Love this! I'm a freak about wearing foundation, I'm scared of face makeup and stick to a powder and bronzer only. I purchased this because I wanted a foundation for special occasions and going out. this is awesome! I apply with a kabuki brush all over my face, the coverage is amazing but it wears very natural and I get many compliments on my skin when I wear it, no one can even tell I have foundation on, it really evens my skin tone and makes me feel beautiful without feeling like I look like I'm trying too hard or caked with makeup, the colors are also very natural and not yellow, orange or pink, they are just right. Not greasy it doesn't even make my oily skin shine and almost everything does... Do yourself a favor! also perfect for the cool beaches in CA--FL, where I live is too hot for makeup at the beach. Good luck!

I also have mixed feelings about this product. I feel it is ultra sheer and does not stay on for a long time yet its not a bad foundation. It doesnt break me out or make me look cakey its just not as good as other high end foundations i ve tried.

Hmmm.. I have mixed emotions about this product. For the most part though, I DO Love it.
As an African American woman of darker skin complexion, it is extremely hard to find foundations that match our skin without a reddish tint to them after a while. The COLOR options for this foundation is absolutely perfect, I am between a NW45 and NW46 and the woman at the counter tried to match me with AMBER but I did some comparing and PECAN ended up being absolutely perfect for me. I have never had a foundation match my complexion to the "t" as this one does.
I have oily skin and she said this was good for me as long as I am not "super oily". My intent going in was to get the Stay Matte (my best friend uses it and loves it) but she introduced me to this. Being an oily girl, I hate anything that makes me look even a LITTLE oily.. I'm not into the "dewy" looks and this foundation will definitely give you that.
I use it with a MAC primer and set with Stay Matte sheer pressed powder in "Stay Brandy" (another perfect skin tone match)... but it stills give that dewy look, even after setting.
All in all, I will definitely continue to buy this product but find ways, techniques and powders that will keep me from being so dewy. Although it isn't a "greasy" look by a long shot, it's just a bit annoying for oily girls who are trying to avoid ANYTHING with that look. I want to call this my holy grail simply for the color alone, but I will definitely not be at that point until I find a way to mattify it a little more.
Photographs: WOW!!!!!!!!! This foundation photographs so well that it is unbelievable. I went to a friend's birthday and I am usually afraid to take so many pictures because the makeup I usually use (MAC) does not photograph well to me. Needless to say, after I saw the first picture I was jumping in everyone's shot! I will definitely not wear any other foundation when I am going out and will be photographed.

Well, what can I say? After god knows how many years of searching for the perfect foundation I feel I can safely say I've found it. The one.
It gives just enough coverage to make you look dewy and healthy without overdoing it, at all.
I do wear it with a primer and a powder and sure, it doesn't stay perfect all day but I'm working on finding new primers and powders to help with this, because I do really love the way this looks when I first apply it.
In all honesty, I'm pretty pasty skinned - all pale and dull and pretty uneven and I'm not a fan of the heavily made up look (somewhat surprisingly, seeing as I'm from South Wales!!) and this ticks a lot of boxes for me. I look fresh, even toned and healthy and it still has enough of that 'make-uppy' look to keep my inner welsh chick happy. However, it's subtle enough that even my nan likes it!
It's not cheap but it's definitely not extortionate either and I find that a bottle, small though it is can last 5 months comfortably,

I love it because it gives you a natural finish, a little shiny, but its like a good glow, if you use a powder its ok, I use it with a powder because I have like combination skin. It lasts like 7 hours I think... I've been using this one like from one year ago and it helps for little darkspots, it's not a miracle product, but you pay for what you get. I guess if you're looking for a natural look with SPF and a little sexy glow, this one is for you. I have a few pimples before I bought this one, but this makeup doesn't produce me acne.

I have very oily skin, and find this quite matte. It can emphasize any dry skin. I mix it with a bit of primer and look airbrushed. Wonderful!

For some reason all Clinique products smell after I have them on my face for 2 or 3 hours. This foundation made my pores fill with oil and broke down like nothing I have ever seen before. Udder Crap. Only looks good for a max of 3 hours not worth the money. I plan to return this along with the bb cream. So bummed really wanted a great foundation so the search continues.

I've been using this products for years. I have young, fair skin and this foundation is perfect for it. It's kind to the skin - prevents me from breaking out. It gives me the right amount of coverage (it's sheer to medium coverage but you can layer it up to build coverage). The title 'even better' is so true! Over the time i've been using it, it really has evened out my skin - little scars and blemish marks have minimised! However, if i dont powder, my oily zone can become shiny throughout the day, and it can't last as well as other foundations i've used. Overall, this is a great product and i recommend it to anyone who has dry or normal skin as it leaves a great glow to the skin.

First impression.
I love it. I have normal/combi skin and i never use moisturizer. So i just put toner and then straight to this. I sheer this out by using stippling brush since i dont need full coverage.
What i love is that theres no scent at all, no shine after, stays pretty long without making my face oily or dry, it just stays smooth. This is buildable up to med coverage. So if ure a sheer/med cover kinda girl, this is definitely for you to try :)
UPDATE 22ND MAY 2013
dry skin girls DO NOT get this, im a normal/combo slightly dry on my right cheek (whch is extremely annoying), and it showed the dry patches on my dried up post acne.
if you are dry and love this coverage, make sure you moisturize your skin. but i wouldnt recommend you this if youre dry. although if you are normal/oily, you would love this :)
it is sheer/kinda medium, dries up VERY quickly and it doesnt feel like youre wearing anythng on your face :)

I got this in a tax free shop, so it was stupid cheap. I haven't had the best of luck with Clinique in the past, but for €20 I'll give anything a go.
Anyway, I tried it and am sorry to say I found it just as boring as I do most Clinique products. It made me a bit shiny, covered everything (I do not want everything covered, I have this one amazing freckle that I show off), and was just a bit blah.
The packaging is great though, I wish my favourite foundation (a clarins one that I have reviewed here) would come in a tube like this.
Photographs well, doesn't look too heavy, won't make you look bright white in flash photography.
I feel like if you actually need all the coverage this provides, you probably have a few spots, or even acne, and the greasiness of this foundation will wreck your skin forever. Having dry skin, there is obviously no way I can state that as a fact, it's just a thought.

I've just started using this stuff as I've moved back to liquid foundations, I've switched from Rimmel's wake me up(drugstore brand) as wake me up is a touch too dark and doesn't last all day and I prefer high end make-up anyway.
To start, they have brought out some lighter shades of this now, which is good, I'm an exact match to shade 02 which I think is called fair. I'm now a redhead (previous reviews I was blonde) which is my natural colour, so I have the skin to match, if you can imagine just how pale that is!
I find this stuff feels really nice, the bottle is a squeezy bottle too, so hopefully there won't be much wasteage. You only need a tiny bit as it goes very far, it's quite thick too so I find that applying it with my fingers rather than a brush has a smoother effect.
I've been using this about a week now and have found that it doesn't last all day, it also seems to be clinging to/making worse, the dry patches around my nose and eyes, which is annoying. I don't know whether my application technique is affecting this or not?
I've found this only provides medium coverage as well although it seems to be a little bit buildable (if you have time to wait between applications for it to set). I find it certainly detracts from my (mild) redness, it does cover it well when it first goes on but that effect doesn't seem to last, however when it does slide off it doesn't seem to completely slide off and so does leave me with a little coverage throughout the day.
As a result of the drying and the coverage I have started mixing it with my moisturiser which seems to help a little. I have today tried setting it with Urban Decays setting spray as well so I'll see how that goes.
For reference I do use this after City block, Clinique's pore minimiser and redness reducing cleanser.
As for price, this isn't too bad, you get a small bottle for £23 which isn't as expensive as some foundations I've used in the past, nor indeed as much as some other clinique products (I'm looking at you redness reducing moisturiser!) and as stated you only need the tiniest amount.
I'm on the fence as to whether I'll purchase again, it's looking unlikely as I'm a little disappointed with the coverage and staying power, it definitely doesn't do anything like what the egg in the advert suggests. I want to like this product so I will keep trying out different application methods and other bases/setters to see what happens...Though I'm very impressed with the new shades and have never found such a good match to my "ginger skin" in any liquid foundation.

I´m surprised I liked this foundation so much. I had a sample in "05 neutral (MF)" and applied it with a brush. It gave my skin a nice, eventoned look, hid blemishes and redness very well so I needed less concealer - and it was even quite longwearing! In the evening, my skin still looked absolutely fine with it on. Might even think about buying the full size.

This foundation has a beautiful look to it. It glides an blends in easily but having combo skin, it tended to breakdown after a few hours and by the end of the day it looked like I had no foundation on at all. Don't get me wrong, it is a lovely foundation but would have more staying power on more drier skin I would say.

This foundation hides acne scars well, I found it hard to blend at first, it's quite a thick foundation and evens out skin tone and corrects any blemishes. For these things I found it an excellent foundation, the only bad thing I can say about it is that it's quite thick and takes a while to blend but overall a really good foundation for people with acne scars, uneven skin tone and blemishes.

Hides acne scars very well, does not dry out the skin but also does not leave the skin oily. Colour matches my skin perfectly and gives it a slight glow without making it oily. I would definitely repurchase this foundation but a little does seem to go a long way so it'll be a while before I'll need to repurchase. 5/5 overall for the product as I can see no real problems with it, but wish it was cheaper and wish there was more of the product.

I'm about an NC30/35/37. The girl had trouble matching me to any colours, the lighter shades were all pink undertones. so in the end she matched me to Cashew. CASHEW. that's about an NC45. How is finding the ignt shade for high end foundation still an issue in this day and age. I am disappointed because I use the even better serum and really wanted to encorporate the foundation in my routine. Back to MAC i go.

I adore the finish of this foundation; it's satin-like and even slightly dewy, and it makes my skin look so healthy. It's medium coverage, but it's easily buildable. The only problem I have with this foundation is that even in the lightest shade, its still too dark for my extremely light skin. I can get away with it with lots of blending, and I do find that after a little while of being on my face the colour appears less orangey, but still! I wish they made this foundation in shades that can work for girls like me.
