Long time MakeupAlley reader, first time reviewer!! Yay :)

I just had to put in a little plug for this lotion - and specifically, the fragrance. Scent is of course subjective - but for me, this is one of the better/best jasmine fragrances I've come across - and believe me, I've been searching.

I find it to be very natural, very subtle, and absolutely gorgeous. It genuinely evokes memories of jasmine blooming in the springtime - rather than some sort of plastic-y, headache-inducing chemical fragrance you'd find in a drugstore (which seems to otherwise be typical of most jasmine scents). And the fact that the lotion is ultra hydrating is just an added bonus. I'd been on the fence about getting this for a while - glad I finally made the purchase :)

While this is a great, thick moisturizing cream, the smell is just disgusting. I love the smell of jasmine, but this smelled like sour rotten apples with just the faintest hint of jasmine. Gave it to my mom who loved the scent. Definitely won't buy again.

Love love the Jasmine Body Butter, got a great deal from QVC and autoship too. They carry the large size tube. The scent smells exactly like the asian jasmine tea you drink. The scent is just divine, very subtle, close to the skin and lasts all day. The igredients are all natural and included rich oils and shea butter for extra moisturizing. Ideal for all year round use.

ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED! :) Love love love this product. The smell is beautiful. Not too harsh. It does have an oily feeling but I enjoy that in a body butter. I have eczema and so far this hasn't irritated my sensitive skin. It has actually helped the eczema on my hands. Wish it wasn't so pricey:( ($36 dollars in Canada).

Jasmine smells delicious. I purchased one for myself and another for my mother. It's hydrating for dry skin. Scent lingers, but is not overpowering.

Get a tube of this and it will last you for months. Don't waste your money on all those other drugstore lotions and body shop faux body butters. Korres jasmine is pure: pure jasmine off the vine scent, the living flower, if you will, and, the purest of ingredients. It's not sticky, not heavy, sinks right into the skin and after it's thoroughly rubbed in, gives off little whiffs of jasmine into the air. It will not sit on the skin, rather, dries to a nice smooth matte powdery-like feel on the skin. Korres body butter is what I like to call a skin primer for the body. Even when used on feet & heels, stockings will not snag or pull.Great on hands for ragged cuticles and will make hang nails virtually non-existent when used daily. Sure, it's pricier than the average bargain brand lotion, but given that, a little goes a long way. The scent is relaxing, calming, and, it makes a nice anchor for all your white floral scented perfumes because it will enhance them, not overpower or compete with the fragrance.Treat yourself. You owe it to yourself!

very moisturizing and has a wwooonderful scent to it. it does not get my skin drier but only enhances the moisture contents of my skin.
only cons is that it takes a while to rub in the lotion onto the skin.

I bought this product more for the scent than it's moisturizing properties. The packaging is cute and sanitary for a body butter. I'm not sure what the product normally retails for, but I picked it up at Winners for $6 CAD. I like the fact that it doesn't contain parabens or other harmful chemicals/preservatives. I did notice that it does get a little greasy on the hands, and takes a while to absorb - so I prefer to use it on drier areas such as legs, elbows, knees and feet. Overall, I find that it's a good product with a great scent and definitely exceeded the value of which I paid.

i absolutely love this body butter! not only does it have a great texture when applied, it also sinks in quickly and is not sticky. i've tried several of the korres body butters and i like this one the best because of the scent! it reminds me of my favorite drink, jasmine tea!

I've tried the Guava and Jasmine scents and although the Jasmine smells better to me somehow the Guava formulation absorbs better. I've noticed sometimes this happens with lotions with different scents, one works better than the other scents. I recently returned the Jasmine scent to Sephora and exchanged it for the Guava.

Hold your noses girlies! Korres Jasmine Body Butter stinks. Indeed, it pongs, it gases, it gives me a damned headache.

The smell is cheap, cheap, cheap. Nothing offends me so much as this artificial, bubble gum, sickly poser calling itself something so proud, so exotic, so unique as the flower known as jasmina officialinis.

It's funny, would you know this smell as jasmine if you were blindfolded and prompted to identify it? Someone said something about the rose and its name, Shakespeare, I think, and he doesn't speak false. If you think this is jasmine, it's pitiful (because the real thing is so much better!).

It just proves, princely ingredients commands a princely sum. You simply won't find jasmine on the cheap. I urge, go smells Neal's Yard Jasmine Body Cream. A cream worthy of its namesake.

Butter base may be good formula, but pass this over for Quince, Fig, or whatever. This is terrible. Nothing for it - this is tyre grease.

Another full size GWP I ended up with, I couldn't fathom paying $22 regularly for such a small amount of body butter. Mine came in a pump bottle which is really nice. Jasmine is a scent that has grown on me over the years, but I like it better after the scent settles some because I always find it way too 'sharp' smelling when first applying it. And in the case of this, the oils in the body butter also smell really heavy to me. At first I thought maybe my bottle was old or something, but I checked the expiration date on it and it should still be good... I don't smell the oils after I rub it in, just initially.

This body butter feels really nice to apply, it feels light but it is very moisturizing and it does leave some sheen and oily feeling behind, but yet it doesn't feel extremely heavy. In another scent I may have liked this more.

I like jasmine a lot but not this stuff. Too expensive, doesn't moisturize well. I'm going back to Lubriderm when I use this up. Wasted my money.

I LOVE the scent of jasmine and I fully expected to love this product after all the rave reviews, but I was actually a little bit disappointed when I tried it. Formula-wise it's pretty good: sinks in fast, non-sticky when fully absorbed. It's lightweight as far as body butters go, but there's something about the scent I dislike when I apply it, and the scent is pretty strong when first applied. Whatever it is that turns me off, fades after about a half hour and I'm left with a pleasant jasmine scent that I do enjoy. I wish I liked this better because jasmine is one of my favorite notes...maybe I'll try a different scent.

Got this in a set from sephora. It came with the matching lip butter. Unlike the lip butter, the body butter actually DOES smell like jasmine. It's very true to life and not chemical-y or fake smelling at all which is a HUGE plus in my book. It's very moisturizing without making my hands feel like I just rubbed olive oil all over hands. At first it is a little "slick" but it sinks right in and leaves no icky residue and leaves hands feeling luxuriously silky soft. However, by no means is this a heavy duty lotion imo, I still use my nivea cream for those pesky dry spots on my hands during the winter months. But over all, I am very pleased!

The formulation of Korres body butters is really amazing--much better than anything in Bath & Body or Victoria's Secret or the Body Shop. It leaves the skin so soft and silky.

They are a bit pricy at $21 5.07 Fl Oz. They are sold at Sephora or Beauty.com so I usually wait for a sale to stock up on this. I read that other reviewers found Korres Body Butters in different scents (like Quince and Guava) for $4.99 at TJ Maxx. I ran to my TJ Maxx (and Marshalls too) but alas--no Korres anything.

The packaging says dermatologically tested, siclicone free, mineral oil free, propylene glycol free, and ethanolamine free. In sum, Korres products are very natural.

The jasmine scent is very true to the smell of the actual flower. There is jasmine extract in the lotion. The smell is strong when first applied but within a minute the scent settles into a very light floral.

I love the way it smells with my perfume layered on top. It is great layered with other floral perfumes.

Korres body butters are GOOD. Thick, moisturising, luxurious feeling. I love the way my skin looks and feels when I use these. I have several different scents, but this one is the BEST.

I really hate phony jasmine scents, but Korres did an excellent job when coming up with this one.

It smells exactly like the real thing! It gives me pleasant flashbacks of sitting in my old garden at dusk, waiting for the jasmine to bloom.

I sometimes wish that the scent from this was a lot stronger, but I'm sure many people will appreciate that it's not.
It's just I love this smell!

I now live in a region where jasmine won't grow... so I suppose I can get my fix this way!

It turns out that I LOVE jasmine. I never knew. When I looked up the perfumes that I loved the most I found that they all had jasmine notes (usually jasmine sambac). So, armed with that knowledge I started checking out jasmine scented products. It also turns out that a lot of them smell like old ladies, but not this one. This cream has a rich, buttery smell. It lingers on my nightgown and makes me very happy. The cream itself is rich but absorbs well and doesn't leave my skin greasy. My skin feels soft and smells amazing. The packing is nice. I like the pump because I can control how much comes out. It seems like I'm going to be able to use all of the cream without wasting or losing any. I also really like that Korres products are all natural. This lotion is pricey but I feel ok about that since it exceeds my expectations. It has everything: great scent, great moisturizing, no greasiness, useful packaging, and all natural. Definitely will repurchase.
