I have never tried a Quo makeup brush before and I probably never will again after my experience with their Kabuki Brush.
There isn't really a lot more that I can add to the negative reviews...The brush stinks when you take it out of the package but the worst thing of all is that the brush absolutely sucks. It sheds like crazy! At first I thought it was because the brush was new, but after several uses and washes the brush is still shedding. It isn't very flattering when you're trying to blend your foundation and end up with a bunch of white hairs all over your face! I wish that I could return this for a refund but I misplaced my receipt.
Avoid this brush at all costs!! It isn't worth the 22 dollars (+tax at Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada) -- you can certainly find something cheaper and better. Honestly, the money you'd spend on the Quo Kabuki Brush is WAY too much for such shoddy merch; I wouldn't have even paid 10 dollars for it. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

When I first bought this brush I was hoping it would be really good quality considering I paid over a little 20$ for it, but I was not really impressed with this product. Yes it is very soft, doesn't scratch my skin personally but i found that it shed really bad and the first time I washed it, it smelled horrible. Also the bristles got ruined and doesn't look the same after doing so. Perhaps I over washed it but I would have rather spent less money on a regular foundation brush that seems to have work better.

I specifically bought this brush after my Posh Kabuki wore out, because it has white bristles. The Posh had black, and when it shed, it would look gross... a long black hair stuck to my face or on my shirt. If I miss finding a white hair from this one, no one would notice. Yes, it sheds a little, but only like 2 or 3 hairs per use, not a big deal at all. I also wash it every week or two, and it still feels as nice and soft as when I bought it. It`s not scratchy or itchy at all to use, the bristles feel velvety. And price is no issue, I always buy stuff at Shopper`s when it`s on sale, and now I`ve had this brush for 3 or 4 years now, so it`s earned its keep. I would buy this again if I didn`t find another brush that seemed tempting (I`m bad for wanting to try new things, even if what I have is fine and works well!)

This brush is not up to quo normal standard.I don't know if this is because it has white bristles instead of black bristles like all of my other quo brushes.
.It was super scratchy and smelled like formaldehyde it was so strong it gave my a head ache after every use. This brush gave me what I can only describe as razor bumps on my skin that lasted into the next day.
Neither the smell nor the scratchiness improved after 3 washes so it was returned to the store. You can get much cheaper and softer ones from ebay that blend better .

I don't see how there are so many bad reviews on this brush.. for me, this was my first 'face' brush. So maybe that is why I like it.
This brush is VERY soft! It's so soft, I love to brush my fingers overtop of it before I do my makeup, or even when I see it laying around. :) the brush itself is packed full of hairs.. should I call them? Lots of product collects in the brush very easily, so I don't have to constantly fill it back with powder.
I don't find this brush sheds at all. Mind you, I have not washed it. I know, I know.. "ewww! Why wouldn't you wash it first?" Well.. it was wrapped in plastic first off. Secondly, after I read reviews saying the brush sheds whilst washing. I don't want that. My mom paid $22 CAD for this brush, I can't ruin it or she will have my throat.
Anyways, maybe I just got lucky, and it won't wreck on me. *knock on wood*! I would recommend for how it works.. price.. not so much.

I generally have not liked Quo brushes in the past (I think they're terribly scratchy), but decided to give this one a try because it felt super soft and looked cute (yeah, I got sucked in again by the cute factor). I washed it before using it as I always do, and the first time I went to use it, it felt really scratchy and shed like crazy! I washed it again and same deal. It also takes forever to dry and reeks like wet dog when you wash it because it's real hair (goat I think). And the price! You could get a MAC eyebrush for the price of this kabuki. In my opinion I have found that the Quo brushes are cheaply made, scratchy, and expensive. I won't give them anymore chances - no more Quo brushes for me.

i bought this since shoppers usually puts quo on sale for 40% off. some how it reminded me of the brush my grandpa used to but his shaving cream on with. looks aside this brush cracked as soon as i washed it because its handle is wooden, with a thin coat of silver paint over top. that aside, it also sheds like crazy and isnt the softest in texture either. such a disappointment as i love most of quo's brushes.

I abolutely love this brush. I rarely use my Pur Minerals pressed foundation but when I do I always use this cute brush. I have a few other kabukis and I don't like their bristles or how it applies and makes the finish even and flawless. This brush by Quo has some of the softest bristles of any brush I have used.
It does tend to shed a tad the first few washes but all brushes do that. I highly reccomend this brush. It's a steal when SDM has them 40% off.

I bought this brush at Shopper's Drugmart Beauty Boutique because I find my Sephora kabuki brush has such a short handle it's not ergonomically friendly. The handle on this QUO kabuki was quite nice to hold but I returned it within one week because the bristles would not stop falling out. I was using it to gently apply some MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural powder out of the compact and the bristles would come out like a dog shedding hair. I then tried to wash the brush gently with Sephora brush cleaner and the problem did not go away. Do not, however, let this be a turn-off from purchasing other QUO brushes as they are quite good and quite moderately priced - I find little difference between some of my QUO brushes and MAC brushes to be honest.

I bought this brush since it was cheap and on sale. The quality is not bad but it feels quite brittle. The brush is soft and fluffy. I don't really like using it since I don't really like my mineral foundation. But this brush hasn't given me any other uses.

I think that some people who have negative reviews on this brush got a bad batch!
I have had this brush for well over a year now and it trumps many of my 'higher end' brushes in quality and performance.
It is dense, doesn't shed, and is incredibly soft! I'm very pleased with this brush in particular. Although I've had other Quo brushes which have just been ho-hum in quality and design, I truly believe this one is a knock-out.
Highly recommended. I take off one lippy because I'm not a huge fan of the design of the handle. A personal preference.

I love Quo brushes...........this one is SO soft and I love the flat top and handle...very comfortable. I find kabuki handles too short and they slip out of my hand easily. Taking off a lippie bc it does shed.....

If I could give this brush 0 lippies, I would. This Kabuki is the absolute worst. Sheds like crazy and feels awful on the skin. Even at 40% this is not worth buying. Save your money for ANYTHING else!

I ultimately ended up returning this because it shed more than my dog! Upon the first washing there were about five or six hairs that fell out. After it had dried, more hair began to fall out, showing visible areas where clumps of hair were missing. I brought it back to SDM for a full refund. I also tried some of their new professional series brushes, but those were just as bad.

I like this brush, it is great for applying powder. It is so dense, and applys the powder nicely, in a moderate amount. I have not noticed any bad smell like others have mentioned. The first couple times I used it it shed a little bit, and still does every now and then, but it is nothing too intense. I enjoy using it because of the handle as well, it is nicely shaped for your hand. The cost is originally $22 but I would say wait for the 40% off sales SDM has regularly. It comes with a cute little ziploc bag, good for on-the-go. The brushes are soft, but not nearly as soft as my ol' Ecotools kabuki.

This cost me $22 at Shoppers Drug Mart. First thing I noticed was that the packaging was kind of crappy. It comes in a little ziplock-type bag that had bent the bristles on the brush all out of shape.
I washed my brush before use with shampoo and conditioner, thoroughly rinsed and dried it, and wondered why I was getting a headache. It was from the smell of the brush - the smell of the bristles is like burning hair. I have plenty of other natural brushes and none of them smell this bad.
It also sheds, a lot. Yes, you can expect a small amount of shedding with all makeup brushes, but this is ridiculous. There are white hairs all over my bathroom, and stuck to my clothes.
The kabuki brush is an ok buffer for things like bronzer, but very very poor at applying powder and liquid foundation. I generally dab a bit of product on my hand and pick it up with the brush to apply it, however, this left more brush hairs on my face than makeup.
Returning this to the store. Not even close to worth the amount I paid for it.

I bought this brush from SDM on sale for $13CDN ($22 and 40% off). After some practice, I am able to buff on a nice even layer of mineral makeup without any shedding or discomfort from this brush. Is it the softest brush ever? No, but a little stiffness in the bristles is good for buffing. Not sure why previous reviewers say this brush smells; I have not detected any odor during use (but I have not washed it yet). Like all Qua brand brushes, the kabuki comes in a handy re-useable ziplock thick plastic bag for travel and storage.
[Edit]: After a couple days, I'm noticing some shedding: about 3-4 bristles per use. Maybe I'm not used to the short handle or the flat shaped brush but I find myself reaching for my Ecotools blush brush for mineral makeup application instead of this kabuki brush. Overall rating dropped down from 5 to 4.

I've had this brush for about a month now and I love it! It hasn't cracked, seems well made, no shedding and no bad smell. It's velvety soft and applies my powder perfectly. I got it for 40% off (as you always should with Quo). I think the quality is excellent, and I don't see how a more HE brand could do better.

I really do not understand all this negativity surrounding this brush. First off, i did not experience much shedding at all! There was a *little* when i washed the brush for the first time, but that's to be expected with any large dense brush. Second, the smell, I find that all natural hair brushes will have some sort of smell to them esp when they're wet! This one does, but not to the extreme that some reviewers are saying. The one I have does not smell THAT bad at all. Anyways, on to the review. I love how soft this brush is!! Feels very nice against my face. I bought this to use with my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural. Mainly to *set* my foundation. So far I like this brush and the price is reasonable $22CDN + 40% off :)
