The finish of this is far too frosty and very fake looking on the face. I will not repurchase.

I purred with happiness when I got this last spring when it was re-released with one of this year's MAC collections. I love every bit of it. It is not glittery, but it is very sheeny. Looks amazing on my NC20 skintone and I use it as a blush (as I use Stereo Rose). I was wearing it almost every day this spring, but then the sun started getting stronger and the heat broke through so I started opting for more matte shades to avoid looking like a glitter ball :)
Can't wait for the weather to get chilly and the light to not be as strong, to start wearing this again.
I don't think I'll run out, but if I did, I would repurchase.

I'm NW20, and I use Redhead as a summertime blush with bronzey looks. It's super shimmery, so if that's not your thing, then stay away.

It's a decent product, but quite versatile. I usually use the lightest section for highlighting, but if you want shimmery blush for party and stuff you can use the darkest colour and swirling everything in will also turn out as blush (if youre NC30 and below).
Bought it from the Naturally Collection.

NC15, and I probably could go with a lighter foundation, ESPCIALLY in winter. I have more to the darker side brown hair and brows and strange hazel eyes. This compliments my complexion AMAZINGLY.

Every person I have used it on looks absolutely RADIANT. What I do is use the lighter champagne colours almost on the apples of the cheek and brush it up on the bone, then just under my temple(top of the cheek bone, sorry i'm awful at explaining where i'm placing my product..) apply the deeper peachy/light copper colour for a bit of a contour then blend it a bit.

It gives you the most beautiful glow, such a beautiful multipurpose product.

I have had no troubles with my skin breaking out to this product, and I have quite dry skin. It is sensitive and very prone to milia.

Would recommend this to anyone, It is fabulous.

It cost me around $60 NZD, and I think it is truly worth every cent.

I am so lucky that I was able to find Redhead and Blonde MSF. I waited too long and they were both sold out online and at Nordstroms. I was able to find these from an awesome seller on ecrater, of course I had to pay more and I have a MAC pro account so I gritted my teeth and bit the bullet because I knew I just had to have these. I originally was only going to get Blonde but I'm so glad I got Redhead and Blonde because Redhead is so gorgeous and pictures don't do it justice! I use my Sigma F50 brush (skunk brush) and stamp it along my cheekbones in a 'C' shape and my apples and I get a really pretty flushed glow. I love them! I also want to get Soft and Gentle MSF as I hear it is a great highlighter.

I would absolutely buy these again but since they are limited edition I'm not sure if MAC will ever release them again! They should just make it part of their permanent line! I guess they like to torture their customers!

Just holding my MSFs gives me warm fuzzies, i love these things. I truly need to get another hobby.
I bought the Redhead because it seemed so lovely and inviting, it is quite frosted/shimmery so if you like to pack on the product it may be overkill. I use just a touch on the top of my cheekbones, on my eyelids and cupids bow. I dont see it ever running out, since i use far less than my regular natural MSF (light medium).
My only issue with MAC Australia is the ridiculously inflated price compared to MAC USA or other countries. It's close to double the price on most products, so if i can i order online from Canada. Also the 3 MAC stores near me are ALWAYS out of product. but ive gone off on a tangent.. to sum up: awesome product!

I have been using Redhead for the past few weeks. In those past few weeks I have constantly been reaching for this blush. I don't have many blushes in my collection, just your standard pink and peach tones (using whichever one matches my makeup for the day best). I went to get my skin matched and the lady put this on my cheeks, unfortunately the foundation didn't work out, but this blush was stunning! I went the next weekend to return my foundation and immediately asked them if they had any left (they only had 3)!

I'm on the fair side of things, so this shows up great on me! It gives my face a nice flush to it that looks natural and flawless! I have gotten so many compliments in the past few weeks about my skin looking great, and I have to owe some of that to this blush (the rest to my new skin care routine at night, ha!).

If you can, purchase this blush; if you can't, pray that they bring this back at some point.

Can be used as a blush or highlighter. It is so beautiful, grab it before it's gone.

I was excited for the release of this collection because of all the hype I heard about the re-promotion of Blonde and Redhead MSF. I am cool-toned, and when the SA applied Blonde to my face, nothing really showed up. I liked the shimmery, glowy effect but I feel like the same can be achieved with other golden highlighters I own. I decided to buy Redhead upon impulse, since it was sold out almost everywhere in my city and because I had nothing quite like it. However, I feel like it emphasized the redness in my skin and made me look kinda odd. I have been battling facial redness due to irritation FOREVER! I'd say if you have red patches on your face (I can't even wear NARS Torrid blush - turns the coral tones RED), steer clear away from this MSF. Also, the highlighter faded pretty quickly so it was not long lasting for me, and it is too frosty and easily scattered for my liking. I like striking, sharp make-up like cut-creases and noticeable blush, concentrated on a small area of my cheeks. I returned the MSF two days after purchasing. Maybe it's just 'cuz I'm Chinese with redness and my complexion clashes with the product.

For reference I am NW20.

There are so many of you on Makeupalley who are experts with makeup, that my review is probably going to make you laugh. And you really ought to! I feel like I've recently had a "duh" discovery, and it's all because I haven't paid enough attention to makeup reviews. In all honesty, other than MAC Face and Body Foundation (C4), I don't think I've ever used, or even tried another MAC product. Their advertising seems to be aimed at artists, makeup professionals, and people who have the kinds of lives that give them opportunities to be creative and daring with makeup. I'm a former high school English teacher, and a suburban Mom of 3, so I'm regularly intimidated by MAC's ads, and their glamorous reputation. My most "brave" experiences with makeup have been buying Laura Geller kits from QVC, and using all the colors in the kit...together. Woo hoo! So when I see promotions for Gareth Pugh, and the MAC's Metal collection, all I can do is assume a world of fantasy exists beyond me, and enjoy it like I'm watching True Blood or something.

MAC's recent collection, Naturally, caught my eye immediately. Not only did the colors appear to be relatively timid, the whole look appeared to be something I might be capable of creating on my own face. ...Let me say, I'm relieved I bought my products before the Iris Apfel ads, in all their HG glory, started showing up everywhere. They most certainly would have scared me away from Mac again. Something about Iris (maybe those glasses?) causes a childhood memory of a terrifying elderly aunt of my mother's, who, before she left to go home from a visit, used to demand that I take off her shoes and put her boots on her sweaty stockinged feet. To this day, when I think of her feet, I still get chills...

Anyways, Naturally really attracted me. So I bought a blush in Early Morning, and I bought the Mineralize Skinfinish in Redhead (and a couple lipsticks, which I'll review later).

The Mineralize Skinfinish in Redhead is astoundingly wonderful. It's one of the best makeup products I've ever owned. It goes on like butter, and it never cakes, flakes or looks dry. It illuminates my complexion, but it doesn't look silvery or greasy. The colors are perfect as an all-over finisher, plus I use them as eyeshadow, and as blush, if layered. The colors are so wonderful I swear they bring out highlights in my hair. They're so perfect for me, I don't think I've looked this good in years!

Today I wore my Face & Body Foundation, Redhead Skinfinish, Early Morning blush, and mascara. I didn't even attempt to put on eyeliner (which is so rare I can count the times I've gone without eyeliner in the last 25 years on one hand), because I appeared to have such a "healthy" flush and overall brightness, I didn't want to ruin the natural effect. Plus, these colors brighten my eyes to the point where they don't need as much emphasis as usual.

I've decided my for my New Year's Resolution (I know it's late, but I hadn't bothered to make one before this), I'm going to become obsessed with MAC makeup. I have a feeling I've been missing out, and I love discovering new stuff to play with! This Skinfinish is a joy to wear.

i was excited for this release in the naturally collection so i went in and swatched blonde and redhead and the darkest stripe on both swatched almost identically. i liked the peachy/gold sheen that redhead had compared to blonde's silver sheen (as i have sooo many cool silvery highlighters). the pigmentation isnt the best, nor the worst since i wore it as a blush alone and it showed up as a soft glow on my nc 40 skin. definitely one of the most natural blush looks ive seen on myself, was pleasantly surprised by redhead.

LOVE MAC Skinfinishes.. esp Love Redhead. It's one of my all time favs and I got it in a swap.. going to be so sad when I start to hit pan on this. I usually use these over bronzer and makeup for a nice dewy finish on my skin.. looks great!!! Would recommend. I have olive tone skin so it doesn't go on dark.. just a dewy finish. So if you are lighter it would prob be great for minimal bronzing - dewy finish.. for darker/olive tones it is a great finishing product with a dewy finish. (how many times can I say that?!!? haha ) LOVE this product!

This is nice, but I prefer the Blonde MSF personally as it suits my skin tone better. However, the Redhead is another versatile, good all-rounder. You can go from shimmer to flush of colour and back again depending which end of the compact you start from. You can use it on your lids and lips, too, even your shoulders or decollage for a touch of shimmer.
Definitely worth a try.

love the brunette more than the redhead. The redhead does not offer eough color payoff for my nw45 skin, it leaves shmmer but no color , which is what I want, shimmer with color. I would buy others if they were available but nothing from redhead

Ran into this out at my local CCO and had to give it a spin! It's beautiful and I love how you can choose to lighten the color or darken depending on what side you swatch from. A full-over sweep of all colors is very glowy, in a highlight AND blush kind of way. All shimmer, not glitter (NICE). I feel like this one is Stereo Rose's little sister... Not too overpowering, a lighter lighter and milder, but on the same color front. Beautiful.

it is only by chance i have this product, as a girlfriend who never uses shimmer (and hadnt used this once!!) was kind enough to pass it on.

i LOVE (*screams*) it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for the record, i am not a redhead. i have fair skin, brown hair and pale green eyes. it is perfect on me and adds just enough color to contour and warm up my cheeks for daytime. the shimmer is elegant. texture has a slight bit of creaminess to it, similar to a Dior 5-color eyeshadow (it is a powder, not cream at all). i have all the Dior shimmer powders, MAC Warm Soul, and a few Nars multiples and i like this best for highlighting, the texture is just superior.

I adore this.

For my fair skin, it's perfect, giving me a gorgeous, peach-tinted, sun-kissed glow. It's gorgeous as a blush or as added dimension to a blush. I even love it as eyeshadow shades. It's just the ultimate in multi-purpose for me.
