I don't know if I got a weird bottle or what, but I love it! Everyone talks about a gunmetal grey with a silver shimmer. Mine looks like a gunmetal grey with a golden shimmer that turns into a very nice linear holographic in brighter light. Love that the holo is subtle enough to be office friendly, but still flashy in better lighting situations.

I ordered this a few days ago and I just got it today. The colour is perfect! Exactly what I thought it would be. Not disappointed at all.

It only takes one coat, has an average brush(though I wish it was as big as OPI's), if you ask me, is easy to apply and is not streaky at all. It's not all that dark, neither is it all that light. I'm originally quite fair skinned(slightly tanned now) so this colour looks awesome in contrast to my skin tone. A must-buy.

Awesome polish! It is a one coater and the holo shimmers are very subtle indoors but in the sunlight, FULL ON RAINBOW! The consistency was very good too. Not too thick nor thin. This is my first colorclub polish and I would be purchasing more from them in the future.

This is my first Color Club polish and I'm loving everything about it. Consistency of Revvvolution is great. It's not too runny and not too thick. It's pretty opaque in one coat, but I used two coats just to even out and fill in any spots on my nails I've missed. I used this polish with a base coat. I used a top coat for an extra shine as it dries a bit dull and I did notice that it took away from the halo-graphic effect. The brush is medium in size, good enough for fanning out on the nail, but not wide enough to cover it in its entirety. I love the handle on Color Club's polishes; it makes application a breeze. I also like the bottle; it feels very sturdy. This polish lasted me about four days before it chipped.

In low lighting, this is a black base polish with silver shimmer. But in the sunlight, the halos come out so vividly, it makes me giddy! I can't stop staring at my nails. You can see gold, hints of red, a touch of purple, subdued greens, and subtle blues all resting over a black polish. I tried taking a picture of this, but photos just do not do justice to this shade. My camera is being greedy for its true halo doesn't show well enough to drool, so I suggest you run out and get Revvvolution to see it in person!

If you're looking for an alternative for a black polish, this is it! It's a must have especially if you've missed out on any of the China Glaze's Kaleidoscope or OMG collection. I'm absolutely loving Color Club and I can't wait to add more to expand my collection!

Gunmetal grey base with a holo effect, except the holo is much more subtle than most of the holos out there. LOVE IT! I swear this was made just for me! I wore it for a week straight and that is very rare.

It goes on perfect, I had just about full coverage in one coat but I used two to top things off. And the brush was easy to use, my first introduction to the "Color Club" line and I'll definitely be back!

I usually don't wear black nail polish since it's too harsh-looking, but this is nice since it has that holographic effect and looks super pretty for night's out. It reminds me of OPI's My Private Jet, but slightly darker, so if your looking for a close dupe, this might be it. It's not full-on black, more like a dark charcoal with medium grain shimmer. I used two coats to get it fully opaque with a top-coat because I find it chips easily.

Color Club Revvvolution is a glossy gunmetal with a fine holographic shimmer. Indoors (in dim lighting) the color appears as a gunmetal-black with fine silver shimmer. The holo is definitely noticeable, but it's when your nails hit the sunlight, the rainbow holo shines in all it's glory. Many compare this polish to OPI My Private Jet (the original version).. I don't own the original, but I own the current formulation of My Private Jet and what's obvious about Revvvoluion in comparison to MPJ is it has a true holo effect, while MPJ falls short. MPJ has less shimmer, and has a combination of micro-fine glitter and chunkier glitter. Revvvolution has purely micro-fine glitter. Revvvolution also appears a bit lighter in color - more pewter, whereas MPJ appears more black. Also, MPJ has that funky reddish purple pearl to it in the sunlight. Both are great polishes - I can't really favor one over the other. Also, the formula is great. It's a little thick though, but dries fairly quick and is opaque with one coat. I Purchased my bottle from ebay for around $6. (I posted image 5 & 6 above. Image 6 is the bottle compared to OPI's MPJ)

Holy Moly! Why have has this been untouched in my nail polish stash for a while now? Oh that's right because I've been let down by OPI's MPJ, first I bought the non-holo version and realized there were more than 2 different versions! Then convinced I needed to get the original, I desperately went to Ebay and bought what I thought was the original..turns out the seller used other pictures from blogs to sell her so called "ORIGINAL MPJ". >:-[ grrrr
******* then I went on makeupalley and other blog sites stating that Color Clubs Revvolution is the closest dupe to MPJ. I went on a lovely trusted etailer and ordered one.
******* Indoors its this charcoal jet black color. But when you step outside, there is this oil spill of rainbow linear holographic awesomeness that shines right through! I've been getting a lot of sunshine lately and decided to wear this to test it out. And it turns out to be successful! I couldn't stop staring at my nails! If you wanted MPJ, forget Ebay or Amazon, just get this nail polish!

I was a bit disappointed in this, because I was expecting it to be more black, It is actually a gunmetal color with holo (at least, MY bottle was gunmetal, I think others may be darker).
The formula was good, and I made it more holo by layering China Glaze Fairy Dust on top. Overall it is pretty, but do NOT expect black holo. It is gunmetal holo.

This is what OPI MPJ is aspiring to be, but failed to do so.

It has far more moticeable holo than the new MPJ, but less than the original MPJ. IT is a dark charcoal gray that flatters many skintones, whereas MPJ is mostly brown more sutied for yellow and darker skintones.

I took off two lippies becase it chips ever so quickly, in fact in less than a day. The salon used Seche Vite base and top coat at the time.

I also tried Revvvolution with OPI's three free start to finish as base and top coat. The mani lasted barely over three days. I also tried it with Essie base coat and Good to Go top coat; it lasted less than 3 days.

Despite this downside, I love the colour so much that I decided to give it another go. I went to another salon, and they used Orly Bonder. Instead of the usual topcoat, my manicurist and I decided to play around with Magnifique even though it is not a French mani. It took forever to dry, but when it did, it stayed on for 4 days with no chipping, and it remained extra shiny too. The extra shine emphasized the holo effect. For this reason, I put back another lippie. I then tried it, out of sheer curiosity about base and top coats, with Orly Bonder and INM Out the Door top coat. This time, it dried quickly and lasted almost 5 days. So I add another half lippie, but makeupalley does not have a half star rating. Just so you know, my rating is really a 4.5 for this one.

It is an amazing polish shade.

I love this polish! Only needs two coats, wears well and applies nicely. More holo effect without the topcoat, but I always use a top coat. Gorgeous color. Love.

I bought this after seeing some pretty pics, where it looked like a true black holo and therefore nicer than OPI my private jet. My Private Jet is pretty, but I didnt really like the way it appears kinda brownish rather than black/gunmetal the way this one does. However, Im still a bit disappointed by this one. Color Club polishes are awesome in formula, this one only takes 1 coat to apply but the holo isnt really as noticeable as I'd hoped. In the bottle its slightly more apparent but on the nails it really only shows up in direct sunlight and even then its not super bright. (It shows up nicer in pics than it does in real life) Its nice overall, I think its still a bit nicer than MPJ just because the combo of the rainbow holo and actual black is much nicer than the brownish base but I would love to still find a black holo thats actually very holo and noticeable.

I wanted to love this, I was so excited after finally finding this (and on sale for half price!) after looking for it for months, as I'd heard it was a more impressive version of OPI's My Private Jet (whose base tends to be too purple/brown). Unfortunately I didn't find this to be the case, and actually prefer OPI (when layered over a coat of black nail polish, to give it a black base), which has much more noticeable holo glitter - I find this effect to be much more subtle. It is a great polish - great coverage and quick drying time, like all other Color Club polishes I've used, but as it doesn't give the effect I was after, I would not repurchase.

This is a gorgeous colour and a great formula. It went on like a dream and the prismatic effect is breathtaking. Lots of rainbow microglitter in this holo. Drying time seemed superfast as well. I can't stop staring at my nails- from far away it looks like a dark grey, but the second any light hits it there's a very noticeable rainbow reflection from the holo glitter. Soooo pretty! If you can't find OPI My Private Jet in the holo finish, get this instead!

I really was hoping for a more noticeable holographic finish, but fortunately I love charcoal nail polishes, so this really wasn't too much of a problem for me. And besides, when you get in the sun or under light, it is VERY noticeable and then I'm satisfied. Sometimes I will add ChG Fairy Dust over it if I need more pop, but for the most part this is a great color as is. <3

i loooove this color. i've always been a fan of black polishes since my early high school days and i love, love, love glitter.. especially halo glitter so this is one of my favorite polishes. i wish it could be a little more halo than it is but seeing as how most halo nail polishes are light colors, i'm assuming dark halos aren't very easy to make so i can't really complain. very very pretty polish!

I really like this polish, I'm sort of addicted to gun metal grays though. I think they look sexy on nails and this one was no different. It also has that nice glitterly holo glow which is lovely. It applied wall and wore great. Color Clubs are very cheap but amazing, they have lots of unique colors. As far as this polish VS OPI MPJ...I have both and like them both. I dont feel they are dupe-y for other another, they just share a few similar qualities but are not exact dupes of eachother. Anyway, highly recommended!

I hate to ruin the perfect rating of this polish, but I really didn't love it. First of all, the pictures of this is absolutely amazing. So, I had to track this shade down and have it for myself. It took about 3 coats for it to be fully opaque, but that isn't a problem, because I always do 3 thin coats for all my polishes, followed by a top coat. I liked the fact that it wasn't black, it was a gunmetal/ charcoal grey. Indoors, it was just that, a shiny grey with silver specks of microfine glitter/ shimmer. I was expecting to be blown away outdoors, in the sunlight. But, no, it was a very subtle holo. When the light caught it just right, I did see a nice rainbow holo effect, but once again, very subtle. I would still use this every now and again, because the color is pretty, but the holo-ness just wasn't enough for me
