Love this stuff. I have shoulder length auburn hair that gets dry at the ends and greasy at the roots frequently. I straighten my hair a lot but got out of that habit this summer and wanted to find something to give me waves, but without the crunchy. Bought this at walmart for 5$ - I use less than a quarter size after my hair has towel dried to about damp, then I put my hair back in the wrap towel - dried a bit and got tousley then put the same amount in again. Great job, no crunchy or greasiness - really love this stuff!

I have wavy, fly away hair that gets tangled less than 30 seconds after I brush it. Doesn't hold a curl (unless I sleep in curlers) which is odd because you would think that if you have wavy hair it would, but oh no...my hair is a wild child and doesn't ever do what she's told!!

My fair is baby fine in texture but I have ALOT of it. It tends to get greasy but I also have dry ends. Because I color my hair, I try to only wash it no more than 3 times a week which means that I avoid most styling products (other than the occasional spritz on hairspray) because they all make my hair greasy much quicker.

All that being said...I love this product! While my hair is still slightly damp, I can run it through and then brush it out and it helps keep fly-aways in place and I've also used it as a light-setting cream while putting my hair up in rollers or braiding it for waves overnight. It makes my hair softer, helps with frizzyness at the ends and does not make my hair sticky or hard. This is a light-control styling product but that it what I like about it...smells great too! Since using this, I purchased the matching conditioner because I liked the smell so much.

My only compliant is that it is in a jar and that is why I deducted 1 lippie...it would be much easier to use if it came in a pump or a squeeze tube.

I had high hopes for this product, since I loved the shampoo, conditioner, and mousse from this line, but it fell far short. It smells great and the initial results look really good, but as soon as the product set in, my hair was crunchy and gross feeling. Kinda like that feeling when you have dry syrup in your hair.
I don't know if this changes if you use it before blow drying, but I personally won't repurchase this.

Overall I like this product. I use it after the spray gel by dabbing a bit on my fingers, working the product between them and then going over my waves. I highly recommend using this after the spray gel, as this doesn't have a lot of hold by itself (it IS a finishing cream). It does a good job of taming fly aways though. Also there's a ton of product in the tub so I don't think I'll be repurchasing for a long time!

Overall I enjoyed this product. I use it most as a finishing cream to smooth out frizz, but I have used it to hold my waves before and it worked fairly well. I LOVE the smell!!! Downside is, if you use it, the next day it will get hard and crispy, and is impossible to brush out. So basically just wash it out thoroughly.

I'm pretty dissapointed in this product. I had high expectations after reading a bunch of reviews about this stuff. Unfortunately, it did nothing for my hair but leave knots in the back that were so bad I actually had to use a lot of force with my hairbrush lol. Long story short, I will not be repurchasing this product. The only thing I really liked about it was the smell. I use Tousle Me Softly Spray Gel though and I absolutely love it.

First, the smell is wonderful. Second, the product is so so. It doesn't really do ANYTHING. maybe I just don't have enough curl, but I returned it. The whole line smells wonderful though. I bought the conditioner just for that reason.

I love this product. For best results, I do as the package says and "tousle" a quarter size amount of the cream through my damp hair before blowdrying. I use my fingers to comb through my hair while blowdrying rather than a brush, as this gives it a more messy effect. I leave my hair a bit damp, then pull it into a loose bun and take it out when I am ready to leave for wherever I am going. The result is soft, shiny touchable waves - a definite step up from my naturally pin straight, limp hair. And soo cheap too - on sale for $3 at my Target! I deffinitely recommend this product.

So, at first I really liked this product. I have naturally wavy, thick, and long hair but when the humidity hits it (I live in Kentucky/Ohio Valley) my hair turns into a big frizz ball. So I bought this in hopes of curing that. I typically put this on my hair right after I get out of the shower and apply it to my ends and around my crown area since that's where I tend to get the most frizzies. Well, it was all fine and dandy the first month that I used it. Did as it was supposed to do and I loved it. However, for pretty much the past month, it's been getting crusty and hard. I haven't changed anything, doing my daily routine but for whatever reason it's been causing my hair to get gross and hard. I'm gonna switch up my routine a bit, but if it stays crusty, I'm looking for something else.

I really like this stuff! I've used Pantene Curl Gel, Garnier Wonderwaves, and Sunsilk Waves products and all left my hair hard, crunchy, and gross! The Tousle Me Softly Finishing Cream is the only product so far that has given great results.

I have shoulder-length, thick, and wavy hair that flicks up in all sorts of crazy directions if left to air dry after a shower (yuck!). I towel dry my hair a little bit after a shower and put on the Finishing Cream. I take about a three-finger scoop of the finishing cream, spread it by rubbing my hands together a couple times, then scrunch my hair. After I scrunch my hair I let it air dry. I haven't used it on dry hair, only damp hair. The product has a creamy consistency. It smells nice and isn't too overpowering. My hair ends up with bouncy, tousled waves just like advertised. My hair isn't sticky with gel or hard and crunchy. It's very soft and practically frizz-free using this product alone (I live in Florida) so that is a feat in itself. Took one lippie off because I don't like is that it is in a jar, so you have to scoop the product out. It's not a big deal, but a squeeze bottle would be nice. Will continue to repurchase because this product rocks!

So great! Really defines waves/curls and gives you that tousled look without being too crunchy (as the product suggests). It also smooths frizz and flyaways. Also it comes in a huge tub that I've had for about 6 months, and I've hardly made a dent in it. Just wonderful!

THIS is the styling cream I have been searching for! It gives a nice soft hold and definition, without making my face feel greasy. While I don't think this is officially CG-friendly, it IS pretty water soluble and not nearly as sticky and tenacious as any other pomade or styling cream I have ever tried. It won't hold up a mohawk....but it will give definition and soft, clumpy hold to waves and curls. THUMBS UP. Plus I love the violet splash fragance

I like this product, and over all the line in general. I'm not fond of the tub it comes in, but I'll still re-purchase.

It doesn't do too much alone, but with the gel I find that it fights frizz and adds some bounce to my curls without crunch.

My hair is thick and slightly wavy.

I have very layered, thick hair that comes to about an inch past my shoulders. Usually, it only has a slight wave to it and tends to just frizz and flip up at the ends. Ick.

I love how this product really defines all the layers in my hair and gives so much movement and swing. It's helped me stay away from my hair straightener (which I used to use every single day) since my hair looks fabulous wavy and I can keep from causing more damage to my hair.

I use this while my hair is still quite wet from the shower by applying a quarter-sized amount to my palm and scrunching it into my hair. Then, i clip my hair up into a very messy bun to get even more wave. The result is soft, touchable waves! I love that the scent of this isn't overpowering at all and I can get it anywhere for about $5. The packaging allows me to get every last bit out but it can be messy. Its consistency isn't a bit sticky and feels very jelly.

Would SO repurchase.

I have been using this, the mousse and the shampoo and conditioner for about a month now, and I like this. Not as much as the rest of the products I have been using but this is nice. I find I don't use as much as the package says too, I use a tiny bit, rub it on my hands and run it through my hair, after I have used the mousse and while my hair is damp. eathier wrap my hair in a towel to finish drying or blow dry and I get perfect messy but not to messy look. I probably will buy it again although you get a big tub for a good price (about 5 bucks) so I wont need to buy it soon, I want to try the spray gel and hair spray next!

I only use this on damp hair after I have washed it ,and it works very well .Nice soft waves.I agree with the below reviewer about it clumping ,when used on dry hair ,because it is A very thick finishing cream.Smells like cucumber to me anyway ,not too bad.It is also in tub form. I will use this when my hair is wet and need to find something less thick for dry hair .I used to use sunsilk straight but they discontinued the cream ;-(

This is my current favorite styling product for my chin-length, layered, naturally wavy-curly hair. I apply it to my damp hair, contrary to the product-name and package-directions. (I’ve tried applying it to dry hair, but it just makes my hair clump together). I apply about a 3-finger scoopful to my towel-dried hair from roots to ends (after applying the Tousle-Me-Softly mousse to my roots immediately after showering and wrapping my hair up in a towel). I distribute it as evenly as I can and scrunch my curls into shape, then I blowdry with a diffuser. I get nice, shiny, defined, frizz-free curls, that last a good 8 hours before they need “refreshed”. I find I get better results/hold, when I use a little more product than I normally would. The consistency of this is an easy-to-work with cream-gel, with minimal stickiness. It has a strong, fruity-floral scent, as do all the Herbal Essences products. I think its nice, but it is a bit strong at first (the intensity fades on dried hair, and I don’t find it clashes with other hair products I use). I like the purple tub-packaging. You get a generous amount of product for the price (6 or 7 ounces for $5-$6, though there are often coupons in the Sunday paper). I like that I can easily scoop out a small amount to put in another container for traveling, so I don’t have to lug around a big tub/tube/bottle of product. I’ve been using this for several months, and I see myself using it until it gets discontinued or I get sick of the scent or it suddenly stops working for me.

[Updated/revised in 2011] I use this on my second-day, brushed-out waves/curls to reduce frizz and help define the waves. The product is a medium/thin white cream with a mildly sweet smell. I naturally have A LOT of frizz and this does a great job at taming my hair. If I use too much, it makes my hair feel crunchy and dry, and it's hard to brush through later (because the strands are sort of glued together), but this isn't a problem if I apply it moderately, a little at a time. Other smoothing creams (applied to dry hair) have done little-to-nothing to control my frizz, but this one works great for me, maybe because it has a lot of hold. Lately I far prefer this cream to the pomades I've used in the past (Aveda Brilliant Humectant Pomade and MOP Glisten High Shine Pomade) to reduce frizz on dry hair.

Just got this the other day since I am addicted to the mousse, spray gel, and hair spray from this line. First opinion is it does a nice job. Helps w/those fly away, and I think it will be better for touch ups. My only issue is the packaging is not the best. Too easy for a clumsy person like me to spill it. I think a pump would be better.
