I have the Chapstick Peppermint Rush True Shimmer, and it was an ok product. And by the way, I believe this product has been discontinued. I like the smell, its kind of like the Burt's Bees classic beeswax lip balm. Its minty smelling, and when I put it on, its cooling. The bad part is that I usually put on 2 or some layers because I have fat lips, but when I did that with this lip balm, my lips began to look blueish whitish. That's not good. And when I apply it, it's a little hard to get it on, put it feels great because it's smooth when you actually work it into your lips. There is a noticeable shimmer, like really tiny glitter pieces, which I don't like, but some do. The packaging is ok. I mostly only like the way it smells and the cooling feeling on my lips.

EDIT:
This thing sucks. I put it on at night, and the next morning, it's still there and my lips are peeling off in tiny sheets. No, just no.

I have this Chapstick in the berry version. I was hoping for a good tinted lip balm and this falls short of my expectations. First is the scent, which I find is very fake and sickeningly sweet and waxy. Another con is the shimmer, which I find makes my lips look paler rather than redder. There's a lot more shimmer than color, making this more like a frosted lip color instead of a lightly red, shimmery tinted one. In terms of moisturization it's only average, but not terrible. The lasting power isn't great though. I won't buy this again because there are much better tinted lip balms out there that won't make your lips look frosted (unless that's what you're going for).

Yummy I have this in tropical and the scent is really nice and sweet. It's clear with shimmer and makes my lips look and feel amazing. I will repurchase.

I was so excited to finally see a Tropical flavored Chapstick. Unfortunately, this particular purchase has been a letdown. The shimmer in this product is silverish and cool, which made my lips look gray and corpse-like. Another demerit is due to the formula’s grainy texture – you can actually feel the glitter on your lips and it doesn’t seem as moisturizing as regular Chapstick. The glitter also tends to settle in the lip lines which can make you look even weirder.

However, the tropical scent is very nice and if they produced this flavor with the regular Chapstick formula I would probably be a big fan. Sadly, for the extra money I spent on this product, I was disappointed. One of the great luxuries of Chapstick is that you can slap it on and go; but this requires a peep in the mirror to make sure you don’t look like the undead. Proceed with caution.

I purchased this item for $3.29 in CVS.

I hate it.. I bought it in botanical bery and the tropical flavor, they don't mosturize at all and are too frosty.

Turned my lips blue, not a fan. Looked like the walking dead just come from the night club.

I had this in Botanical Berry. The way this applied on me was very similar to the Nivea Pearl and Shine lip-balm. FROSTY! The shimmer was too much and gave a slight white cast on my lips. Gross! Luckily it didn't cost much.

Well this was a mistake! I brought this on a whim because it was on sale at my supermarket. I was hoping for it to be a light shimmer but it comes off slightly frosty looking on me. It also feels waxy and uncomfortable on my lips. I don't recommend it.

This product is not moisturizing for me at all. I have it in Botanical Berry. The only thing good about it is the smell. I wanted this to be nourishing for the lips but it actually makes my lips more dried and likely to crack. Also the shimmers and glitters are not flattering at all.

Love this! Just can't find it anywhere anymore. I discovered Nivea Kiss of Shimmer, which doesn't taste as good or sparkle as much but at least it's available!

I hate the taste of regular chapstick so I decided to try the tropical scented one. I love the shimmer and the taste! It smells like yummy pina colada and keeps my lips soft and healthy. My skin is tan and this does not wash me out or give me white lips like some say. It's great alone or under lipstick/gloss.

I'm always on the look out for anything I can apply on my lips that won't cause irritation, and this is definitely one highlight from my never ending quest for the perfect item. I bought the botanical berry and was immediately won by the scent and shimmer that added a nice touch to my daytime makeup routine. Yes, the texture is strangely grainy, but a fair trade to never being sticky, or overly waxy. And I will have to agree with everyone else on too much glitter at times, but a light dabbing with a tissue or lighter application seemed to do the trick. I was impressed enough to continue buying this product (and that never happens) until well, everyone stopped carrying it. I've continued using other found products, and debate on just ordering it online since nothing else has compared.

I really wanted to like this, because I love lip balm in tubes, and I love chapstick, and I love mint. I bought the Peppermint Rush type and while the minty flavor is nice, nothing else about it is.

The texture is not as smooth as regular chapstick, more of a dry, slightly gritty feel. It isn't very moisturizing, and the glitter is too obvious. The first time I put it on, a friend made a crack about whether or not I'd been hanging out at the strip club- the glitter is much too big and there's much too much of it.

The worst thing, though, is the color. It's blue. Not just a little blue- BLUE. Between the blue of the product and the silver of the glitter, after a few coats, my lips are are blue/white. I'm a nurse and while I was wearing this at work, one of my coworkers went "Oh my God, are you okay? Your lips are turning blue!" because my lips were so blue/white and ashy.

That was the last time I wore this. I really, really wanted to like it. I wish Chapstick would make a shimmery product that was truly shimmery instead of glittery. This strikes me as more of a novelty product than a useful lip treatment.

This product was okay at first. I think the shimmer doesn't look that good and doesn't moisturize enough. Another weird thing is that the smell wasn't bad at first, but after awhile it smells like garbage. It is gross.

This Chapstick isn't a must-have, but it's useful for expanding your lip looks. Applied lightly, the Tropical one (the only one I have) gives your lips a slight silver sheen. But it works best applied under lip gloss. You can make clear or sheer lipgloss shimmery or add extra dimension to gloss that already has silver shimmer. The coconut/pineapple scent is a plus, too.

The product tends to stop twisting down after a while, so you have to push it down with your fingers.

I find this Chapstick slightly moisturizing, but I'd consider this more of a makeup product than a lip balm.

I have the Tropical Shimmer one. The smells is nice, but the glitter gets everywhere and looks weird on my pigmented lips. Maybe it's my imagination, but it seems like this is not as moisturizing as other versions of Chapstick.

I hunted for these everywhere when they first came out, but gave up after a while... until my SO presented them to me as a little gift! He found them at a local drugstore and thought I might like them. I absolutely do! I received all four of these Chapstick Shimmers in one package. All of them feel lovely on the lips, waxy and smooth, and the shimmer is just right for my lips- not gritty or disco-ball-esque. I prefer the berry one for color (light pink), the tropical one (nude shimmer) for taste/scent, and the peppermint (blue/silvery shimmer) for the cool tingly feeling it leaves on my mouth. The fruit sherbet one is nice too, and I like the color (purple), but it's my least favorite taste-wise. I will definitely be buying the peppermint and tropical ones again, if SO can find them!

I've been hunting high and low for this at drugstores in Canada and can't find it. I bought the Botanical Berry on a shopping trip n the States and LOVE it! on me, it gives my lips a satiny, but slightly shimmery, ylbb color. It smells wonderful and looks great. I would continue to repurchase if it wasn't so darn inconvenient to get it.

I have the pina colada/coconutish one.

I got it for the scent which is nice, but the high volume of shimmer cuts down on its moisturizing properties. In fact, it feels almost like it's drying my lips out. They feel glitter chunky rather than soft and supple, and the color it turns my lips is awful. I usually love the nude lip look but instead of just lightening my natural color, it turns my lips white and ashy.

I will say it's a good base for holding other products on the lips like foundation if you want to go super nude, or for sheer lip stains.
