I wouldn't usually spend this much on lipstick, as I'm not a huge lipstick wearer and I don't want to spend more than about £5 on a make up product I may or may not use.
However I had a gift voucher for Boots from Christmas and I thought I'd try it out and I would definitely repurchase this lipstick.
Its a perfect matte red colour and is has great staying power.

Really Red is another favorite red of mine. It's a blue-red that goes on matte beautifully. Lasts a few hours on me. The color is not bright at all, but a slightly darker red. I can wear this year round. I'm very pale and this looks good with minimal makeup, altho I can wear it with a full face. It does go on smoothly and stay that way. Really Red is a staple in my bag, along with my other reds. The color also stays the color I first put on, which makes me happy. I also own Fire & Ice from Revlon, these are the only two I do own from that company, and as far as reds go, these two reds are great if you want to get one with coral tones and one with blue tones. There are a lot of reds out there and it can be very confusing when you first start out. My tip on choosing reds is if you buy first, make sure it's returnable. Many reds look different from the package and when you get home, the look on you is not what you thought it would be. If you're buying from a department store, make sure that you can return it. The red may change on you after a few hours. You're investing a few bucks into that lipstick and want to be sure that it's the perfect red for you. With so many out there today, just keep trying, you'll find one that is great for your skin tone.

I'm a big mob movie fan, and it was right in the middle of "Mob Week" (which AMC runs once a year) that I decided that the one and only thing I needed in this world was a lipstick as red as those mob wives. It's killer.
This one fits the bill and satisfies my inner weirdo just about perfectly. Revlon ain't foolin' around with the name either, it's really red. A bright, beautiful true red that I feel would look stunning on just about any skintone.
Like most Revlon lipsticks, the wear is phenomenal. I can wear this all day through meals without needing to touch up at all. And when it finally does wear away, it does so evenly, no patchiness.
Alas, like all matte lipsticks, it dries me out like a mob boss if I'm not careful. I exfoliate first then usually add some Carmex on top. Gives a lovely glossy look.
Perhaps my only other complaint would be that I wish it were more socially acceptable to rock a bold red lip all year round. As it is, I'll just have to wait until autumn. Good on ya Revlon, this shade will be much loved by me as soon as summer is over.

I love this lipstick!!!! I gotta say Revlon really makes some ofthe best lipsticks out there!!!! Really Red is just a great classic red that reminds me of the glamourous movie stars of the golden era of Hollywood.....If you are looking for a beautiful true red for that classic look you don't need to look any further......this lipstick delivers!!!!
Often times I find that matte lipsticks can be really drying on my lips but not with this one....it glides on smooth and my lips look and feel soft while I'm wearing it!!! The color lasts and I always get compliments when I wear it! This is definitely a shade I would buy again and like I said before in general I'm never disappointed with Revlon lipsticks....

Just lovely. I was wanting to try MAC's ruby woo but a colleague at work had this on and i thought it was tin woo nut told me its Revlon. After debating quite long and hard on deciding between the two. I am glad i chose this one. Its like the best most classic red and not as drying as a matte lipstick i have from MAC. Applies soft and smooth with no tugging on the lips. I feel to go and buy two more just incase it gets discontinued or something lol. Think i will. So yea go grab yours ladies

This is probably the best red lipstick I have used. I have quite dry lips normally but I don't find that this particularly dries them out, I do apply a little chap stick underneath with all lipsticks, though. The colour is quite a dark, ruby red, it looks a lot more expensive than it is (One of the things I love most about this lipstick is the price!)
The packaging is standard, black with a clear window at the top through which you can see the lipstick, which I find very helpful when trying to find it (not having to open the lid to check or look at the bottom for the name).
I often wear this on nights out and probably reapply just once, although I'm not sure I even need to. This product has great staying power.
Overall, very good, I don't think I will fork out more for a red lipstick anytime soon when I can buy this for less than £10.

I LOVE this product!
Revlon has the best drugstore lipsticks that I have tried in general!
There matte lipsticks are also the best.
I have a couple of MAC matte lipsticks and I feel like they are very drying and are prone to feather away.
The Mac ones don't last long, probably only about 1 to 2 hours.
The revlon ones are only 5 bucks and are very moisturizing.
These are very pigmented, yet, don't feather as much as the mac ones.
I would say that these are NOT kiss proof, as it can stain somethings it hits.
But overall, I think that this is an AWESOME Lipstick lik=ne and I will definitely be repurchasing more and more :)

Beautifully flattering red lipstick!! The perfect shade of red for light skin tone. It doesn't flake and it stays a true red color while it's wearing off. I had to reapply in the center of my lips after eating, but it will last several hours if you don't eat. The matte formula is slightly drying so I make sure to apply chap stick and let it dry before applying the lipstick. I've definitely recommend this! Even better, I got it for under $5.

I own a lot of Revlon lipsticks, but I have to say, this is one of the best formulas they've ever put out. It's a beautiful matte texture but never drying or flaky or simply nasty to look at. It's a true bombshell lipstick--the color is a vibrant, true red that screams LOOK AT ME! in the best possible way. Every time someone I know sees me in this, they do a double take and either tell me to tone it down or tell me it looks lovely. It's the kind of lipstick you wear for yourself, to perk up a bad day or simply make life less dull.
For reference, I'm an NC25 and it goes great with my skintone. I don't need lipliner with this, and it fades evenly after a few hours. I don't get any patchiness or chola lip ring effect, either.
The only reason I wouldn't repurchase is that I could never be faithful to one red lipstick. I have a ton, but this is definitely up there among my favorites.

I love this lipstick! It is SOOO red and so perfect. I love it for day and night, the matte really makes it wearable during the day but fierce at night, with the right eye make up. During the day, I'll often add just regular chapstick (Burt's Bee's) over the top so as it slowly fades into a more wearable look, its always blended and looks great without coming off slowly in the center and looking like a hot mess. I got it at Wal-Mart for less than $6, not on sale. It goes on easy and doesn't dry your lips out at all. I also wear it in the evening and am really surprised at how well it wears. It's been my go to red for the last few months; love wearing it!

Really nice matte lipstick. Doesn't dry me out, easy to apply with its consistency and is great for an evening look. The tube also looks durable and elegant.
The only problem I have with it is the price (RRP AUD$22) :(

Really love this lipstick! I love the retro red lip look but always had trouble finding a colour that wouldn't transfer everywhere and that I wouldn't end up really self consciously checking to make sure it still looked alright. This lipstick completely stayed in place and barely transfers at all. Gorgeous flattering true red colour that would be pretty universally flattering. My lips are super dry so I do find it mildly drying, but really not bad at all for being matte.

Favourite drugstore red EVER! Looking for a matte retro lip, the one that would rival what Marilyn and other classic bombshells wore? Look no further, Revlon Really Red is wonderful and it's cheap. Doesn't dry out the lips, applies pretty easily, vibrant pinup red that cheers you up in now time in a very sleek packaging. It's a color that may appear blue but then it's a true red. In fact, it's a universal color so from lightest to darkest skin, this looks incredible and striking!

A flattering shade of red on my Asian yellow toned NC25-30 skin. People seem always compliment on how gorgeous it looks and how the color really suits me. I always carry this in my purse with me for whenever I need to quickly glam up. Just a coat of it on my lips instantly makes me look more polished. It goes with both casual and formal outfits and it works for daytime and evening looks as well. It isn't as drying on lips as MAC's lipsticks and the lasting power is good.

I love this. I was looking for a deep red, since I have a few pinky reds and orange/coral reds. I was able to look inside the tube and see the actual color since the top of the cap is clear (brilliant!). It's perfectly matte, but not dry.

Read the reviews for this and it sounded like a red lippie I didn't have and wanted to add to my collection -- retro, matte without being dry, and leaning just a touch on the warm side of red without being too tomato-red / red-orange or too bright. Really Red is just the ticket. Thank you, Makeupalley Ladies, for turning me on to this little gem. I am definitely cool-complected -- ash brown hair, dark brown eyes, and very fair skin with lots of visible pink in it. Already have a number of true-red and cool-red lipsticks and glosses. The real-deal retro reds of yesteryear were indeed a tomato red-orange. Not a good look for me at all. Really Red is just warm enough for that true retro look, yet still close enough to being a neutral red so that literally everyone can successfully wear it. A couple reviews said this is a dupe for MAC's Ruby Woo, which I own. No way, no how. Not even close. Ruby Woo is a very cool-toned pink-based red and is bright. As for Revlon's Really Red, this is a lippie I plan to always have in my collection. It's a keeper. Thanks again, Ladies.

This purchase was purely bc of makeupalley reviews. It did not disappoint.
I have roughly 10 red lipsticks and yet i rarely wear em (ha). I think i like the idea of them or the 'perfect red lip'. This is def the closest i have gotten to it. Its a matte formula and if applied lightly can be worn as an everyday color. Great red color.
