I bought this and fell in love- I had so many compliments! I have noticed it is flattering on different eye/skin colors. My sister loved this color so much on me- I got one for her and she loved how it looked! (i have blue/green eyes, she has brown). It changes according to the wearer which I love! I am also a huge fan of eyeshadows that you can layer to build intensity! I would definitely recommend this eyeshadow color!

I was looking for a more neutral color to wear as a base, as I wear other glimmers as an accent in the crease. I had bought a kit with a color called "Shimmer" that I absolutely loved but knew when that ran out, I would lose my neutral shimmer... so I started on the hunt for a replacement. I picked this one up at my local Bare Minerals store, after looking through the samples. This color was actually suggested and I am glad it was... love it! I may start going with this color as my base, and continuing to use 'devotion' as my accent color - looks great.

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous - a sparkly taupe colour that blends well with other colours such as coffee bean/ tiger's eye and many others. No irritation and I am a contact lense wearer. Beautiful.

Absolutely in love with this eye shadow. I have zillions of shadows, but this is my personal favorite. I get compliments on my makeup each time I wear this!

Pretty much the prettiest eye shadow I have ever used! Stays on all day and I always get compliments when I wear it. I love the glitter! Will buy again and again!

I have the fairest skin ever, freckles, blue eyes, and this is sooooo pretty!!!
I like to use it wet on my eyelid and dry as shimmer.
If used wet it lasts all day while giving you a foiled look.

The color is a mix of taupe and sand with lots of glimmer.

Goes well together with Queen Philly, Moss and Queen Tiffany.

I adore this shadow. Truly, it is such a lovely thing.

I got this with a set, and didn't think too much about it, especially since I figured it would be a huge pain to use.

Then I tried it - a shimmery, icy taupe - perfect for the whole lid or just highlighting the brow - goes on like a dream and stays put (however, I always use primer, under all shadows). Looks like I may never run out, given the fact that I hardly use anything when applying this. This also works when applied with a wet brush - it's pretty major bling.

I especially love this as a brow highlighter, with Long Island Iced Tea (from the Candy Cocktails set) on the whole lid and Kir Royale (also from the Candy Cocktails set) as a soft liner.

A really nice eyeshadow. Lots of shimmer yet it can be worn in a soft look. Celestine is like an icy taupe. applied dry gives a softer nautral shine look. worn wet gives a more dramatic foiled look. I will not repurchase because there's just SO much in the jar I highly doubt I will be runnning out any time soon.

BE really makes some of the most beautiful eyeshadows. This is a very light cool taupe, and its shimmery in that way where it looks wet, not glittery. Using this wet is my favorite way.

Celestine shows up as a cool-toned brown taupe that gives a strong pop of silver glimmer when the light hits it. The pigmentation is light (and the shimmer strong) -- normally that's a combination I'm weary of but with this shadow it works: the light pigmentation tames the strong shimmer, and makes this a workable daytime look that can still be jazzed up for evening.

I should emphasize that for me application was key and that a little product goes a long way. The first time I tried it I used the amount of product that I normally would for a lot of my lighter and more matte BE shadows. This was a mistake. My eyelids looked like garish disco balls (to say nothing of the fallout I created). Next time, I used a very small amount of product on a MAC 217 with a light hand. World of difference.

As for staying power I was impressed -- some fallout during application seems unavoidable but over UDPP my lids still looked great 7 hours later.

This leans cool so if cool tones don't play well with your eyes I'd probably avoid it. Also, while the color does show up decently on me I should note I have fair skin.

Prettiest pearly color I've ever put on. It is a shimmery golden-rosey color that's entirely hard to describe and jawdroppingly beautiful. Makes my hair pop, my eyes pop, my skin pop. If I'm having a blah day for shadow, I can always count on Celestine and Devotion (BE). Will keep buying again, for sure.

Seriously one of the prettiest eye shadows EVER! It's the most gorgeous, unique color. I wear Celestine all over the lid, Queen Tiffany in the outer 1/3 and into the crease, and Queen Phyllis blending up to the browbone and in my inner corners. Prettiest look ever! (The other colors I mentioned are BE as well)

BE eye shadows in general are amazing. They are $13, but they last so long. You could wear one shadow all by itself every single day and it would last over a year.

This color is soooo pretty! It's like a neutral light ivory color with the perfect amount of shimmer. I like to use Celestine all over my lid and add a little bit of BE Queen Tiffany to my crease and lower lashine to give me a beautiful daytime look. I love the subtle shimmer in all the BE eyeshadows, and would definately recommend this color for someone looking for a natural eye makeup look :)

Beautiful! I haven't purchased this yet, but I've tested it out in the store and must say it's a great neutral color. I'm all about neutrals since I tend to like dark eyeliner and don't want to look overdone during the daytime. This color is great and goes with everything! I'd say it's a light shimmery taupe, with cool undertones. It goes really nicely with my fair skintone. You can apply it very lightly for a sheer wash of shimmer, or you can layer it on thicker or foil it for more shimmer, almost metallic color. I notice that with colors like this, foiling tends to bring out the silver in it. It definitely mixes well with other colors too! At first glance, I thought shimmer taupes looked like boring colors, but now I'm absolutely hooked. They are just THE perfect color. I love Bare Escentuals glimmers... they're so pretty and they last forever! I prefer loose powders over regular shadows because I find that they have better lasting power. Love it and would definitely recommend! I have other BE eyeshadow colors and definitely need to buy this one to add to my collection. I love, love, love shimmery mineral eyeshadows and have purchased SO many because they're just awesome! BE shadows are decent in price for the amount of product you get. I have spent a lot more on smaller mineral shadows, but I'm willing to spend more on a great product that really lasts!

This is such a great color for me! I have pale skin and this is perfect alone or as part of a smoky eye. One of the only BE eyeshadows that I have completely used up. It's a keeper!

This is a gorgeous color with blue eyes. It looks very neutral in the jar, and certainly doesn't scream 'check out my eye makeup' on, but at the same time it really perks up the eye area and makes my eyes stand out. That's the best thing about it--it draws attention to my eyes, not my eye makeup. It's perfect for day wear and I like it a lot in the summer time. I don't think there's any eye color that it would clash with. It's a great basic, and even though I've generally given up on BE because I hate the mess and fuss of applying, I still keep this in my go to stash.

I bought this a few years back in a shadow set and it just sat because i really wasnt all that impressed with the swatch i did on my hand..Until one day i actually tried it and i just thought hummm ok... Then i seemed to be grabbing for it at least 3-4 times a week. I have a zillion different shadows but this is my go to when i cant/ dont want to think of what to wear.

I do think that it is a bizarre shade which seems to float between cool and warm (at least on me) celestine on the bottom

That being said, i have dark circles and it takes a different tone on the main lid vs. in the crease. So its as if i applied two colors when its just the way its reflecting with my skin underneath.

I really want to like this eyecolor, but after a few tries it just doesn't seem to look good on me. I have a light golden toned complexion. I hate it when a color looks wonderful on my hand and blah on my face. Between Celestine and Summer I have to say I can't see myself purchasing anymore of them. Summer has so little pigmentation. I tried packing it on and can barely see it. Celestine when packed on is too shimmery for me and it makes me look tired and washed out. I guess I'd rather have more pigmentation and a bit less glimmer. Right now Lorac and Urban Decay are my favorites. For a loose shimmery powder Make Up Forever can't be beat IMO. They are highly pigmented, have incredible staying power and come in many interesting colors.

The BE mineral eyecolors do need a primer, Too Faced Shadow Insurance or Urban Decay's primer will work just fine, but BE's primer is good too (if you have another primer you like, feel free to stick with it). That being said, I love the texture, blendability, and longevity of these corgeous eyeshadows. I can never have enough of them. They require some more application time than compact-based eyecolors, but they're worth it when you have the time. Surprisingly little fallout for a powder.

Celestine (a metallic taupe brown) is a must-have neutral for everyone, along with Nude Beach. Great for foiling (wet application) use, too.

Overall rating: I am generally falling out of "like" with BE shadows because most of the ones I'm attracted to, including this one, are too sheer. I like heavy pigmentation. That being said, this is described on the BE Addicts Web site as a "neutral glimmery beige." Well, I have more then enough shimmery neutral brow bone highlighters, and this one is my least favorite because it's a bit chunky, so I'll probably swap it. I'll update if I get better results over a colored base.
Where did I buy this: I swapped for this, but it can be had at any freestanding BE or Sephora store at the mall.
Price: $13.00.
Packaging: Best you can get for a loose powder cosmetic: large screw-top pot with a sifter cap.
Would I buy again: Nope.
