I really rate this. Use with microfibre cloth- takes a gentle pass or two to totally remove makeup, no scrubbing. Made for winter and cold climates! Similar concept to Clinique's Take the Day Off balm. I was actually using organic raw coconut oil before this, mixed with organic extra virgin olive oil--for the same purpose- which, it must be said, is an amazing mix- but way too expensive. About 100 dollars if I add up the cost. This balm takes off my makeup compleeeetely, and soft skin to boot. Dewy, very clean, fresh, not greasy at all.

As another reviewer said, feels like a mini facial. very luxurious indeed. On dry skin-- massaged on, wiped off with lukewarm -not hot- damp cloth (see amodelrecommends' cleansing video on youtube for a very helpful demonstration and tips).
.
Warm water is much milder for the cleansing process than 'as hot as you can stand it' as suggested in a previous review. I prefer that because hot water can lead to tiny broken capillaries and heightened irritability for our delicate facial skin.
Not every product in this line suits me. But when it does, it reeeally does. Finally, it is reassuring to know that this is organic, and the business is certified on so many levels.

This stuff is brilliant. I love cleansing balms and have been using various brands over the last 10 years and this one doesn't disappoint. It has a nice floral scent, removes makeup and leaves the skin feeling lovely and soft. so far I've not experienced any negative side effects from using this. Its organic which is a plus. It not too bad price wise and in fact delivers the same results as some of the more expensive balms on the market. I did purchase with Saafs own brand muslin cloths which I have to admit I didn't rate much but used with a regular face cloth this works wonders. would highly recommend.

Age: 19-24   Skin: Acne-prone, Fair   Hair: Brunette   Eyes: Hazel

I was buying the Organic Eraser Body Oil for my pregnant sister-in-law and just HAD to buy myself the Face & Body Care Kit to try everything out. I think this is my new favourite brand! Its ethical & green credentials are really good and its sooo lush. It's probably a little over my normal price point for skin care but I think that just makes me feel all the more special to use! I haven't been through everything yet but I have finished my tiny tub of this cleanser.
As I said this feels really lush to use, I think the fact that its oil based helps, and I think the smell is really relaxing - it feels like a facial every morning! I do have acne-prone skin but I'm a big believer in oils (jojoba, olive and rosehip etc) and I've only had positive results with them on skin tone, dryness and irritations - I don't think they make me break out at all. This cleanser has some particles that give it an exfoliating effect but aren't scratchy at all. I think a wash cloth is necessary to get it all off or to remove makeup (and for extra exfoliating effect), but either way the skin isn't left oily - just nice and soft. It feels like it helps move stuff from pores, and heals scars and any irritations, and I think it is pretty neutral on full-blown pimples - it doesn't get rid of them but it doesn't exacerbate them either. I have mild concerns that the ingredients may lose effectiveness with the large jar, especially as a little goes a long way and it would last for ages.
I will definitely repurchase when I can afford it (give me 10 years...) and I can't wait to try out the other products!

Info obtained from www.beautorium.com (Only on-line distributor). The product is similar to Neal's Yard Wild Rose Beauty Balm and Spezia's Facial Cleanser. It is oil based, and this is how I use it.

1) Make-up remover (use Beauty w/o Cruelty) for heavy eye make-up.

2) Fill your sink with water as hot as you can stand.

3) with a cotton muslin cloth, place in water and wring out. Place the cloth over the face to open the pores. Repeat procedure.

4) Take a small amount of product out of the jar. Warm between hannds and begin to gently melt. Massage product into the face for about 2 full minutes.

5) Place another wrung out cloth over your face and allow the nourishing oils to penetrate your skin.

6) Wipe face in circular motions with the wrung out cloth until all product is removed. Splash face with cold water to close the pores after the treatment.

Your skin should fell amazingly soft and smell divine. At first this may cause breakouts. Don't panic. They are a normal occurence when changing over to an all natural, organic brand.
