I used this when I had a few breakouts and it honestly did not work for me, It left my skin brighter and the dry patches on my skin were gone but in terms of pore clearing and spot treating it dident really help there, quite pricey, I left it on for about fifteen minutes and it makes you look quite scary as its black, and it's a fun mask to use but I think it works just as well as the mint julep mask.

HG product right here. This is the BEST mask I've ever used!

I have crazy skin. It's a combination of oily, dry and very much prone to acne. It's a pain in the butt. This mask is amazing though. I've never, ever used a mask that cleans so deep down into my pores. I used to use Murad's acne mask, which is also good, but for me, I never got a deep down clean like I do with Origins.

When I first got it, it used it all over my face, every 3rd day. I wanted to purge my skin and start again. Purge it did, clean slate I got. I used it once - twice a week now, just a thin layer on my problem areas and spots, and leave it on for longer than 10 minutes, more so 20, to really give the mask to opportunity to draw all the ick from my face.

It is a bit drying, but I will attribute that to the length of time I leave it on :)

A great detoxifying mask.regular use has definitely improved my skin and has really helped keep the acne and pimples away.

Highly highly recommend! I got a small sample to try and it has def see improvement in the texture of my skin.

Fortunately, I don't suffer from acne or break outs often. I have one ore two pimples during that time of month and this has helped quickly clean and soften my skin. It left my skin super soft. I didn't even believe it. It goes on black and within 10 mins it dries up. it tightens your face, so it may be a little uncomfortable if you don't like masks like these.

I can't wait to get my hands on the full size product!

This *may* be my HG mask for pore cleansing! During the beauty insider sale at Sephora a couple weeks ago, I saw the travel size of this at the impulse stands. I looked at it for two seconds and then went to check out. After I got home I checked the reviews and was surprised that it did get a lot of positive ones ( which IMHO, is pretty rare on MUA). I went back the next day and bought the full size with the 15% off and figured if for any reason I don't like it, I can simply return it.
I tried this mask that same night. The first thing I noticed is that it's not as thick and black as it look, it feels quite thin but can be layered thicker. It gives a nice cooling effect on your skin. It takes about 15 minutes or so to dry completely but I haven't noticed any adverse effects of leaving it on longer than that. The first time I used it and was washing it off I noticed some of that nasty gunk inside one of my blackheads on my chin was hanging out and all I had to do was wipe it off. IT WAS AWESOME!
The next day I really did notice a difference in my skin and breakouts. I dont break out a lot but when I do it is in clusters and it's a pain in the butt! I've also used this as overnight spot treatments and it is totally awesome sauce! By the next day whatever blemishes I have are GONE!
What I also need to mention, this does NOT dry out my skin and I have dry combination skin. It is fantastic! I already went and bad a back up before the 15% Beauty Insider sale was over!

I love a kaolin mask for extra cleansing once in a while. Also, I have strong, somewhat oily skin that can put up with a lot of harsh products. Well- somehow- this mask had a weird, pro-aging effect on my skin. Once I washed it off I saw I had all these new lines on my face, especially on the skin between my eyes. And also near the corners of my eyes where the "crow's feet" would be. Horrified, I moisturized like mad and hoped for the best. The effect wore off after a few hours but I will never use this particular mask again.
I almost want to say the mask is too strong and that's why it did what it did to my face. But I've definitely used stronger masks than this one before. There was no tingling or burning, my face didn't even feel particularly dry after I rinsed. Very silky application, dried quickly. I did feel as though all the gunk had been pulled out of my pores, but I have other kaolin masks that will give me the same result- without making my future facial lines more pronounced! Besides, even without that weird thing that happened I didn't find that this mask did anything special enough to justify the price tag. Going to stick with Queen Helene Mint Julep.

This is a great mask for oily skin. I use this mask once or twice a week and its really good at bringing down pore size and making skin less oily. I used to use the Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask but I developed an allergy to it. This mask is just as effective minus the irritation. A great mask to try for oily skin.

Nice thick charcoal grey colored facial in a tube. I like how it tingles a bit when you apply it. It dries quickly and makes skin soft and smooth. Will buy again.

After reading rave reviews on Sephora, I purchased this last October for about $25 CAD. I LOVE LOVE this mask. Before I bought this, I bought Boscia's black mask which btw did NOTHING. Returned that and bought this. It pulls out everything from my pores and you feel the mask doing its work while its on your face. It takes about 15 mins for it to harden and once I wash my face, it feels silky smooth and looks radiant. I use this once a week (when I remember) and even my boyfriend enjoys using this. Great for any skin type and any person who wants to suck out the dirt and oil from their face. Just make sure you moisturize right away.

I LOVE THIS MASK.
this mask pulls all the gunk under my skin and it makes my skin super soft afterwards. I put this on areas where it is not broken out or has no pimples because I think it does a better job on clear skin.
I have been very diligent in including this in my skincare regimen, and found that it has helped my pores appear smaller and an improvement can be seen after using this mask.

I have to say this is the best mask I've ever bought. I used to buy the Clinique Acne mask. However when I went to sephora to buy a new one and it was sold out the manager at the store recommended I try the Origins mask and i haven't looked back.
I use this practically everyone day. At night time I will also use it as a spot treatment and leave it over night. I find it gets rid of the redness by the time I wake up.

Will definitely buy again!

I wished that this mask would be my blackheads killer but it is not.
It has a weird consistence and you can spread easily on your face. When I washed my face, all my blackheads were pushed to the surface. This would be perfect when you want to do a home facial and extract your blackheads but to use it just like this, without the after extractions, it makes your blackehads sit on top of the skin and they look ugly. The second time I tried a gentle scrub to dislodge the blackheads but most of them were still there. It left my skin white and a bit dry.
I will not repurchase.

I only have a sample of this but I plan to buy the full-size soon. I don't have acne or blackheads. I just wanted a deep cleaning mask. This works well & I don't need to use all that much. I let it dry until I can't move my face anymore (lol), then remove with a warm, wet washcloth.
This makes my skin *SO* glowy and pretty. I usually use a glowy primer but after I use this mask I can skip it for a few days.

This is a good mask. Not great but good. If it was cheaper I would rate it higher but for this price I want more, you need to use quite a bit to get results and it is used up quickly. Saying that I do like this. It is thicker than cheaper similar clay masks and I feel removes more gunk from my pores. It is quite hard to remove if you use a thick layer (which I do) I find I have to take it off in the shower which is a bit inconvenient, but I think this is why it is effective. A thinner layer doesn't feel work as well for me. I definitely think it is good a weekly clear out mask, though not a HG, but I have terrible skin!

When using this right, it is very effective. I have large pores on my nose and they tend to get clogged. The trick with this mask is to get your face slightly damp first, put it on and *wait for it to dry completely* before removing. Afterwards my pores are much cleaner, my skin glows and it even helps reduce the redness on my nose.

This product WORKS wonders if you use it the correct way. First, I open my pores by using my clarisonic for a minute. Then, I exfoliate. THEN, I apply this mask extremely generously. Afterwards, I rinse it off and splash my face with cold water. When I look in the mirror afterwards, there is not a speck of oil or a single blackhead on my face. I then put a very LIGHT moisturizer on my face skipping my nose. PS- don't leave this on too long. It will overly deprive your skin of oil and you will be left w/ dry, flakey skin.

I got this in a sample and I liked how my skin felt after. I can't comment too much since I only used it twice and didn't pay for it, (though I know the price) but I think I like it better than Ahava clear mask which is way expensive.It's kind of similar to St. Ives Mineral Clay Firming Masque but more expensive. But Idk, this was nice. Radiant after. I don't know if any of these really can save skin, but they help improve the balance and give it some glow. That's nice.

My skin is a disaster. I am going on Accutane in a month. It is extremely oily yet also dry. Every single pore on my nose and chin is a blackhead. My cheeks are filled with cysts and scars. The general texture of my skin is rough and flaky.

I used this after steaming my face and left it on for 45 min. When I washed my face after, it was kind of reddish. The next morning, my face felt soft and even looked a little smoother. 3 days after using it, my face is still soft and not rough.

I wanted to like this, but I feel like it really did nothing for my skin. I bought it to help remove some of the congestion from my skin and I felt like all it did was make my skin really soft. Will not be purchasing again.

This is the best mask I've ever tried. This mask does wonders for my acne-prone, sensitive and combination/oily skin with very large pores. This is the mask I always run to, whenever my skin feels rebelish and wants to break out everywhere.
I can really feel my skin thanking me for putting on this mask the day after (I usually use it right before I go to bed).
This mask softens and soothes my skin, and my pores look less visible after using it.
It is an unusually awesome mask, and has done nothing but good for me. I love it! Have repurchased it, and will forever untill they discontinue it (which I hope they won't).
Simply the best mask ever
