I am using MAC Hot Gossip almost every day, it's a nice wearable colour. Does not dry my lips, it has a creamy texture (Cremesheen formula) and a vanilla smell.

Love this lipstick! I am fair skinned and am just starting to try more bold colors on my lips. This is a perfect color to transition into more bold looking lips. I find it works best with a lipliner for me because it does tend to feather just a tad, but I can see myself purchasing this one again. Love MAC lipsticks, especially the creamsheens, but the price is a bit too much. I love in Canada, so after tax I am paying $20 and change for one lipstick. Yikes! But when you find one you love, it is worth it.

People say this showed up very "cool" or "lilac-y" on them, but this showed up as a nice, soft pink with just touches of lilac-purples in the mix, creating a very glamorous yet unique shade on the lips.
I have warm coloring, but this slightly-cool lipstick looked very classy on me! It made me feel beautiful and sexy and glamorous, like "va-va-voom" BOMBSHELL glamorous!!
It's great for a night out, a hot date, a party, any fun, exciting place! I guess, for work or school, you could dab it on as more of a stain to tone down the intense color.
It's creamy, long wearing, and fabulous quality!

I am SO happy the MUA tried this on me. It is the perfect (corny, but I am going to go there...) Victoria's Secret blushing shiny pink on my pigmented NC30 light tan Asian lips! I have seriously been looking for this color in a lipstick forever. I can't believe I just found it now. It's just really the perfect, shiny, lightly shimmery, opaque warm natural but noticeable pink lipstick. It's a little too pinky for work, but PERFECT for parties and just feeling a little zexy.

The pictures on the site do not do justice to this l/s.I found it to be quite pretty in tube but once applied straight to lips its too pigmented for my comfort, kind of violet/purple or lilac/violet, no pinky mauvey look i was looking for.So when applied on lip balm the colur improved to a soft plummy lilac pink.I find syrup to be different from this lipstick as it appears to be a muted mauve-pink.Wont re-purchase as am not much into violet undertones but its different from syrup with more pink in it.However, am using it off and on.

MAC Hot Gossip Lipstick is described as a mid-tone pinky plum. I'd like to call it a grown-up pink - your progression from baby pinks and nudes. It looks quite boring in the tube when you look at it in indoor lighting, but in the sunlight, you really get to see how complex and pretty this pink is. It kind of reminds me of a more pigmented, brighter and pinker Rimmel Airy Fairy.

Hot Gossip brings color to my face without being too bright, and makes my lips look a bit more noticeable and full. I think it's a shade that will work on many skintones from warm to cool, light and dark.

It's a cremesheen formula, so it applies smooth and is opaque with a few swipes of the tube.

Will repurchase.

This is my go to lipstick, love it! I'm always searching for the perfect pink lipstick and for me, this is just about perfect. I wear it with Poppy lipliner. I agree with the other review that it does need a lipliner. I've gone through probably 4 or 5 tubes. I hope they never discontinue it.

This lipstick works great on me. It actually has a frosty finish but very subtle. This is a pinky mauvey plum colour but it works very well on my yellow based skin and comes off more pink. The only reason I wouldn't repurchase is because I want to broaden my lipstick horizons so will purchase a different lipstick.

I think the key to wearing this lipstick well is the right lipliner. Unless you just have huge, pouty lips, this lipstick NEEDS liner!

I wear the MAC Plum liner with it and a nice smoky eye, it looks vampy and hot. Definitely need to be a bit tan too (go get a spray tan or use some Estee Lauder spray...that stuff is awesome). Your really can't pull this color off if you are pale.

Looks very similar to Syrup lipstick but has a pinkish tone. Looks more flattering on me than Syrup but I wont repurchase.

I went to MAC and asked for a color that would make my lips look rosy and healthy. I usualy go for nudes. It's a bit dark and doesn't go with everything. However, this look really nice with MAC's margin blush as it make my cheeks a little glowy. Overall, if you like nudes i think this color might be a much. Also, if you have small lips i dont think it will go too well. Overall its a risky lipstick for me as it is not nude but can look quqite nice. I dont think i will repurchase it.

Yuck. This is one of those impulse buys off of ebay that I really regret. What was I thinking? This is a cool-toned Barbie pink and I am a super-pale, yellow-toned, 41-yr.-old who should NEVER wear this color! Very unflattering on me and feathers like mad. Makes me look like I'm trying way too hard. And of course I can't return it so I'm out $16. No more impulse buys for me - for real this time!

I really wanted to get this lipstick after seeing it featured on The Style and Beauty Doctor's blog as a color that Kelly Rowland wore on the red carpet. Im NW50 and I thought this color would be perfect for my skintone, since it looked so good on her, and I was right! This is my 1st "non-neutral" lipstick, and it definately wont be my last. I love this lipstick so much. Its a soft pink, slight brown understones. Its not loud and in your face, thats what I love about it. I can wear it everyday. Work, school, ect. I love the formula, very creamy, moisturizing, not drying at all. I never used to be big on lipsticks, but after this, I can see myself buying alot more now. Another hit for WOC by MAC!

I'm always on the search for a perfect soft pink. There are many pinks out there but falling more into the hot purple pink such as "girl around town-Mac lipstick.
Well I saw this review on utube. It was Mac lipsticks for WOC. The woman mentioned this color, she was soooo right. This is the perfect soft pick for WOC. I love it! My years of searching is over. I also LOVE Penelope Pink by the Queen Collection cover girl. This pink is richer and stays on longer. So happy!
UPDATE: Ehh...not too thrilled with hot gossip. Not my favorite pink. I will try velvet teddy by mac as I heard it's a brownish pink

I think this lippie is beautiful. I just got it today. It is an even combination of pink and lavender. You can dress this up or down and it will look great. I love how I can wear it everyday for a subtle pop of pink.

This is my first Mac lipstick purchase, I usually wear Clinique however this purchase definitely made my day. Everytime I wear it I get compliments. It is the perfect blend of pink and purple tones. It is now my everyday/ going to school lipstick. I would definitely purchase this one again.

I went to MAC looking for a lipstick that was a little darker than my usual nudes. The MA recommended this one and I love it! I really like the cremesheen formula and the colour was exactly what I was looking for! It's great for fair/cool toned girls who just want a little more colour on their lips.
