I purchased this gel at a small pharmacy, which usually carries products that have been d/c'd. I think this gel is the same as Tresemme's clean Hold Gel; it does go on clean, does not leave residue or buildup, nor is it sticky. It claims to be alcohol free and contains wheat protein and jojoba. I found it works really well when i mix it with a little serum. By far, a great gel, but sadly, hard to find:/ It defines my curly hair wonderfully, while providing shine w/out flaking or making my hair feel rough, dried out and stiff. I don't know why Tresemme d/c'd this great gel; I find it much more effective than the Bouncy Curls gel, that just made my hair feel rough! That said, i am glad I picked up the remaining tubes of gel!! **EDIT/UPDATE**: i am knocking off one lippie, thus, I will not repurchase. This gel made my hair so dry, but it held the style well;this gel did not make my hair as rough as the Bouncy Curls gel, but it still made my hair quite parched. I much prefer Biolage Defining Elixer gel--it is much softer on my hair, adds shine and holds well.**EDIT/UPDATE**: I am knocking off 3 lippies (I'd knock off more if I could) because this gel really made my hair so hard and rough!! I didn't realize it until now (I am using Biolage Defining elixer) and my hair feels sooo different, in that it is soft. I really don't think Tresseme's products work well for me; I find them to be of cheap quality. The gels hold my style well, however, my hair feels awful when I use these products.will definately not repurchase.
