This review is for the Tarte "long wearing eyeliner" that came in the Tarte eye shadow kit ( quilted purple container w/the lock and key charm). This eyeliner stick ( double sided ) is one of the worst I've ever used. Very dry and does not go on smoothly at all. This purchase was my first in the Tarte line and will be my last...was not impressed w/the eye shadow either..worse fallout of any shadow I've used.

The tarte pencils are soft and have such a high level of pigment that it gives you a strong beautiful line. I typically use the black so it is a bit of a waste to have both colors on the different ends but it comes in handy when you want the other tone.

I love this eyeliner pencil. No matter what shade you choose you still get a black pencil on the other end. I have the navy, black pencil and am going to get the charcoal and brown pencils. Who says you cant have enough black pencils. These go on smooth, and are wearable all day. Awesome. sephora.com for them.

In less than a minute after applying a thin line on my upper lash line I look like I could be the only blonde female member of Good Charlotte. Here comes Ms. Smudgy Mc Smudge!

No better than a lower priced eyeliner

I thought the concept of a double ended eyeliner was great, and I was so excited to try this product. I got the black/plum, and right away loved the colors. However, I will not buy this product again since the first time I tried to sharpen it, the pencil broke. Well, I liked the plum so much, I was determined to make it work. The next time I needed to sharpen the pencil, I ended up using up almost the ENTIRE product to get a point that didn't break off. very disappointed!! I feel like I wasted $20.

I have every color of these and I love them. They are the perfect consistency for blending... They have yet to break while sharpening. Definitely worth the price as the quality is superb!

I like the idea of the double ended eyeliner but this pencil was nothing spectacular for $18. I got plum, one end purple and one end black. Very smooth application, no tugging, reminds me of MAC kohls. So unfortunately, like MAC, these smear after a while. So its not perfect and the shades are nothing unique for the cost!

Goes on smooth, and smudges beautifully, a great pencil, and I'm very very picky about eye liner pencils. I've got black/brown, and the black is a lovely charcoal color and the brown is a great cocoa, the first brown eyeliner I've ever liked :)

Nifty eyeliner pencil - one end a dark brown, the other classic black. This goes on more smoothly than any pencil eyeliner I have found to date. It is also very smudgeable. Unfortunately, those two qualities are also its downfall. Less than an hour after applying this to my upper lid, it will have evaporated, and often landed in an icky, under-eye smear. I have non-oily eyelids, and have never had that problem before. It is the amazing vanishing eyeliner. I still like it, however, because it travels well, the brown is flattering, and because I can make it work with BeneFit's She Laq.
