I bought this thinking that I would see more of the purple in the polish come through than with LPAD and I do, but it isn't significant enough to justify having both of these polishes in my collection. The biggest surprise from this one was the formulation, it sucked! I applied 3 coats and when I hold my hands to bright light I can still see that yet another coat would have been better...momma ain't got all night to apply nail polish so that ain't gonna happen!! I love the deep dark colors but I think I'll stick to LPAD for the much better formulation if nothing else. I guess the search will go on for a polish that has just a little more life to it.

The color of dark purple is so flat. There is nothing special about this Polish. It chipped after 1 day.

how did reviews for this not exist already...?

i loooove this color. wicked is too brown for me, and while this can look sort of brown in some lights, i love that it's the perfect black/purple hybrid with a tiny bit of shimmer. one coat is awful, but 2 are perfect. and it wears well. love.

This is a color that is prettier in the bottle than on my actual nail. In the bottle it's a beautiful shimmery deep grape purple. On the nail it's akin to Lincoln Park After Dark or a host of other deep grape vampies. The formula is decent I've had my bottle for two years and just applied it today and still decent. I used three coats two probably would have been sufficient though.

This is my go to color! It is dark without being too brown, just a tad more deep wine/purple tone. It is very similar to "Lincoln Park After Dark", just not quite as dark.My nails are short, and polished, and this always looks great on my olive skin. Also photographs well :)

Excellent product. The colour is a dark plum (sort of similar to Rouge Noir by Chanel). The quality is very good: it does not chip and has a good lasting power. £10.00 is a reasonable price. I recommend OPI for good quality yet affordable nail polish. A great range of colours. I really like it!

Dupe for Give me Moor and very similar to Lincoln Park after dark. After wearing Give me Moor all last winter, and loving the on trend almost black plum color I am glad to have this as a backup.

I really like this color. It is a dark plum blackberry color. I find that it is really dark when applied with a heavy hand or with multiple layers. This is definitely a great color for fall. I would recommend to anyone who likes a dark plummy blackberry color. :)

I went to Ulta to get two red shades of polish. I bought this thinking it was a very dark red, but it was just the bad lighting that fooled me. After trying it, I didn't care. I have warm undertones to my skin so I avoid blues and purples, but this looks lovely on my nails. I apply one coat then wait a while until it's completely dry and apply another. It can be a brighter purple or a blackish purple depending on the number of coats. It's dramatic, romantic, and gorgeous. I am so happy that Ulta store's lighting is too dim or else I never would have found it.

I adore this colour. After wearing black all last winter i was looking for something a little more interesting. I have to say, this colour exceeded my expectations even after reading all the favourable reviews on here.
Its a really funky twist on the winter nail polish staple black, but still looks awesome with all colours and clothes. In the shade its incredibly dark purple, but in the light it comes to life and becomes a shiny dark grape purple. Really gorgeous!
I had about 3 days without any chipping, after that it started coming off a little on the ends. However, most of my nail polished only go 1 day without chipping, so this still outlasted all my other brands of nail polish. I will definetly repurchase this colour!

I bought this as an alternative to LPAD. I thought that LPAD was to black for me, so I picked up this one instead. I am super happy with the results! This is a nice dark plum color with tons of shine and a hint of purple/plum shimmer. In some lighting this can look black, so stear clear of this if you don't want a black polish. The formula was really nice on this. Within 2 coats this was completly opaque and looked very professional. What surprised me was how easily this came off. Usually dark polishes take a little extra work to remove, but this came right off. In fact, this is probably the easiest to remove of my entire collection! I love this polish, it's my go to for a nice, expensive-looking color!

I love the color of this in the bottle but on my nails it looks slightly darker and i think to most people it just looks like my nails are black. i can tell that they aren't but other people have a hard time. I don't see the shimmer that other people are talking about but i still really like this polish because it is nice to wear when i want a darker color but do not want to opt to wear a black polish.

While i personally don't see the shimmer that other reviewers have commented on, i still think it is a beautiful shade. my feet get red very easily when its hot or I walk a lot, and most darker shades simply highlight this, but the berry/wine-y undertones of this polish really de-emphasizes my problem. i am very happy with this product, and would definitely buy again.

As others have said the pretty little shimmers that show up in the bottle don't seem to appear on the nail. but its still a gorgeous color. Dark purple-y and berry-ish. If you already have Lincoln Park After Dark there's no point in getting this one (and vice-versa). They're essentially the same color.

This is one one that looks stunning in the bottle but pretty flat on. None of the tiny micro shimmer that makes it so lovely in the bottle shows up on the nails. It looks nice with one coat, but I am a 2 coat kinda girl, and with two coats this is just another vampy color. Now don't get me wrong, i love vampy colors, but there are so many out there now that I want unique ones, and this one just falls flat on actual wear. If you want what this looks like in the bottle, try OPI Black Cherry Chutney. The colors are pretty identical on, but the Black Cherry Chutney shows at least some sparkle on the fingers. This color does however, have a wonderful thin formula that dries fast and glossy, even more so than other OPI colors. Nonetheless, I would not buy this again - there are just too many prettier dupes out there!

Dead ringer for Sally Hansen's The Deepest of Violets. I bought both, not realizing that they were identical, since the SH looks darker in the bottle. But when I painted them on adjacent nails, I absolutely could not tell the difference (even in bright sunshine.) The wear was the same, too. So if you like this and can't find a bottle (or want to save a buck or two), the Sally Hansen is a great option. Neither is a HG color for me, but I like them (it?) enough that I reach for one or the other fairly often in fall/winter.

I wanted to love this but it's just too dark. It's like the pretty eggplanty sparkle I was hoping for gets lost in the almost-blackness. In direct sunlight you can see hints of purple but mostly it just looks flat. Very disappointed. :*(

This is a new favorite of mine, definitely top 5. Just the most subtle shimmer in a deep plum, it is so glossy and classic.

Very pretty vamp. I also own Sally Hansen Xtreme wear in Flirt (12) and think that it's a pretty good dupe for Eiffel. Good wear. Two coats are required.
