I actually love this compact. I normally use it over my liquid foundation as a setting powder but will also dust a light cover over naked skin on days where I want a really light and natural look. For most makeup, I ALWAYS toss the sponge/puff/applicator. For this compact I have actually written to Sephora and ask that they start selling the sponge that comes with it. It's dual sided, one side gives light coverage, the other side is a heavier coverage. And they really do just that. I normally always have two at a time (one i keep at home and one i keep in my purse). If it also did anything for shine control or had some sort of mattifying properties, this would be it for me.

Works well on my oily skin. Apply patting on with brush, applying it with sweeping strokes and it settles into creases too easily. Also goes crepey around delicate skin under and around eyes, not a good product for those with fine lines. Very decent coverage, even works as a fairly good concealer when applied with a smaller brush as a spot treatment after overall application is finished.

I used this before I tried on MAC compact powder. It was value for money retailing at about SGD27 I think. The coverage was pretty good if you have relatively clean face without blemishes and huge pores. I have some blemishes on my face so I cannot do without concealer when I'm using this. And, this does not last so long if you do not use primer. About a few hours and you probably have to touch up to retained your look. But this is perfect for days in which you are not attending any special functions or you have really good skin.
However, I hate the packaging. The foundation itself is on top and mirror is on the under size of the foundation where the sponge is at. So I don't use the mirror unless necessary and when I use it, I absolutely hated it. Can you imagine constantly flipping your case for the mirror every time you swipe to get the foundation -.-
Sometimes I like just dump foundation into my bag without bringing a makeup bag especially when you carry clutch. The powder kinda drops every where inside the compact and that just sucks when you open up and your mirror inside is dirtied by the powder residue.
Its only 9g if I'm not wrong. So it finishes quite fast for me too.
Therefore, only get this when you want to use it for a short period of time and if you have relatively clean face.

I'm so sad this has been discontinued. :-( I bought about four of them in Sephora’s clearance sale after they introduced the new version. I like powder foundations in general, but it's hard to find good ones, and even harder to find perfect ones, that wear for hours without touch-ups, don't dry out or irritate my skin, have a nice finish, and provide enough coverage but not so much they look cakey. I have several pressed powder foundations, most notably TBS All in One Face Base, Clinique Almost Powder Foundation, and Origins Silk Screen. This one is my favorite among them. It meets all the criteria: nice finish with a great balance between dewy and matte, long wearability, good color selection for the ghastly pale, great coverage, talc-free ingredients and suitability for my sensitive skin (though everyone is different in this area; as some have said it broke them out). FInally, the price isn't over the top. At about $18.00 US, it's less expensive than The Body Shop's All in One FB and not as expensive as Clinique's or Origins' versions.
Sadly, this has ridden off into the sunset. Sephora replaced it with a baked version, which I don’t like nearly as much. I stocked up on them at $5 each before they were gone, but having and using them just reminds me of how p.o’d I am that Sephora messed with one of my favorite all-time products.

I like this quite a lot! I purchased the Buildable Coverage package at Sephora, this came with it. (Only it isn't a double compact since it comes with the sponge anyway, product is the same though) If you use a seperate brush with it, my Revlon kabuki to be exact, it gives a nice, light coverage which I love. I'm R15, this is good when I have a bit of color in the summer but its a bit dark for my "regular" skin tone. I love the packaging, it snaps perfectly & there's a good amount of product. Kinda pricey alone but totally worth it, especially with the set. A total re-buy!

It gives a matte coverage which is buildable. Doesn't irritate my skin at all. I hate the packaging though cover broke after a few days and why is the mirror under the compact?? Will keep repurchising tho as the product itself is great for my very sensitive shiny skin. I have to reapply after a few hours but that's a small price to pay for zero irritation!

Terrible packaging. I have repurchased this a few times, and it breaks soon after purchasing, every time.
I am a MAC NC15-25 depending on the season and my sun exposure, and when I am my palest, the Lightest shade is a perfect match! It is *extremely* natural looking, and I can achieve a sheer to medium coverage with my E.L.F. Face Brush (don't use the included sponge!), though it is harder to achieve a heavier coverage when my skin is drier than usual; if you don't bother with moisturizing and priming to prepare your skin for makeup, this powder, like most if not all, will accentuate your issues and cause flakiness in dry skin. It is a plain matte finish; I can not attest to oil control as I have only used it with dry skin. It does not irritate or cause breakouts on my acne prone skin, though!

I found this recently at Spehora looking for a dual type of product. I wanted to be able to wear it alone on the weekends and also use it as a setting powder to keep my liquid foundation on longer during the weekdays. I was color matched to R20. It looks great. I use MUFE primer, REvlon colorstay and a light dusting of this to set. I only touch up with a blotting sheet once during the work day. My makeup literally 9 hours later looks fabulous. I really attribute my great looking skin to this powder. Before I found this I was using MUFE HD powder or Maybelline dream pressed and my face was shiny within a few hours of applying foundation and powder. I even recommended this to my Mom and Sister to try as well. I haven't broken out and the color range was wide.

This reminds me so much of Pur's pressed fdtn. Very heavy coverage and a nice color selection. The first time I wore it, it didn't play nice with my LRP s/s and got cakey and settled into every fine line I have. But with a more matte s/s it works nicely. I find a fluffier brush works better or you wind up with way too much product on. I have a lot of broken caps and need coverage and this covers all! No oxidation and did not make me any oilier than normal. HATE! packaging like this. So sick of that under the fdtn mirror that's impossible to use. Otherwise a good one to try if you like powder fdtn, especially given Sephora's excellent return policy.

I have very oily, acne prone skin. I need a touch up every 3 hours with only this powder on my face, with primer underneath. Skin looks really great, texture, everything. But at some places it becomes itchy...DOESN'T MAKE ME BREAK OUT , while l'oreal mineral made me break out like mad. I even slept few times with it on my face, nothing happened. Only thing is that my skin is very very oily, so this isn't perfect thing for me :(

I really like this foundation, on the fence of buying again. Definitly not my HG. Gets cakey on my t-zone a lot(besides chin). Reduces redness on face (what I use foundation for) but doesn't last very long. 2 hours at the most, even with Sephora primer! I would blame it on the primer but the fact that it is cakey just makes me not want to repurchase. But it is very light weight so that's a plus. Not sure if would repurchase again (even thought I said No) since the price is pretty pricey and makes my t-zone cakey sometimes.

It's not my favorite mineral powder foundation, but I do like it.
PROS
-Non-comedo=genic and free of parabens, talc, fragrances, allergens and oil. So for someone with sensitive skin, this powder's minimalistic ingredients would be ideal.
-Reasonably priced. No it's not drugstore cheap, but it's a reasonable price for a higher end foundation. Also, the pan is pretty deep so this product should last 6 months to a year with very regular use.
-Amazing color selection. I was actually going to go with bareMinerals powder foundation, but all of the shades were either too dark, too light, too orange, too pink, or made me look too ashy/gray. I use D35 and it's the best match that I've ever had in a foundation. It literally blends into my skin seamlessly for a flawless finish. Plus, my friend who is a dark skinned African-Canadian was even able to find her perfect match...And it's always incredibly hard for her to find a foundation that matches her complexion and looks natural.
-This is one of the few products that I've owned where the applicator it comes with isn't completely useless. This comes with a dual sided sponge (dark for heavier coverage, white for lighter coverage) and I find that using it tends to be the best way to apply this foundation. You can also use a kabuki though.
-Buildable coverage.
-Does not look dull, cakey or unnatural. Even when I apply extra for fuller coverage, it still looks natural and has a very air-brushed finish.
-Feels very light and does not break me out. I feel like my skin can breathe comfortably when I wear this foundation. And it has yet to break me out.
-Does not over-dry skin or accentuate dryness like many powders.
CONS
-No oil control. This foundation would be perfect if it was able to keep shine at bay on its own. I need to set this with translucent powder if I want to stay freshly matte all day. If I don't, this foundation doesn't seem to last all day and it kind of gets streaky and rubs off onto everything.
-Flimsy pakaging. The top has already come off several times on me just while sitting in my purse. It feels cheap and very breakbale in the hands. It also has several "layers" which many people don't like...But the mirror is a plus.
I do like this foundation but I would not buy again simply because I need a powder foundation with more oil-control (maybe I will try Sephora's matte compact next...?). This would be a nice powder foundation for someone with combo to dry skin, but not if you need any amount of oil control.

A cheaper alternative to BE foundation with a much wider shade selection. Unlike the BE foundation, which I found difficult to blend, this formula is very buildable, so I use it both as a spot concealer and as a foundation: To conceal, I dot it on with a large eyeshadow brush and blend out the edges. For foundation, I dust it on with a big fluffy powder brush. Right after applying, it looks a bit powdery but settles within 15 minutes. Although I only wear it on my chin and nose where I get acne and redness, it matches my skin so well that I can't see where my makeup ends.
Minus one lippy because it looks whitish when worn on my forehead, which is slightly tanner due to sun exposure. I'm D25 (medium), and I recommend going one shade darker if you're in between colors to avoid the white look.

I liked this powder foundation a LOT better than the Bare Escentuals mineral foundation. The color match was perfect and left my skin with a soft finish that was not too powdery. I paid probably $25 for a compact that lasted 6 months. Tried to apply it with a kabuki brush, but the little puff that comes in the compact actually gives the best application. I used the white side, and just washed it in the sink every couple of weeks. This is probably not my HG foundation, but a pretty solid one that didn't bother my skin.
Pros: Did not make me break out. Good color match. I was matched to Light 15, a fair color with rosy undertones. Nice finish. Did not settle into fine lines or pores.
Cons: Finish can start off powdery (for about the first 30 minutes). Not great oil control, needed to blot after about 4-5 hours. Looks terrible by the end of the day. Primer helped a little with staying power, but looked cakey by the end of the day.

I really like this foundation. It has a dual sided sponge...a white one for light coverage and a black on for full coverage. I mainly use the dark side because I need full coverage. I use D10 Warm Ivory which is the lightest shade. It's kind of funny though, since according to Sephora D10 is warm-toned & I'm cool to neutral. It has a matte finish, which I like, but I have to really work with it because it can look chalky if not applied and blended properly. All in all, it's a good powder foundation and the price isn't too bad at $22. I like to alternate between this and Benefit Hello Flawless (which is my HG). I will probably purchase this again.

I bought this in D25 and it matches my NC25 skintone perfectly. I have severely discolored skin with a lot of redness and acne scars, this is by far the only powder or foundation that can cover everything without looking thick! I didn't need to use any liquid foundation / concealer beneath it! So much so that I even skip my eye concealer! When I tried applying this with a kabuki brush, it sorta emphasized too much on my pores so I use a flocked sponge for application. The drawback about this powder for me is that I am unable to touch it up during midday. When I blot my face, and try to touch up with a brush or sponge, it became patchy. The other thing I don't like about this is the packaging, if they really have to design it with the flap, they should've placed the powder at the bottom and have the sponge on the top. Anyways, before I find anything else that has this kind of coverage, I will repurchase.

I brought this compact foundation in Sephora, Singapore while on holiday. I did not intentionally plan to buy but I thought about giving a shot since my current NYX compact foundation is a shade darker. I brought the D35 where in BB, I wear warm natural. The D35 matched my skin perfectly and for coverage, I would say medium and the finish is in between satin and matte. Surprisingly, it did not oxidize on me so much. I wear them for a full 12 hours and did not touch up. Oil control was good enough till about the 6th hour which I'm very happy about. This is now officially my HG compact foundation powder on the go and it will stay in my purse. I actually bring my Sigma retractable buffer brush with me too as I don't like using sponge. I would definitely recommend this mineral compact foundation. By the way, I have combination acne prone skin and I do have scarring on my cheeks.

I bought this today , and wore it for 4 hours, and this is my impression:
Pros: AMAZING COVERAGE
Neutral, not orange
It's actually pretty big, the lady at Sephora said it should last me a long time!
Cons: Non yet, maybe just a lil' dark for me, but can hardly notice, I need the lightest shade :P
I have a mild acne, it's getting better, most my pimples are really small, and when I put this on, my face looked FLAWLESS , like seriously, I am so happy I purchased this!
Since this is my first impression, I'm not exactly sure if this will break you out, but I will update this is it does. Otherwise...I think this is my Holy Grail ! ;)

I actually like this product. The coverage is great feels nice and light on my skin. It is my favorite foundation!
BUT what is up with the cheap-a$$ packaging? Every time I buy this product it breaks either the moment I open it or a few days later in my purse. I have never had any other compacts do this to me. Would it kill Sephora to spend an extra 12 cents to put their make up in a half-decent case?
I can't take this product anywhere because I have had FIVE break on me within hours of buying it. I wish there was less than a 1 for "packaging."
PLEASE SEPHORA, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! PLEASE!
