In my country there are not many products that do what the Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Finishing Creme does. Mostly it is gel or mousse or spray and lately a lot of oils but nothing creamy that puts back the Frizz, especially when you straighten your hair like I do. So this gives it a healthy shine and puts the flying hairs back into place and I have mine for 2 years now and its still working and doesn't smell funny or anything. The price is okay considering that I still have it so long (but I don't use it on a daily basis). Still worth its price.

Love it! Non greasy and makes my damaged, dry hair look awesome. Especially on the go when I can't spend too much time working on it at home. Smells great and doesn't weigh down hair. Little bit goes a long way for me. Really helps mask damaged split ends (which I have so many of and just cannot help to my wits end!) and also fly aways. Super helpful for dry hair in winter and also when humidity strikes in summer.

My hair is pretty fine and straight, shoulder length. Have already repurchased another to leave in my desk at work and will again for sure. Overall a fantastic finishing cream that helps conceal flaws.

I literally just made an account just to write this review, because I'm shocked that there are bad ones. I'm one of those girls that HATES my hair. It's thick, course, frizzy, and its this awkward in between of curly and wavy. But I LOVE this product. I keep one in my bathroom and one in my backpack or purse. I think you do have to learn to use it right, because only a dot is needed or else I can understand how it would make your hair feel greasy or sticky. Otherwise, it calms my frizz and gives my hair a softer, shinier texture that it would never have on its own. I recommend using a dot and distributing as evenly as possible. I will be buying this as long as they have it for sure!

i was very disappointed by this product because it tames fly-aways for a few minutes and then they just come back. i would not rebuy because it does nothing for my hair. i use it after straightening (with heat protector applied) as the "secret weapon finishing creme" it's described as and it just not help at all.

I'm on my third or fourth tube of this product--I find myself buying an extra tube whenever I'm at a drug store because I never want to run out. I am of Middle Eastern descent and have very thick, coarse, frizzy curly hair and this is the only product I've found that tames the frizz. That said, I don't use this as a "finishing creme." I apply two quarter-size dollops as soon as I get out of the shower, root to tip. It gives a nice definition to my curls as well as taming the frizz. Then I use a mousse as a finishing touch.

The only thing I don't like about this is that it doesn't last all day long. I would carry it around with me (it's not a very big tube so it wouldn't be a huge inconvenience) and reapply if needed.

Bottom line--if you have very thick, frizzy hair, you'll want to try this for everyday use. If you're just looking to tame flyaways or minimize frizz on humid days, you might have better luck with something else.

this product works best for puffy hair as opposed to frizzy hair. my hair is fairly straight, but thick and when i brush it with a boar bristle brush this helps to remove the fuzziness put keep the movement and volume. the difference i find with this and a serum is that this is a bit more texturizing and helps maintain my waves, a nice finishing touch. like someone else mentioned, it works well to revive a blowout. i like the way this works on my hair and not as greasy as say redken outshine and similar to bumble and bumble brilliantine. i wouldn't recommend to really fine/thin and probably won't control much for really curly. and for me it works best on dry hair. great product for the price!

I first bought this so long ago; I don’t even know what my motivation was for choosing this. If I had to guess, it would probably be due to its claims of de-puffing hair, which as a teenager is all my thick, long, coarse, naturally curly hair did: poof! This cream’s effects on curly hair are good, but it won’t re-define dry fuzzy curls and it doesn’t add much shine. But it really works best when I’m reviving a blowout or trying to keep the blowout in place on a humid day. In those situations, this cream is a lifesaver. Again, it’s a little lacking in shine, so when I’m reviving a blowout after sleeping on it, I run my flatiron over the kinks, spread one pump of Davines Oi/Oil through my hair for shine, then use a pea-size of this to smooth down any flyaways for puffiness that the flatiron didn’t get. For midday, I’ll do the same thing, minus the flatiron. It really does its job. Although I don’t use it every day, and since a little goes a long way, I don’t repurchase this very often, but when I run out, I’ll be buying this again.

I really hate this product. On dry hair all it did was make my hair greasy and wet. On wet hair it did nothing for me. It was a big waste of money. I have thick, long hair that tends to frizz a lot and wanted something to keep flyaways and frizz to a minimum, this wasn't the product for me. I will not be purchasing this again.

This is one of the few drugstore products that actually works for my hair. I like to air dry my slightly wavy hair and I apply this once dry as the instructions state. My hair tends to be a little on the dry side so this might be a tad greasy for some but I get little frizzies and this really takes care of that and adds soft definition without being stiff. I did not find this to be sticky at all as a reviewer below stated, kind of confused by that statement but I do have a pretty old tube of this product so maybe they changed the formula? I hope not! I admit I rediscovered this product, I am a product junkie so I liked this enough but I always try new things. Recently I decided to go back to this and I really don't know why I stopped using it. I am running low on this tube so we'll see if the formula changed once I buy a new one.

Worse product ever!!! You are supposed to use this when hair is dry to add shine and help with flyaways. It did not help with either. This creme made my hair very sticky and felt horrible. I even tried using with wet hair and it did the same thing. Mine is going in the trash.

This is one of the worst hair products i've ever tried. The first time i used it seemed to be ok, but after a month my hair turned greasy, opaque and puffy. I would never ever ever buy this S*IT again. I've tried it on wet, dry and blowdried hair with small and big amounts of product but the results were allways the same. No smoothness at all.

This is my hair holy grail product. I have used plenty of other "high end" brands, including Redken, Kerastase, KMS, etc, but nothing has made my hair feel and look as amazing as this product. In Australia it's a bit pricier compared to America at around $16 in supermarkets, but it's totally worth it.

Just some background on my hair: I have naturally medium brown hair which has been continuously foiled to an ashy blonde colour. Without any product it's wavy, fluffy, frizzy and very thick and coarse. I could never, ever, go out without straightening my hair (if down) or putting my hair in a bun. If my hair got wet at the beach, I would have to tie it up or else it would turn into a huge mess. Even with serums I had previously used, they did not do much for my hair. After trying the John Frieda secret weapon, my hair was a lot softer, wavier, virtually almost no frizz and for once in my life - I didn't have to straighten or style my hair! It now sits beautifully and slightly wavy with absolutely no effort.

THE TRICK TO THIS PRODUCT - apply to damp/towel dried hair. Although the packaging suggests to apply this as a 'finishing creme', I have found that it does much more when hair is damp, therefore preventing frizz from appearing during the hair drying process. I only apply around a teaspoon - half a tablespoon, but it completely depends on your hair. I concentrate the product around the ends but bring it to the roots as well (only a little) as there is frizz all throughout my hair.

Overall 5/5 product, although the packaging is a bit boring and it's slightly pricey, it does all that it claims to do on my hair so these factors are definitely overlooked. I would, without a doubt, keep buying this product for the rest of my life.

I have very thick, coarse, curly hair, and those of you who have hair like that know how difficult "2nd day hair" can be if you don't have time to wash! I like this product for just that problem- I rub a dollop of this in my palms, smooth it over & through my dry hair, and it tames the frizzies & poufiness enough to make my hair look presentable for the day while somehow not making my hair look greasy. I've used this product for years, and will continue to do so because it works and is reasonably priced. I haven't found anything on the market at any price range that is similar to the formulation or performance of this product. This is without a doubt the best product in the JF line!!!

For the price, this stuff is awesome. It does what it says it is going to do. I like it better than some of my more expensive products. I will always love my Aveda, but for the final touch, this is perfect.

I'm not that big of a fan. I like things I can put into damp hair so that it's a little diluted, and doesn't just glob onto my head.

It smooths, yeah, but so does every other non frizzing cream out there.

This is a must in the summer when dealing with humidity. Granted, I will not blow-dry. I just use this (in infinitesimally small quantities) after my hair is dry. Due to medicines that i must take, I am hyper-hydrotic, and sweat like crazy. This stuff works to put strands back in place, and look smooth.

I have friends who do not like this product, but they spend huge amounts of money on their hair, so I believe they hold a bias.

I do not believe that anyone should spend so much money on shampoo, conditioner, product, etc. --Like washing your money down the drain! Believe me, this works. I think it is a classic.
