I love how shiny and stable this makes my hair. I have long hair, mid back to waist length, so I use more conditioner than I do any other hair product in order to keep my hair strong and soft. I love John Frieda's blonde line and I really enjoyed this conditioner. The only complaint about it is the scent. It smells a little bit like an old folks home. I like the scents of the other products in the brand, so maybe I just don't like the scents from these particular chemicals? resasonable pricing if you buy it at Walmart instead of drugstores.

I bought this along with the Lustrous Touch Strengthening Shampoo, and together these are the worst shampoo/conditioners that I've ever tried.
I am giving them 1 star only because they didn't make my hair fall out and didn't do any lasting damage.
I think the main problem with this shampoo/conditioner combo is the shampoo, but the conditioner is not nearly moisturizing enough to counterbalance the horrible effects of the shampoo. Conditioner is supposed to leave your hair feeling silky even in the shower as you are rinsing it out, and is certainly supposed to make your hair touchably soft when it dries...this definitely doesn't.
Since I can't really review the conditioner without talking about the shampoo, I'll just write a joint review.
Problem #1: The Scent
Even if I liked how these products made my hair look and feel, the scent alone would keep me from buying these products ever again. The scent is a sickly, overpowering purfumey smell that seems to linger allllll day. When i smelled the shampoo in the store i didn't think it smelled that bad, but once I used it I was pretty turned off.
Problem #2: Makes my hair stiff, brittle, and unmanageable
I think that because this shampoo/conditioner duo is supposed to be strengthening, it has some chemicals in it that make my hair feel dry, brittle, and stiff. Many days out of the week i'll hop out of the shower and just put my hair up in a clip and let it dry in the clip. When I do this with any other shampoo/conditioner my normally wavy hair dries sleek and smooth against my scalp. That is not the case with this shampoo. Even if I put it up to dry it'll slowly crimp and creep its way into looking as though i fell asleep with my hair soaking wet. I have used other strengthening shampoos before and I've never had this issue. This doesn't make my hair stronger, it just makes it stiff. I think it is the shampoo that is really the problem here, but the conditioner doesn't condition your hair enough to make your hair both stronger AND soft at the same time.
Problem #3: Lustrous my @#%
This shampoo/conditioner duo does nothing for me in the way of adding shine or luster to my hair. Period.
Overall I would not recommend this product, and I will never buy these products again. In fact, I'd be hesitant to buy any John Frieda shampoo/conditioners after this horrible experience. I'll stick to their smoothing products and spend the extra money on higher quality shampoo/conditioner.

This conditioner is a below average product. I wouldn't say it made my hair 'lustrous'. It made my hair easier to comb through after washing, but that was about it. The scent is alright- it has a salon product smell, but I can smell the sunscreen another reviewer mentioned. As for doing anything to my to enhance my blonde hair color wise or strength wise- I saw no difference. I wouldn't purchase this product again.

I bought this product mostly on whim... I was out of shampoo and conditioner and decided to try it out since I've generally been impressed by John Frieda products. I'm glad I did, this stuff has been a god-send.
Admittedly, I have not noticed any difference in the color of my hair. It does not appear brighter or different in that respect. But this may be because I don't exactly have blonde hair; it's caramel blonde, but more on the red side with an undertone of gold. Even though it is disappointing in that respect (hence the 4 rating instead of 5), I have noticed that since using this product, my hair is *dramatically* shinier and sleeker. It looks glossy and much more healthy as well as being very soft and more easily manageable. I have always had dry, slightly dull, un-shiny hair, so I'm very glad to have found a product that improves that and the fact that I was not expecting anything from this product makes it even better!
Besides that, the packaging is great. I love that it comes in a squeeze tube with a flip-top lid rather than a bottle; it makes it much easier to dispense the product and I know I'll be able to use it down to the last little bit. The conditioner is thick and creamy and not very difficult to wash out even on my fine hair. And it's not that expensive; I got mine at Walmart and it was about $6 each for the conditioner and shampoo. I definitely would recommend it.

I can't say I love the scent (it smells like sunscreen), but this conditioner works great on my tangly, highlighted hair! It's much easier to comb through my long hair after I use this product. The conditioner is creamy and thick, but not too heavy or greasy at all. I like the squeeze tube packaging for ease of use. This is definitely worth a try.

I usually love John Frieda, but this conditioner is way to heavy for me! Definitely not for fine hair.

I recently started using the Lustrous Touch line from John Frieda and really love it. I don't think I'll be changing shampoo/conditioner for a long, long time. This product makes my hair silky and shiny. The price is low but the performance is as high quality as the most expensive.

Looooove this shampoo & conditioner. Target had them in a set for $4.99, plus I had a coupon, so I got them both together for only $3.99. After using Aussie Moist for a few days, my hair felt like crap. Like a sticky coating was put over it. I've only been using Sheer Blonde for a few days and my hair looks and feels amazing. The color is so much more bright and golden. Plus, my hair feels so soft and is really easy to style. I can actually get away with blow drying my hair straight, I don't have to use a flat iron over it to smooth my hair out. John Frieda Sheer blonde is my HG for sure.
Edit: A few weeks into using this duo and my hair isn't feeling the best. It's very dry after washing and difficult to comb through. Although it feels OK once I straighten it, I still feel like it's drier than normal and doesn't feel as healthy.

Horrible. Did not strengthen my blonde hair and i noticed the breakage much more while using this conditioner. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE FOR THE PRODUCT QUALITY. Also did not make my natural blonde hair any brighter.

OMG! I love this conditioner!! I was using Bumble & Bumble but this one has stole me away. So rich, and conditions as well as detangles my long dry hair beautifully! I stock up on the BOGO sales. I will be buying again!

Just started using this product. I don't notice much of any kind of smell. The texture is thick and the squeeze tube is handy (flip top lid). The price is low-end and easy on the billfold. I need a conditioner that has excellent detangling properties; this one almost does it. I haven't used very many silicone-infused products so can't comment on that (at this point). I haven't used it long enough to know if it's going to help with highlight brassiness and will update this review later. Overall a decent product.

My previous experience with John Frieda's Sheer Blonde products has been wonderful, so I was eager to try this too. The first thing I noticed was the rather unpleasant smell. The smell isn't over-powering, though, and if that were the only problem I could live with it. What I really don't like is the "not quite human" feel it leaves on my hair. I assume this is what Frieda is calling, "The feel of silky strength", but to me it feels more like plastic than silk. My hair felt like a wig!
