I love the colours because the shades are beautiful and they are 4 colours that I use often however I find that it does not show up at ALL unless I put many layers on or I use a good primer over my whole lid. I don't find it very pigmented at all, on the contrary I find it almost like loose powder. But with a good primer, it works perfect for a smoky eye or with minimal black and silver to create a very pretty look.

Just today decided to try my tester Chanel-Murano eyeshadows on. Needless to say that I'm just crazy about this cute Muranos! All 4 of these eyeshadows (dark grey colour with a bit greenish undertone, then pale, delicate rose-beige, after that marvelous back teal and pale grey silver - they all have a shimmer) they are highly pigmented (on my eyes as you can see above I've used a dry method, and put them on an eye pencil base in black-teal colour), glide on and blend easily, really lovely colors (IMHO! ;-). It's rather (or even more than-) pricely product, but in the same time it's pretty good, and I'm just fond of this colour selection. Good staying power. No allergy. So, for now - highly recommended!

This is a perfect quad for a smokey eye look. I use it at night for a va-va-voom effect. I have brown eyes and the teal green colors do wonders to my face. It's pigmented and it's definitely a keeper.

I don't know why I waited so long to buy this. This is an amazing set of colors. I use it for a smokey eye look. The darkest color is a black with golden green shimmer. There is a pink shade, a medium to light gray and a white gray. I love the smokey eye look but sometimes 'matte black' is to much and dramatic. This set is unbelievable for the smokey look that has the same effect but most as hard. I can't say enough about how pretty the colors are. I think this would work for almost all cool toned gals and neutral enough to work for warmer tones as well. The individual colors alone are nice, making this a set you would reach for more so then others.

This is an awesome quad, the colors are just wonderful. There are 3 shades of teal, a light silver teal, a medium gray tone teal, deep teal and a champagne pink. I love the smokey eye look I can create with a pop of color. There is so much versatility to this quad without being OTT as said in a previous review. The pigmentation is great and the texture of the shadows is very smooth...not powdery at all. Highly recommended!

Oh my how I love this quad. I usually stick with neutrals these days, but murano is great for a colorful eye that isn't ridiculously loud or distracting. I am NW25 and cool/neutral olive. The deepest shade is the most beautiful shade of teal and using it wet brings out the microshimmer. There is no glitter in this quad and used together the shades create a lovely understated smoky eye that is different than the typical gray/black or brown. Great quality and pigmentation. I am able to use all four of the colors which is a must when a product costs as much as Chanel items.

Since I have cool skin tone and eye colour, I was sceptical about most green eye shadows. But Murano is different. It is (in my limited experience) made of unique shades of green, which suit my cool tone perfectly. The quality is great too. Since I recently paid a small fortune for the new Enigma quad, I believe I am developing a Chanel addiction.

I didn't love it. Colours were lovely but only when I watch them. If I applied it, my eyes were just like simple glitterballs. There were hardly any traces of the pink shade, light green was also just about glitters. The only useable colours were the medium and dark green, they really showed up as what I saw in the case. And the lasting power...pff, it's not worth to mention, even with primer! Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment.

I purchased this after the makeup artist/SA at Macy's put this on me. The colors are great. It has a grey that I would not have considered wearing on my own. The light blue-green color is good as an accent color along the end of the upper lid. It also has a darker metallic grey that can be used in the corners of the eye and along the lids as an liner. The highlight color is a soft pink, which is very pretty. The colors supposedly were inspired by the annual Carnivale in Venice. Very silvery and and soft. I would recommend this as one time purchase as you get enough that one might be tired of the colors by the time the quad is empty and it is very expensive. Great for blue or green eyes because the colors accent these shades.

I recently purchased this quadra yesterday and I must say...I'm already in love ♥ At first whenever I was viewing it online, it didn't catch my eye, only because I originally wanted something like the smoky eyes quadra. I was originally going to purchase the smoky eyes quadra too...until I checked it out and fell in love with Murano. I had asked my SA for help on deciding which one to get. She told me I should go for Murano because I can still do a smoky eyes look with that, and I was already loving the mint green and light pink. Sooo far, I was able to do a smoky eyes look and OMG...it's gorgeous! I love it sooo much. In the stock photos, it does show greens, but i don't think they're greens at all. Don't get me wrong, greens are nice, but what's in this quadra is a lot better :D I will def. purchase this again once I run out. I plan on using it a lot too.

having quite dark blue eyes, I have never thought of wearing greens but the SA tried this on me when I bought the blusher from the same collection - Fresque - a few weeks ago. I really liked these colours though, the pinky peach/teal combination is really pretty but very subtle. I never would have considered wearing eyeshadow to work, especially with sparkles but this looks really sophisticated. Love the really dark green for lining eyes and love the texture - very soft and blendable. Again, the only thing is the annoying stubby applicators but the SA gave me a free long handled blending blush in a plastic wrapper - obviously not a proper Chanel one but still, better than those spongy applicators which take up far too much product and make the colour too intense for me.

I dont usually do color reviews because its so subjective but I have to say I love this quad. With all the beauty events going on at the big stores I've ended up with Dior Jazzclub Smoky Jazz, YSL Ombres 5 Lumieres #8, and Chanel Ombres 4 Murano. Of the 3, I like the Chanel the best. I've worn it three times, and all three times I've gotten compliments. I'm in my 40's so when I get compliments on my face I know I've hit on something good. Years ago I bought some Chanel singles and didnt like them at all because they were super hard and you had to work and work to get any pigment. Not so with these. The coverage and blendability is incredible and they are very nice to work with. The light seafoam green is my favorite. Love love love this.

I wanted this since I have seen photos online, when it first came out. I admit that I am a marketing victim when it comes to names of the products, so I was expecting teal greens, just like the color of the water in Venice canals... However, I hesitated, because: a) I own 2 other Chanel quads, Vanites and Sparkling Satins, and I rarely reach for them, because I have to use them wet to get some color b) I was confused by the swatches and descriptions of Murano online, they seemed grey, blue-grey, green-grey, and I definitely wanted TEAL, actually I don't look good with grey eyeshadows. I tried Murano on my hand at the counter the other day and it was so chalky and, despite the lighting in the store -which makes almost every product seem nice- the colors looked and felt muddy, not to mention that the dark one was on the grey side. Nevertheless, I purchased it, I don't know why. When I got home, I tried the colors and I was impressed! They have nothing to do with that tester... they are AMAZING, quite pigmented and go on like satin. The dark one is green with teal sparkles. The medium one is a shimmery cool forest green - teal. The light green shade is a pistacchio shimmery green, and there is also a light cool lovely shimmery pink, which complements the other 3 shades very well and adds a "touch of glamour". Needless to say that they are indeed very beautiful, very autumnal, very "Venice" and VERY TEAL! I created a really unique smokey eye with this quad. I am in love! UPDATE: I wish I could give 10 lippies. Yesterday I used them wet for the first time. The pink color is simply awesome. The result was so beautiful, the colors showed up so intense, elegant, mysterious, unique, I just can't say enough!

This is my favorite of the quads. I absolutely adore it! The colors are awesome, and on my skin/eyes, they look iridescent blue/green. It goes great with my Chanel eyeliners as well. There are so many combinations that can come out of this quad that I think I could survive with it alone... (or maybe I'd miss my other shadows!)

My only complaint is that Chanel HAS to know by now that serious makeup fans use brushes for application, not those horrible swab things that make the colors way too intense. Why don't they give us miniature brushes? If Estee Lauder can do it (though they only give us 1), why not Chanel?

I have to say I buy MOST Chanel Quads and love most of the Chanel line. When I saw this I LOVED them. I am a big fan of both blues and greens and adore a dark smokey eye. Well after playing with it one time I just am not impressed. Don't get me wrong its really pretty- but not for its purpose.

Let me explain, I bought it because I loved the colors - I wont go into a description as others have already described them. On application the green just turns gray and muddy. Its just doesn't look like it does in the palette and that was truly the disappointing thing. So the positive is that I would use the deeper colors in a smokey eye. A positive is that they look gray on me without turning blue (as most silvers and grays have a tendency to do).

UPDATE: Played some more with this quad this weekend and am changing my rating of it from a 2 to a 4. A big jump right- Why the change? Ombre d'Eau - Chanel's liquid shadow as a base. I did one look with Rivage (the grey/silver) and one with Delta (gold) and it brought out more of the beautiful shimmer and colors that I was hoping for. I especially liked the addition of the gold base as well as highlighting around the deep sparkly teal. So needless to say I will keep it. I think its MUCH prettier with the right base.

If you are a fan of greens, you will love this. The greens have a more aqua tone, and it really lives up to it's inspiration of Venice. I see this quad as the more grown-up version of Garden Party, from Fall 2007. The rose is very sheer, and it is very easy to overdo it with the deepest green. I am a huge fan because it is nice to see a green that has an aqua cast as opposed to yellow or deep blue.

Where's the green? Received as a present today from a friend who knows I love cool greens. Quad is good for smoky eye. but no matter how I combined it, the shades are murky. Am I wearing muddy, dark gray-teal? darkened garbage green? Imo, the light shades are useless. Quality is fine for a Chanel quad, but color combo reminds me why I don't bother with Chanel e/s.

This is the new quad for Fall 2009. It has four gorgeous shades. First, the descriptions:
The darkest is a deep smoky green, with a bit of teal in it. Great for lining and smoky eyes
The mid shade is a gorgeous mid-tone greenish grey, slightly shimmery.
Next is a pink with a tiny hint of peach and this one has flat out sparkles. Watch for fallout.
The lightest is a pale minty shimmery green.
I am thrilled with this palette because Chanel rarely has Cool-toned quads. It has the usual long-lasting formula and great texture. Applicators are passable and packaging is classic.
