The product leaves a weird cooling feel on your lips that kind of tingles. It did plump my lips though. The main problem I have is the color-berry desirable more like berry disposable piece of crap. The color was bad and very obnoxious. It's hard for me to find a lipstick that looks good b/c of the strong tones on my fair skin. This one didn't do the trick and made me look washed-out. Still in search of a decent lipstick color.

I love this lipstick! I can't believe it got some negative reviews. Yes, your lips will sting but that's because it's a plumping formula and contains cinnamon oil. It definitely plumps up my lips and I love how it goes on like a gloss but is pigmented like a lipstick. It gives my lips that "wet" and juicy look and my lip creases don't show after I wear this. (Give it about 15 min to reach its plumping potential.) I bought "Peach Plump", which is more of a medium rose than peach but still looks really pretty. I just ordered "In the Nude" too and LOVE IT! It goes on lighter than it looks in the tube and is a perfect beige nude for my NC37-40 skin. Overall I am very happy that I found this product and it's definitely worth trying if you want juicy, plumped up lips!

I purchased this in 'born with it' and HATED IT! The fragrance was nice, but the color was way off! On the sticker it looked like a dark nudey color, but when i applied it, it was a dark pink / rose color. It's supposed to tingle a bit, but my lips tingled for at least 5 minutes, didn't find it that plumping either. Definitely won't buy this lipstick again - waste of money :(

I love this lipstick. I just got it in Berry Desirable, a lovely berryish pink.

Like others have said, it is a bit tingly, but it's not that bad. And it plumps! Oh how it plumps! Not so much that you feel ridiculous and can't talk properly (ask me how I know) but just enough to notice. I only have one of these, but I'm thinking I'll buy another when Maybelline goes back on sale.

This by far is one of the worst lipsticks I have ever bought, so much so that I ran... not walked straight to Makeup Alley to tell you all not to purchase this product. I bought this at CVS where they have it marked 50% off and for good reason. I have the receipt in front of me now to make sure I take it back! First I mistakenly bought a lip plumper which I don't need, this lipstick has a burning sensation that will make you think you dipped your lips in hot fish grease..i waited and waited for the sensation to wear off and when it did my lips had a numbing feeling like I had been to the dentist office. If there was a silver lining in all of this it had to be that the color was pretty and smooth, but still not enoughs pros to outweigh the cons. I highly recommend that you do not by this product and even that Maybelline discontinues it as soon as possible.

I don't understand why people love these lipsticks so much. I recently purchased four of them (Peach, Toffee, Nude, Born With It) and was really let down by all of them. I saw no plumping action and felt almost nothing (certainly no burning, tingling of the lips). Additionally the consistency/color was really poor. This was like a bad mixture of lipstick and lip gloss, with a majority of the pigment settling into the lines of my lips... creating a very funky look.
I can understand why these things are being discontinued. Thank goodness I could return them!

I first bought it at walgreens because it was a really good price on sale and at first it stung really bad but after other applications it died down! Luckily cuz I was about to toss it if I had to feel that burning again! I did one swipe on my lip and it got a really good color pay off, I was on my 2nd swipe on both bottom & top before I relized It was too dark on my lips! So im very impressed with the color pay off, Im not sure about the plumping part, I dont really notice a difference but it has a good color payoff!

This is a wonderful product. Initially, I was concerned about the warning located on the side of the product and don't ever remember a lip plumping product with such a label. This is quite a bit more tingly than other lip plumping products that I've used (and believe me, I've tried quite a few). It did actually make my entire forearm that I used for the swatch (see above) extremely red and tingly as well, but went away after 20 minutes. The colors are gorgeous and it definitely delivers in the lip plumping department. The staying power is minimal as is the coverage, but the shimmer is nice. I purchased the (From Left to Right on the swatch above);
140- Petal Attraction : would designate this as a nude color
320- Passionate Plum : My favorite color. Absolutely gorgeous. It looks scary dark in the tube, but offers a beautiful shimmery plum color.
520- Crimson Crush : Okay, but almost like a lighter plum color, not so much crimson/red.
640- Tantalizing Toffee : Beautiful color that resembles a dusty rose type shade.
I purchased these on clearance at Walgreens for $2.19 so I really got a steal on a really great product.. Overall, I would recommend this product for anyone looking for a more inexpensive, but nice lip plumping product. Like the warning says though, be careful. It seems like more people are sensitive to this product that others.

I love this color in Born with it. For some reason it is a better shade than the other Born with It shades in Maybelline's other collections. Favorite color to wear over a lip balm and applied with a lipbrush looks beautiful and only slightly pink. I really like it, however, staying power isn't that great.

Yay! I am in LOVE! I have such a hard time finding lipstick that I like that I am absolutely thrilled to have one that I LOVE!

I bought this on clearance at Walgreens. There were not a whole lot of colors left and I got the last tube of Petal Attraction. I am a PPP with cool/neutral undertones and this color is perfection for my skin. Something funny here: I never buy plumping lipsticks or glosses b/c I have never heard good reviews about them. When I purchased this I had no idea that it was a plumper. So the next morning when I put it on, I thought I might be having a reaction to it. Haha. I finally looked at the sticker on the bottom and realized what normal people would have known all along. Oh and the plumping works! I noticed a difference within just a few minutes and felt a bit sexier as a result. : )

In addition to the working plump factor, the color stays put all day and is completely comfortable. It is not drying at all - most long-lasting lipsticks make my lips feel really dry and icky - and the color looks fresh well into the day. I worked for about 4 hours and then dropped by my house to freshen up and YAY... it was still there.

I am really hoping that the clearance at Walgreens is not an indication that Maybelline has discontinued this lipstick. Oh I will be so, so sad!

I got this in Petal Attraction, which walks the line between pink and berry in color. I really like the color, but it is pretty sheer considering this is a lipstick. Because I've been attached to lipgloss for so long, it's a nice way to break me back into using lipsticks.

I am not a fan of the glitter in the lipstick though, and if you touch your lips and anything else be prepared for sparkles to stick elsewhere. The lipstick lasts a few hours if you're not doing anything, like drinking or eating. Otherwise you'll get a color ring around your mouth. It is very moisturizing though, better than a lot of the lip balms I've used.

There is a definite tingling sensation, which at first feels like a burning then fades into a numbing of the lips. It doesn't bother me, but I could see how if you had very sensitive skin or were on acne medications that the feeling could be unbearable. I'm not sure how effective the plumping is - I feel like repeated use is needed to get a noticeable effect (like BE Buxom gloss).

I will definitely use this daily, but I won't buy it again because of (1) the sparkles and (2) the price. I can get better lipsticks for the same or less money.

Review for color 160 Born With It
Beautiful beautiful beautiful color - on my skintone its rose with some shimmer, and a nice gold/apricot sheen. Really emphasizes my lips, making them appear fuller. The tingling sensation isn't any worse than most plumping lipsticks. Creamy consistency, non-drying, decent staying power. Smells almost fruity but doesn't really taste like anything which is odd. Overall great everyday color. Would repurchase.

I just bought this at my local rite aid, I saw it one the web site, and since i am a fan of the gloss I couldn't wait to try this one. I got "Born with it" and ran home and put it on, I love the tingle, the color is different, it's a bright pink color, sort of fuchsia but not as intense, and I usually stick with nude and natural shades so this is a bit out there for me, but I like it and it will probably become my "date night" lipstick with my hubby ;) I want to try more colors, but will wait for a sale since 8 bucks is a bit high IMO. It feel s nice, I can't comment on staying power yet since I just got it, but so far so good.

I cant believe how many bad reviews this got on youtube-mostly tho people were saying that they didnt like it because they couldnt handle the sting. Well i have the volume seduction lip gloses and love them so i decided to try the lipstick version. I put it on after eating and it had the same kind of numbing effect as the lip gloss but seemed more intense. And with the lipstick the tingle didnt last as long as the lip gloss. But the color stayed on nicely and didnt fade quickly. I got it inpassionate plum and i love it !! Plan on getting more when walgreens has a sale for maybelline, which i s about every other week lol

I got two of these in neutral shades (In the Nude and Peach Plump). They feel nice going on, the tingling sensation didn't bother me, and the faint smell was pleasant enough. I almost always pair lipstick with a similar gloss shade, but these were fairly shiny on their own. Packaging is decent enough, lasting power was okay without eating or drinking.

The downside is, I think these lipsticks made the creasing in my lips deeper (or at least more apparent somehow) once they'd worn off. I didn't notice significant plumping, but it does seem as if they "deflated" smaller lines in my lips and made them darker. This could've been my mind playing tricks, but I've never experienced that before (and I should note that the issue wasn't permanent). Still, these are worth trying if you don't mind the tingling of plumping ingredients.

This would probably be a great lipstick for those who do not have trouble with the ingredients. I did not know this was different from other Mayb. lipsticks until I tried it on. The stinging ingredients hit me first and my blood pressure went way up and it stayed that way for two hours. If you take any kind of strong medicine as I do for chronic illness, please be careful. This could have been much worse for me:)
The adrenaline problem was horrible.

I have this in Peach Plump, which is a pinky-peach--more pink, though, than peach. It is an absolutely wonderful formula, creamy and fairly long wearing. I have never used a Maybelline lipstick before because I always thought they looked so cheap and because I hate Maybelline packaging, but this one is amazing. It is the one I reach for all the time now. And yes, I will be trying other colors in this line.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this lip colour!!
This has replaced my old favorite lipstick.
I just bought this today in the shade "120 Peach Plump"
because i tend to always get peachy/pinky shades, which i recently found through a cosmetic quiz that are actually ideal for my skin tone and eye colour. so YAY!

love it. Love the smell too, it smells fruity to me like Starburst candy. The colour is perfect and is totally buildable, i actually like that after it sort of fades throughout the day the colour looks even more natural on me, and thus far this is the only "plumping" product i've used that actually did just that.

My HG lip colour. Love it. Will definately be stocking up : )

I bought 140 Petal Attraction. It is the perfect nude for a PPP with pink undertones. It smells great, tingles, and provides a high shine. It is also moisturizing and wears well. To complete the look, I use one fo the two lip liners: 1. Cover Girl Outlast Smooth Wear in 130 Nude or 2. Clinique Defining Liner for lips in 07 Plush Pink.

For blush, I use Kohl's Peek-A-Blush in 12 Hot Mamma, which is perfect nude for my complection in a matte finish.

The nice thing about nude colors is that the eyes can be played up with a multitude of looks - browns, greys, purples, etc.

This is definitely worth trying. Just remember, it looks darker than it is.

This lipstick is pretty amazing! The ad with Christy Turlington at Rite Aid caught my eye and I had to browse through the shades. I've been trying my hardest not to give in to Clinique's "black honey" lipstick even though I tried a sample and loved it. Alas, it is just too expensive. Maybelline's Volume Seduction Lipstick is under $10 and "passionate plum" looked exactly like the too-dark-in-the-tube-but-gorgeous-on-your-lips type of color! So I bought and tried it on immediately. The first thing I noticed was that it smells like the Volume Seduction lip gloss -- a sort of spicy scent that I can't really describe. There is a tingling sensation that increases after application but it's not too extreme. I love how the lipstick's texture is so natural and beautiful. I get buildable color, lips with a slight sheen, and plumping benefits. How can I not like this?? The only con I can think of is that this product has some glitter in it. But it's very subtle and adds to the slightly glossy effect.

EDIT: After testing out a few new lipsticks and hating them, I recently rediscovered how much I loved this product! Instead of applying this like a regular tube of lipstick, I gently tap the color onto my lips. This gives me a sheer, natural-looking coat of color and keeps the stinging to a minimum. After all, I didn't buy this for the plumping effect, though it is a nice touch. I'll definitely check out other colors.
