I do like the idea of having regular and waterproof mascara in one. It's not the best but I am pretty pleased with this inexpensive mascara. The small brush reminds me of Maybelline's Great Lash (the iconic pink and green tube). The waterproof formula holds my curl and didn't flake on me. I got next to no clumps and my lashes looked longer but still natural. I was surprised the regular formula lasted me through the day without giving me raccoon eyes. It's easy to wash off. Good for everyday wear or if you like layering with other mascara types.

Wow, talk about alot of bad reveiws! Im so suprised because I LOVE this product and I have tried popular drugstore mascara's AND high end mascara's.
BTW~i naturally have very long lashes that dont need curling. So I dont know how this would work on someone with short, lashes that need lots of curl n such.
PROS:
`Makes my lashes super dark and obvious:) They really look false!
`Gives me tons of volume and enhances my length
`Doesnt flake or wear off
`Looks aammaazzing:)
`Does EVERYTHING we want in a mascara (at least for me it did)
`The price! I got this at walgreens for 99 cents :D
CONS"
` im a little worried about how fast this is going to run out becuase the ends are so small, but if it does go fast i can just buy another to keep in my purse only for touch ups or travel bag ( =

~~~~i will update in a few days or week to tell you if i am still loving or not! But all i can say right now is BUY BUY BUY, this stuff is great!
I honestly didn't really like this mascara. I had really high hopes for this mascara especially because this was my first ever mascara and I heard a lot of people say it was good but for me, it wasn't really. Both sides really clumped on my lashes and after 5 minutes of wearing it, my lashes would become really dry and flaky. I also didn't notice that big of a difference between the 2 sides based on lenghtening and defining. Also, the packaging, (I don't know if this only happens to mine), whenever I close it, mascara tends to squirt out of the sides and it gets really annoying. I didn't find this mascara to be that volumizing. It is a very pigmented black colour and it lengthens a little, but the flakiness and clumpyness of this product wasn't good for me.
This mascara does not provide any length or volume, nor does it make your lashes look any different. Along with that, it kind of clumps. However, it is waterproof and lasts all day. I think that it's good for an everyday school look. But it doesn't really do much; you won't notice a difference.
I agree that it's not waterproof at all and left blobs under my eyes even after it set. I also agree the formulation is on the drier side. The only good things I found were:
- it was cheap (less than Cdn $5)
- didn't clump going on or flake throughout the day
- curled my lashes somewhat
I would have liked it way more if it didn't leave blobs under my eyes which is almost as bad as smudges. Won't buy again. :(
I ordered two of these, on in black and one in black brown. The waterproof was very dry when I first opened it, but the regular was semi-wet. I like wet mascaras, so I wasn't a big fan. After about a week both ends were completely dried out. I think it is a packaging fault because I made sure the caps were closed tight because they were so dry already. I was not expecting much, but these were still a disapointment. Also, the black brown color was a very light brown color. Usually it is much darker in other brands, so I'm wondering if I received a mislabled product. Also, the smell was bad.
I bought this a day before a water park trip at school, and I was horrified when I went into the bathroom and the mascara was completely off. NOT WATERPROOF AT ALL. And when you wash your face it comes off in flakes. But I use it despite this, because the brush is so small I can make my corner eyelashes flare out, just how I like it. So yes, I still use it despite it not being actually waterproof, but I will not repurchase.
I got this mascara at my local Target. I must say I am a HUGE E.L.F fan.. so I brought it thinking I would love it.... man was I wrong! My tube wasn't dried out at all, its just really thick. It goes on extremely heavy, and not to mention that the wand on my waterproof side broke as soon as I got it. I really wanted to give it a chance... and I did.. but I had to stop and buy a new mascara. Maybe I had a crappy one, but the quality was just awful! and I hate saying that because E.L.F usually has such awesome things.
I picked this up at my local Dollar Tree awhile back and I must say that I am pretty impressed by it. Ill give it a 4 out of 5 because I love my Maybelline Falsies mascara wayy better but if you want a nice and simple mascara and nothing dramatic, this is it. I paid $1 for it, it lasts all day and I would def buy again.
I just got this and figured I'd try it for $1. I can't even use it because it's so thick and dry, right out of the package. Save your money and get something better!
This mascara was so bad, when I had opened it up (note:got it in brown) I started laughing. Usually when you get something bad, you get upset about it but when I opened it up I kinda expected it... I mean what the hell was I thinkin getting a 1$ mascara? lol Not even worth the dollar though. It was clumpy like gunk and it was dry haha worst thing ever.
I recently discovered e.l.f. so I wanted to try the mascara. I've been using Maybelline mascara forever but I wanted to try something else. The e.l.f. mascara may be cheap but that doesn't make it worth buying again! It is very clumpy (it looks like I have tarantulas for eyelashes!) and doesn't lengthen at all. I love all of the other e.l.f. products but the mascara really misses the mark! The only way I could recommend this is if you are buying for a little girl to play makeup with. Other than that, it's a no-no for me!
I really dislike this mascara.
The mascara is dry (although that might be the fault of the packaging/how long it was in the warehouse before I purchased it) and it comes with very little product.
Both the regular and the waterproof sides apply the same (disappointingly) and the formulation can get so thick that the brush is difficult to take out and it end up coming out of the packaging that holds both sides together.
Overall, a disappointing product that I'm glad was only $1 and not a penny more!
I have read the other reviews on this and see that mostly everyone was extremely disappointed. I bought it only because it was $1, and figured that it could either be a loss or a gain. After trying it out, I was not completely satisfied, nor completely disappointed. it does come out clumpy on the wand, so you have to wipe off the excess before applying, and it doesn't lengthen my eyelashes at all, although it does make them appear thicker (maybe just because it's a little clumpy.) Overall though, it's not a horrible product but I probably wouldn't purchase it again.
This is an okay mascara. I bought it because it was just a dollar, and I thought the waterproof/non-waterproof duo was a good idea. It's not too clumpy, but not really lengthening or volumizing. I'll use it up on days just running around doing errands and whatnot, but I will not repurchase.
I'm actually impressed with this dirt cheap mascara. I bought it for travel and it's absolutely perfect for that purpose! The tube is small and slim and will fit anywhere. I love the fact that you get a regular and wp version in one tube. Not sure if the other reviewers got a bad batch but my formula was nice and wet. The actual performance of this mascara is okay. It gives good separation and length but little volume. After two layers, I was satisfied with the results and it didn't way down my curl. The mascara will last on a hot and humid day without smudging or fading. Also, I experienced no flaking with this. For travel, this is a great purchase! I think this mascara outperfoms some of the well known ones from L'Oreal, Revlon and Maybelline.
This product is really dirt cheap, it costs $1 at Target where I got it. I really liked how well it worked on my eyelashes but overtime the product got dry really fast. I had it for about a couple of months and the brush seemed to not glide as easily like the beginning. It dried super fast. Before I bought this mascara I bought the Covergirl lashblast volume which did not dry out as fast as this mascara and I am still using it. This product works really well but let me just say its not worth the buy if it will only last you a couple months where a more pricier mascara can last you several months.
This must be a joke. I have NEVER been subjected to a mascara that was completely dry right out of the package. That includes both ends. What kind of company would sell a product that you couldn't even use. I guess you get what you pay for. NEVER AGAIN will I buy this mascara. It went directly into the trash because I couldn't use it even one time!!!
This is the first Elf mascara I tried and I was very surprised & impressed on how it made my lashes look so much better, compare to using higher end mascaras. I also purchased their mineral mascara and was more impressed! In my opinion, Elf is very competitive when it comes to mascaras at a fraction of a cost. So far, I haven't purchased a dried out batch from them. I love how this mascara glides on smoothly and lengthens my lashes. Great product and I'm probably not going back to pricier drugstore mascaras.
