I got this at Target because I'm a sucker for any kind of lip-adapt glosses or lipstick. I'm terrible at picking out glosses/lipsticks on my own so I always hope the color adapt ones will turn out the perfect shade.
JK Lip ID turns out a nice pink color on me. Nothing too over the top or too pinky, just a nice flattering, natural color. Even though the color is nice, I rarely grab this because of the packaging. For $20, I think it should come housed with some sort of applicator because (again), I detest dabbing lip gloss or foundation on with my finger.
I think this is comparable to Smashbox's O-Gloss (which turns out hot pink on me), just a wee bit cheaper and a tad more annoying to apply.

This is the first time I make a review for a product in MUA and I can't wait to tell everyone how much I like this lip gloss.
I can't remember where I read about this lip gloss and I decided to try it out when I shopped at Target last week. My jaw was dropped when I saw the price tag - a whopping 20usd for a lip gloss. It was definitely a NO- NO at the moment when I knew the price but I tried the lip gloss on my lips and walked away deciding that I WILL NOT get it due to the overprice reason.
After walking away for few minutes, I looked at a mirror and saw this beautiful soft pink on my lips and I am sold! I went back to JK shelves and actually picked up one and checked out!
I overall don't spend much on lipstick so I decided that 20usd to buy a beautiful shade lip gloss is worth it. Also, the gloss is not sticky and tacky. It is light and shiny. I realized that the gloss color will turn into much darker if you apply too much. So to get the soft natural pink color that I love, I apply little of it only.
Like most of the reviews state, I wish this lip gloss would come with a better practical applicator. So I don't have to squeeze the lip gloss on my finger tip before applying it onto the lips.

I got this product on discount so it was a good buy for the most part. My only gripe with it would be the application. I wish it had a slanted tip or something. But other than that, what a fantastic gloss! I was a bit skeptical about this at first because these kinds of glosses usually leave my lips looking extremely bright and pink, but this gives me a natural just drank some kool aid look. I love it. It feels quite nice on the lips with some slip. Staying power is alright. I typically apply lip items every other hour so the same goes for this. I would definitely buy again!

I'm a strawberry blonde and was wondering how bright this LIP ID was going to be - it did turn a bright pink, but when I stood back and looked, it was the perfect bright pink shade for me, so it works. The feel of this lipgloss is smooth and amazing and the color lasted longer than I expected. I say try it on and walk around before purchasing if you can, but if you can't, it is the perfect summer shade.

I never bought this- I only tried it on in Target (which I don't normally do), but I wasn't going to buy it unless I liked it. I walked around for a few minutes, then caught a glance of myself. My lips were HOT pink. I mean, I guess the color was pretty, but it wasn't something I'd ever wear on just an average day. Some people might have more luck with it, and since it was a pretty color, I'd suggest trying it out, but I personally wouldn't get it.

Overall, I really love this!! I read all the reviews before buying and I decided that this would work for me. I can see how it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea.
I used to have a lip product by Coty that worked in a similar way: it went on a neutral color and then turned a pink, according to your lip ph or temperature. It was definitely a pretty bright shade, so I was expecting the same with this product.
I love this product, though. The perfect, low maintenance product for summer, which is exactly what I was looking for.
Pros:
1) easy, low-maintenance product for summer that you can just smear on without even using a mirror!!
2) on me, a beautiful pink flush of color that has a nice shine
3) cute design on the tube!
4) you don't need much to do the job: once you put it on, your lips will stay that color for HOURS, and you can put clear or different tinted glosses over the top to maintain or keep the color.
5) provides a nice stain that can be used as a base for another gloss or lipcolor.. This is my absolute favorite way to use this product!!! You can change the color by putting another over it, then once it wears off, you still have a nice stain so you don't look pale and dead.
Cons:
1) not the cheapest product: $20 for a tube. However, you don't need much, and since it does create a stain on your lips; you can follow up with a cheaper clear gloss over it if you like.
2) I've found it to be a little drying. It's not terrible, but I certainly wouldn't categorize it as "moisturizing."
3) Would it be so hard to put a slanted applicator tip on this so you could apply directly from the tube? Really? I'm not asking for miracles here!! I hate squeezing it onto my finger and then wiping my finger . . . where? Yeah.
4) the color will be too bright for people. I love the soft bright, fushia pink that it is on me, but it's not for everyone, that's for sure.
Overall, I am very glad I bought it!! I've used this quite a lot as the weather has heated up and I've been looking for a less heavy look. Perfect for summer I think! Throw it in your purse or even your pocket and it's an easy, low maintenance look!! I'm a fan!

I got this in a swap (thanks, Lori!) and I actually like it. It's very fun -
It does get REALLY pink on me, much more pink than any other gloss or lipstick I've ever had, but for some reason it works - it's like a brighter version of my natural lip color, and I think it will be GREAT for summer. It does change color slightly from day to day, I think depending on my skin's pH.
I don't like the price whatsoever - it should have better packaging (not just a squeeze tube with no applicator) for what Target charges, but on the bright side there's a ton of it in the tube, so it should last me awhile.
All in all, an interesting product that I like, and would buy again.

Way too pink for me. It may look good in some people but in me it doesn't.

love this!! this is my first pH adapting lipgloss and i am soooo pleased. :) this gloss is perfect in everyway, in my opinion. on me it turned a very pretty pink shade, a definitely a shade i would never pick up in a pigmented lipgloss, because i always thought it would be too bright and gaudy but this manages to make it still look very natural! the finish is not sticky at all and not too glossy, adding to how natural the color can look. the shade fits my skin tone perfectly, the first night i used this i could not stop looking in the mirror! plus, the packaging is really cute, too!
the only downside (but i did not think it was enough to take a lippie off) is that it is not moisturizing. i did not find it drying, i just didn't find it moisturizing either. it doesn't advertise that is moisturizes, so i shouldn't expect that anyway.
the other nice thing about this is that it doubles as a lip tint, once the gloss wears away the color still remains, which allows me to go over it with my clinique superbalm moisturizing gloss in grapefruit(aka clear, seriously) to add moisture back into my lips.

Ooooh, what fun, what fun. This is a neat product and produces (on me) a nice gleamy hot pink. I wouldn't call it 'natural' on me in that I'd probably have to put on a little blush to set it off right, but it is pretty. However, the real bonus, as another reviewer noted, is that after a few minutes, I can blot the gloss off and the color remains, enabling me to happily kiss my guy without having him complain about gunk. Solves the irony of lipgloss as a product that temps him via look and then subsequently repulses via feel--and THAT is the real magic. Oh, I took away one lippie because $20 is ridiculous--you could buy, like, 80 tube socks at Target with that kind of cash.

OMG!!! I LOVE LOVE! this stuff, it is so perfect. The packaging is cute, and flirty. This color really does adjust differently to different people. I tried it on for the first time, and it was a hot hot deep pink almost red glossy color. but natural looking somehow? Then I tried it on the next day, and it was a light pink with a tint of a rosy color, like i just ate a cherry popsicle on a summers day! it brings out the color in my cheeks and makes my eyes stand out. This is a must have, the texture of this is PERFECT. I wish MAC's lipgloss's felt this nice, It's so smooth and silky, feels like your wearing lipbalm! (seriously)
Its 20.00 well worth it, because a little goes along way. I love this new line at Target, and i will repurchase

Great product! It comes out of the tube clear but once applied on my lips, it turns the prettiest pink color that goes great with my skintone; not too bright or garish. It isn't sticky and you really don't need much. The price isn't your usual Target pricing but the fact that a) the color lasts even when the shine is gone, b) the consistency is really good as a lip gloss, and c) like I mentioned, you really don't need a lot of get moisture, shine and color, makes it a repurchase in my book. In fact, I already have a backup on hand!

This is a great gloss. Honestly, this gloss has the BEST consistency of any lip gloss I have ever used. It is incredibly smooth and shiny, and not tacky at all, but it somehow has great staying power. You can put this on and rub your lips together and they don't stick together. It just has a lovely feel.
It also doubles as a stain, something I didn't know before trying the product. It turned a great bright pink/fuschia on my lips, and the color lasted for HOURS and HOURS, until I washed my face later on in the evening.

I tried this at Target but I didn't buy it on the spot because they were out. At first it's a very glossy fushia. But it calms down into a nice hot pink stain with a little shine that really lasts. It's not tacky at all!

I reviewed this under Jemma Kidd Makeup School however this product belongs to the JK Jemma Kidd for Target line. Its $20.00 at Target which is by no means Target pricing.
This reminded me of MACs Pink Poodle Lipglass. Hot Pink through and through. Think Barbie. Better yet, think Christina Aguilera. At first application, I thought, ooooh nice consistency. I checked the mirror and watched as it turned from clear to BRIGHT pink. Because I am not used to bright lips, I felt like everyone was looking at me. The truth is, it's actually very pretty if you are going for bright lips. I was hoping for that natural stain you got as a kid after eating a red popsicle. Sadly, none of these glosses that claim to adapt naturally have accomplished this so far. Not even Stila's, which I thought for sure would be perfect for me. After I wiped the gloss off, it left a stain that lasted hours. With that said, if you like the color it gives off, this is a 10. For me, the color was a 0.

I purchased this lip gloss at Target mainly because I had been really wanting one of the ph controlled lip glosses since they came out. I had yet to buy one because I do not live close to a Sephora or dept store that carried them, and I wanted to try before I purchased. When I saw this at Target I was elated, and even better they have testers for all the new JK, NP and Pixi products.
I do not usually wear pink lips unless it's a pale, sheer color, so I was a little taken aback when my lips turned a pretty bright shade of fuschia. Even more surprising was how pretty the color was with my skin tone and how, even though I had no other makeup on, I didn't look clownish or like I was playing in my moms lipstick. Looked like a beautiful stain topped with clear gloss, and the color lasted over 6 hours.
My only gripe is with the packaging; it is simply a flat squeeze tube, which doesn't lend itself well to application. You must either squeeze the gloss onto your finger or a cotton swab to apply, which isn't good for on the go. They could have put a slanted opening and saved their customers some annoyance. Also, $20 is high for Target, but I'm happy that I can get something higher end closer to home than an hour drive to Sephora.
To compare with the other ph glosses:
jk jemma kidd lip id color-adapt 0.5oz $20.00
smashbox o gloss 0.34oz $22.00
too faced mood swing 0.45oz $18.50
One final note - the .5oz is going to last a very long time I imagine.

I actually LOVE this gloss! It is pretty wild. It is as clear as can be & then tints your lips to a just-bitten flush. It is a bit raspberry on me, but more pink, a bit bright, but it really works! It makes my teeth look super white & the gloss is not sticky-or tacky at all. Even after the gloss shine is gone you have a bitten look. It truly is very pretty. I am a fair, light blonde with hazel eyes & this is a keeper in my book. I wear this at work & it stays on until lunch, then till I get home. Two applications & I have tinted lips ALL day! LOVE!

I tried this on at Target- I did not buy into the Ph-gimmick but I wanted to see how it felt on my lips. And for this, I must say it felt fantastic at first- the glossiness stayed for about 20 minutes, was not in the slightest bit sticky, and my lips felt satiny. The color, I noticed, had become a soft raspberry-pink shade that was very flattering. For all of this I was overjoyed and, in a moment of impulse, bought it. However, in the car I noticed that my lips which had been so prettily stained, were getting darker. I don't know about Ph- maybe I was rubbing my lips together or something, or the color was continuing to darken, but it was getting a dark purple-fuchsia, cooler than I think looked alright on me (i.e. my definition is when my teeth start looking yellowy). So the gloss effect was a bit worn off, my lips still feel very soft even if they aren't shiny, but the color is still vibrantly there. So while I am going to return this gloss because I don't like this color very much on me, my only complaint about it is the color I got. I think this would look gorgeous esp. on darker toned girls OR if you just love that kind of pop of magenta-pink color. At 20$ it does NOT come cheap but the packaging, cheap and cheerful in hot pink with black stenciled flowers, is charming and the softness merits a look. But it was just the color that doesn't work for me!
