I have a small issue to address: The previous reviewer had some good recommendations based on color, but not on quality or price! Four individual MAC eyeshadows cost $60, whereas a Chanel quad is $59. Of course, if you purchase the MAC pans, the total is $48, so that could be a significant difference in price for some people. However, four MAC eyeshadows are .20 ounces, whereas a Chanel quad is .24 ounces. So even if you are comparing pans to to the quad, the price difference versus the amount you get is not really significant between brands.

Furthermore, I honestly feel MAC eyeshadows are of only average quality at best. Many of the shades crease on me, even with a primer, and they tend to fade very quickly on my lids. Chanel powder eyeshadows last 6-8 hours on me before I even add a primer, and after that, they last virtually all day. MAC eyeshadows also are not as finely milled as Chanel's, and I find them to be stiff at times. Of course, your mileage and preferences may vary, but I just wanted to add some insight into the other reviewer's comments.

As for this specific quad, I think Mystic Eyes is gorgeous, and surprisingly so. I'm a very cool-toned, pale (NW15) girl and I wasn't sure if these colors would suit me, but they really do. I love neutrals with a twist, and Mystic Eyes is just that! Pale, soft pink, warm silvery gray, rich brown, and gorgeous copper make for a super feminine, sophisticated palette! I love how this quad can offer a very smokey, sexy, dramatic eye, or a simple and work appropriate look. These shadows, like all the other Chanel shadows I've tried, work beautifully both wet and dry, and they are fun to use to line the upper and lower lash line. The pigmentation is very good. I think Mystic Eyes is a palette that could easily suit a lot of skin tones, because the colors are so universally flattering! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a versatile, really well-done quad from Chanel.

ETA: I forgot to mention that this is the most shimmery quad I own from Chanel. You can still easily adapt the colors for a work look, but you may want to throw in a matte shade if you use any of the four colors for daytime. That was why I took off one lippie, but honestly I would rate this palette as 4.5 out of 5 if I could.

The colors in this palette can be duped by: MAC Yogurt, MAC Arctic Grey, MAC Bronze, and MAC Smut. That's the real deal. Save your money and get more quantity and better quality for your money! I do like the Chanel dust bag and Chanel eyeshadow case these come in, however. I guess that's what you're paying extra money for?!

I brought this palette thinking it would be a great everyday palette. Three of the colors are nice but nothing that can't be duped with cheaper eyeshadows. The silvery taupe color is terrible. There is no color payoff at all. Really for the price of this quad I expected much more. I'll think twice before buying another Chanel quad.

I bought this quad for AUD$100. It took me a while to figure out how to use this palette, and now I use it for everyday makeup. Like a lot of Chanel quads, most of the colours aren't very pigmented. However, I am having better luck with this palette, rather than the Vanities quad, which is a complete waste of money and a huge regret. I use the lighter brown colour and pink colour for everyday eyes, and I sometimes use the darker brown a liner, or to add depth to the outter corner. The silver is just glitter, and the worst colour in the quad. tying in third place is both the pink and the dark brown; the pink is chalky and a pain in my backside, you have to layer it several times to get any colour, other than a light shimmer. The dark brown, like the darkest shade in most Chanel quads, has a dirty texture when applied, and lacks all the intensity from the pan. The lighter brown is actually a decent colour, and I use it to define my crease. It's such a shame that these quads aren't pigmented! Mainly because you spend a small fortune on Chanel, expecting quality, highly pigmented colours. You are 100% paying for the label with these quad, save your money and buy MAC, Dior or YSL quads instead.

I have bought and used 3 quads since high school and I will be buying another one soon. They last forever and are very durable- no reapplying. These shadows hardly crease and the colors are expertly paired together. Love this eyeshadow!

Wow, I'm really surprised about all of the rave reviews fo this quad. I've only used it twice, but have had it since Christmas, and its seems sort of "eh" to me. I suppose I need to play with it more, but I agree the silvery taupe color is nothing but glitter, and the other colors seem pretty dupeable. I'll try it wet and see if I need to edit this review.

I wanted to love this but I hate it. I keep trying it out hoping to justify the cost of it so I have expermented with it time and again hoping that this time I would love it but I think I finally have to throw in the towel as my husband asked me if I had been crying when I had it on yesterday. Very disappointed but after reading all the fabulous reviews I have decided I will try it one last time using it wet. Will post with an update if using it wet makes it a HG product that the ratings tend to reflect.

I love this eye shadow. I wear it several times a week. It's great for day or night since you can make the colors really intense or really soft. I don't use the silver color for much because it doesn't really show up on my eyes for some reason, but all the other colors are wonderful. I'm going to run out of the pink before all of the others, and I'll probably buy the whole quad again just for the pink. I've already looked and they don't have a comparable color in a duo or alone.

I was not into Chanel Quads before. I had bought one 10 years ago but I remember giving it to my mum as I hated it and she wanted it. It was chalky and not pigmented, could not work with it at all.
It had the round pans (European) not the square ones that you have in the US for example.

One day I ordered this one with squares pans from the US without even swatching it or testing it as I loved the colors. When I received it, I loved every single pan, I really enjoy using it and the looks I do with this are always beautiful, you can be dramatic or more natural. I thought it would be too sparkly but I am surprised how nice it works.
Maybe it is because my expectations were not very high, but actually I am glad I got it because today it is now one of my favorite palettes.

I will not rate this quad high just because it's Chanel. I think it was a below average quad. I bought it after reading the reviews here. I trust MUAers so much that I didn't even try them on first. The SA gave me the instructions and I followed whatever she said. I applied my UDPP first as I do with all other eyeshadows. I used the silvery grey on my eye lids. I applied the bronze brown to my crease and pink for my brow bone. I didn't try the darkest color since this was supposed to be a day time look. The silvery grey was almost no color but glitters. The bronze brown and the pink were ok but nothing special. 20 minutes after, when I looked at the mirror, I saw glitter all over my face. I felt uncomfortable going to a formal meeting with that look, but it was too late to go back. And it creased in a couple of hours too. I felt cheated because of the amount of money I payed for this and the very next day the quad was returned. I like Chanel make up line in general, especially the lipsticks are wonderful. But this quad was a big dissapointment for me.
Pros: you will feel great becasue Chanel always makes a woman feel like a million bucks. I think this is the reason for great reviews.
Cons: color pay off is horrible, you can find dupes for much cheaper, and the grey is nothing but glitter. They crease too.

Every shade is gorgeous and wearable. This quad looks especially beautiful used wet. I can create a myriad of looks with these shades and so for me the cost is worth it. Great chanel pigmentation and texture; the shades are soft but not so soft that they all blend together on the eye.

love, love, LOVE this quad. These seemingly neutral colors can be applied very subtly for a natural look . . . or layered for a beautiful smoky eye. Gorgeous with the darkest plummy shade applied damp right at the base of the lashes.

This is really the only item in my stash I would describe as perfect, heavenly in fact. I can't find a single flaw. Everything down to the sponge tip applicators is lovely. Ok so I am NC30 for reference and I wear this every day. The online pics are kind of misleading. The colours include a light baby pink, gray leaning towards taupe, a golden brown and a raisin (dark plummy brown). The finish is so satiny smooth, these are really a dream to apply. Super duper pigmented and the finish is not shimmery but satiny. Very subtle. I love that you can use this daily as I do, for work or whatever, but also smoke it out at night. I wear the pink OR gray on the lid, brown in the crease and raisin in the outer V. I slap these on in a rush every day and it's impossible for you to mess it up. As always Chanel packaging is divine and I actually use the applicators since the eye shadow basically blends itself. Obviously I will repurchase this, please get yourself one you won't be disappointed.

One of my staples. I love how you can play with these seemingly neutral colors for either a dramatic OR natural look. As with all Chanel eyeshadows, they staying power is superb, and the color payoff is excellent. I've tried oh so many different eyeshadows from so many different brands, and Chanel seems to be the only brand with eyeshadows that don't crease mid day on my lids.

I love the color pay off and satin finish of these eye shadows. It is a little pricey but the quality is excellent and for its a bit of a value considering what a single eye shadow costs. Be careful not to press to hard into these eye shadows. Although pressed they tend to crumble slightly and at this price no waste is preferable

I don't think I've seen a more beautiful quad than this one! Each shade is gorgeous. Just gorgeous! The silver shade is nice on its own or layered lightly over some of the other shades. Very glad I got Mystic Eyes.

This is my first Chanel eyeshadow...I like the lighter 3 colours, don't see myself using the darkest brown too much...unfortunately the 3 colours that I like are not that well pigmented. It is much lighter after application, which makes it more suitable for daywear. The combination of colours is lovely, but due to the pigments I won't be repurchasing!

This is my first Chanel quad, and I do not know why I waited so long to get one. The colors are fabulous. They all go together really well (that's my eye in the pictures), and stay for a full 10 hours (maybe even longer, I just take my makeup off by then) over primer. They have a subtle shimmer that isn't over the top, just enough to keep the colors from looking flat. The US version has a .24oz net weight, which means each shade is .06oz, the same size (or I think maybe even bigger) as a MAC shadow. I am in love with this quad, and hope they never d/c it. There will be many more Chanel quads in my stash very soon!

I feel spoilt for life by this quad; I thought I just could not pull off eye shadow until I got it. Will I ever find another set of e/s that blend as beautifully, stay put for as long w/o primer, AND come in such versatile, wearable colors?

I have already used this quad to create looks for work and nights out with friends. Truth be told, I will be wearing these shadows at my wedding next month. Expensive for sure but worth every penny.
