hair feel like straw and not at all soft. Wouldn't buy again.

So I got the travel size which was $5.95. I figured let me give it a try. It was a great product for the first time but some thing def. went wrong this time around since no product is coming out at all. For only one use its not worth the money. Too bad I thought I would really like it.

Wow. This product is my first adventure into dry shampoo, and I think this is where I'll stay. I wanted to find an alternative to washing my thick hair every day, and a fantastic alternative this is. The name is appropriate, as this gives me fantastic, bedhead sex hair. The volumizing properties of it really work well.
I also learned the hard way to start with just a little bit, and then work up to more if you think you need it. I used a bunch the first time around and ended up with a crazy product buildup texture in my hair. Now, I'm a chick who enjoys a little "producty-ness" in the hair to add a little grip and body, but too much of this stuff even pushed me over the edge. Start with a little, work your way up. For real.
Overall, I LOVE THIS! No more funky overwashed straw hair for me. This is some sexy, sexy stuff right here.

I would not call this a dry shampoo. I would call this a Volumizing product. Yes no white residue and Yes you get volume. But it does not make your hair feel "fresh". Your hair will feel very, very dirty like you have industrial strength hairspray in your hair. Seriously, this was like Backcomb in a Bottle with out the white stuff and a bit less hold. So if you just want volume and don't care about gunked up hard to wash later hair...this is good. Be warned though, my head itched and itched after I used this. It felt awful (itchy, dirty, gunked up).
I much prefer Pssst for a dry shampoo. That smells fresh and clean and leaves my hair feeling fluffed, not gunky. Also Pssst doesn't make my head itch the way BSH Vol. Dry Shampoo did...I mean it really, really itched!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. I have tried other dry shampoos and nothing compares. This one doesnt make my hair feel heavy and leave white residue like others. It also really soaks up the oil and I now can go days without washing my hair, when before I used to have to wash it every single day. Definetly is also very easy to apply and use.

This really works! I have super duper oily hair (the kind where it starts looking 'wet' by the next day), and this stuff literally made my hair look matte! I love that you just spray it on like hairspray, unlike the dry shampoo powders. The only thing is is it made my hair feel so dry, just like how it would feel spraying a ton of hairspray in your hair and brushing it out. So, though I do really like this product, I probably won't buy another bottle of it - it seems to last forever! - I'd rather just wash my hair everyday than have it feel straw-like.

Hands down best dry shampoo on the market. It blows away all the competitors I've tried and managed to fix the problems other dry shampoos have. #1 It is a spray thus so much easier to use than the loose powder cousins (I'm looking at you Oscar Blandi). With the loose powder squeeze bottles, I can never get all the oil out. I either get white streaks in my hair or it all concentrates only at the roots...and when my hair gets oily, it tends to spread about 2 inches down my root. That makes combating it difficult with the loose powders. This sprays exactly like a hairspray. #2 I have also not had the problems with the cap clogging up like the other sprays. I've used it about 6 times or so and there is no residue buildup on the cap. #3 It also feels like there is a good amount left (at least 85%). The bottle is a smallish 3.4 oz but it seems to last pretty well. #4....NO WHITE POWDERY mess. It looks like you put nothing in your hair. I even have natural shine left to my hair after using this (although someone with dryer hair may feel this is too drying). The smell is perfect...like hairspray...so no telltale "I didn't wash my hair" signs. It even works good to perk up the smell of my hair. #5 My hair actually looks nice when I use it. It doesn't fall limp like it sometimes can when it's not freshly washed. My husband even commented on how it looked like I just washed it. It had body to it so was very easily styled into a voluminous ponytail like I like to do on non-wash days. I personally didn't feel the price was bad. I paid $10 when I searched google products for it, and got 2 bottles so shipping cost was reduced a bit per product. I will stock up and hope they never discontinue this because it's the perfect dry shampoo.

This is the best dry shampoo spray I've used. I have black hair so it was imperative that it not leave white marks. This spray leaves no white marks! It smells fine, kind of like hairspray. The only downside is that it did leave my hair feeling a little dry & rough, like I used hairspray, but I'm not complaining. It's the only dry shampoo that smells good & works without leaving white marks. It is a little expensive too, but try to find a coupon for Ulta or find it on sale.
Edit: I knocked it down a lippie for terrible packaging. I can still hear some product left in the can, but I can't get it to spray!! So frustrating.

This is a great product! It really lives up to its expectations and adds tremendous volume to limp, greasy hair. When I first bought this product, I wasn't sure how effective it was going to be considering I've been desperately trying numerous brands of other dry shampoos for 3 years. I have always been left disappointed with the results and been forced to shampoo my hair daily due to grease and product build-up. Although it's a bit pricey, it is a reasonable investment because my hair has never felt better. I can skip showers and get ready faster in the morning because all I have to do is spray this on, leave it in for a couple of minutes, and then brush it out. My hair feels instantly refreshed.

My HG. I am 27 and for my entire adult life have been forced to wash my hair daily if I wanted it to look halfway decent. I also have long, thick hair, so after washing it, it takes FOREVER to dry and by the time it is dry, I rarely have time for style.
Dry shampoo has truly changed my life…OK, well, that may be overstating it…. but it has at least changed my beauty regimen. I wash my hair every three days. On day one, I wash as normal and dry it with Morocconoil (another great hair product). The Morroconoil gives it some shine and softness in anticipation of not being washed for a couple days. On day two I wake up, put my dry hair in a shower cap, and take a shower. After I am done with the shower, I get out and spray the Big Sexy dry shampoo, let it set for 2 minutes, brush, then dry and straighten. It looks better on day 2 than day 1 – and holds the straightener better too! On day 3 I do the same, but throw my hair in hot rollers. My hair holds the curl SOOO well on the third day!
I have tried every brand they sell at Ulta. This one is BY FAR the best. I have also tried the Tigi Rockstar, Oscar Blandi and Ojon. Oscar Blandi sells a non-aerosal, liquid drop version also – avoid! Much harder to use than the aerosol versions.
