Holy Grail of lipsticks right here! Have tried mac and Rimmel lipsticks before and none are as moisturising or as nicely textured. I have rose sorbet and a candy colour and it feels so nice on. It last well and acutally blends in and looks natural on. No stickiness and it feels really nice like an actual sorbet but in lipstick ha! Definitely worth a buy! Never buying another brand!

I absolutely love this lipstick in shade Baby Rose (712). This shade is the best soft pink lipstick I've ever owned. It is perfect for my NC20, neutral to warm complexion.
I'm really happy I purchased this after hearing about it in one of Blushingpixie's videos because I've been searching for a flattering pale pink lipstick for many years. Most pale pink lipsticks that i've purchased, including MAC's Cremesheen Creme Cup, have been too pale, matte, beige, or lavender on me, creating either a muddy complexion or corpse-like lips. I've wasted so much money on MAC and Revlon lipsticks thinking that there must be one pale pink shade that would suit me out of all of the shades they offer.
Baby Rose works for me because it is a perfect neutral pink shade: it is neither too warm, nor cool. I also love its subtle scent and shimmer, the rich texture, etc. I love this product so much that I also bought the shade "Pink Magnolia" (15) which is a beautiful sheer red with shimmer.
I've found that Clarins lipsticks in general work well on neutral complexions, offering a range of flattering and wearable colours. MAC lipsticks on the other hand have been a bit more hit and miss for me because the colours and textures always seem to be "extreme": always drying, or too opaque, or the shades aren't quite right, etc. The list goes on. For this reason, I will probably stop wasting money on MAC and continue purchasing Clarins lipsticks which have so far not disappointed.

What if really good cosmetic revelations came up randomly to your life in the summer season sales? That's what happened to me with a lipstick from this range in my local Sephora store a few days ago.
I was just wandering though the shelves for a while, giving a quick glace to whatever the store have decided to sell with a discount, and there it was: a little treasure, hidden behind a sober packaging, and mixed up with dozens of other totally different brands. Despite I didn't really need a new red lipstick (I was already quite happy with my awesome and recently purchased Kate Moss by Rimmel), I felt an immediate connection with the scalet red currant shade of Cupid Red. The price reduction was as significant (10 euros instead of 18.90) as the trustworthy aura of Clarins' products, so I made my way to cash register with my new discovery. Blessed decision! This is definitely the most creamy and easy to put on lipstick that I've ever tried. The color also lasts for a while in your lips, but definitely the most delightful feature about it is its silky-soft and extremely moisturizing formula. From now on, I'll pay more attention to lip products from this brand, for sure!

I bought a three pack on sale back a while ago. I have the 715 (candy rose) and 711 (papaya). I give the brown one to my mom. 715 is a lovely color to wear on a daily basis because it is subtle on my lips but evens out the texture and gives a bit shine. Initially I thought 711 is a bit too orange on me but I tried it again recently and is totally in love with it now. When applied correctly, the color gives a tint of coral to my lips and makes my skin appears brighter.
It is very moiturizing. It's moisture is better than the MACs, Armanis that I have. The color stays on quite while too. I put it on in the morning, after several drinks and lunch after, the color is still there, just need a bit of touch up. It is also quite opaque in my opinion, the 711 covers my own lip color quite well and is able to stay that way for a long time.
Overall, this is my HG lipstick line. It is nurishing, long lasting and has some practical but amazing colors. The package looks sleek and cool too. Love them!

I have bought four tubes of this now, in 718 (Chestnut) - it is by far my favourite lipstick. It's a pinkish-brownish shade that suits my skintone perfectly. It smells great, the packaging is lovely and it lasts and lasts and lasts. No flaking at all. It's seriously moisturising. It's not cheap (about €20) but because you don't need to touch up too frequently, it's good value for money. Highly recommended.

Actually, I was very lucky, I got this lipstick for $7 at TJ Maxx. I have 710 apricot sugar color, wow...I love it, very natural color and my lips feel moisturized too. I will buy it again, even I have to pay $24:)

I think this is a very good, underrated lipstick. The coverage is full and the texture is creamy, it's moisturising, and it lasts a good time on your lips - longer than most other lipsticks I've tried. The price is also reasonable, at about £16, and the packaging is luxurious (although I would prefer there to not be the red plastic section at the bottom of the tube, and just have it in silver throughout). The lipstick does have a fragrance, and it's a fruity smell which almost reminds me of gummy sweets. I can tolerate it, but some people might not be able to.The only thing that's stopping me from giving this product a 5 is the colour range. I wish there were more colours, especially more neutral options. I'm not a fan of lipsticks with shimmer either, and there are a lot of those in this range. I have it in three colours, 708 (Desert Rose), 705 (Soft Berry) and 718 (Hazelnut). 708 is a rosy mauve brown colour, which really suits my colouring and looks very natural on me, and at the moment is my everyday lipstick. However, it's a tad too light for me - I'm searching for something a little deeper, and I'm not going to find it in the current Joli Rouge range. 705 is a mauve/soft red/orange colour - I think how it shows up will vary tremendously according to your skin tone. On me it's a bright soft red with orange and brown undertones - quite difficult to describe, but it does suit me. However, I do have to apply it with a lighter hand as it can look too brash. 718 is a medium brown nude with slight silver frost, which unfortunately is not the most flattering colour on me, and I rarely wear it. I hope Clarins introduce some more colours into the range soon. Otherwise, if you can find a colour that you like, I thoroughly recommend this lipstick.
EDIT April 2012 : This lipstick just doesn't last a long time on the lips. Since writing my review above I've discovered a whole load of lipsticks which last four or five times longer than these do, like ones by Guerlain and Armani (granted, they are more expensive, but you end up using less product as it is longer-lasting). I know think that this is an average-to-good lipstick, if you don't mind reapplying often. I'm taking my score down to 3 and I probably will not repurchase another one.

I bought it in shade (guava) it's a very sheer lipstick, with a balm texture to it. The coverage and pigment is excellent. I'm also a big fan of estee lauder gloss sticks but this is definitely my favourite of the two. The only downside to it is it has a slightly gritty texture to it which appears to be from the slight glittery effect, I soon got used to it though.

Seriously, this stuff is HG material!
I'm not a big fan of lipsticks, because I have full, easily chapped (think: tonnes of lines), lips, and whenever I apply lipstick, it just makes me look off. I only ever use lip chap along with lip stains, because they give more of a natural effect (as if I had just eaten popsicles, haha).
But MY GODDDD, this is AMAZING!!! It's honestly the best lipstick I've ever used in my life. You can't beat it. It lasts all day, doesn't give a flakey look, and it's PERFECT.
Oh and the color. The color is incredible. Sooooo vibrant and pigmented! I know it's expensive stuff, but you really do get the value for your money. I use the 711 (I think it's Papaya). I love it so much, I would marry it, if I could.

I got this lipstick for free in shade Melon. It is a coral shade (orange) which is what I wanted because I feel like warm colors. I have no complain about the color, the package or the price (I don't know how much it costs) except for the quality of the product. It does not apply uniformly, it is very sheer and when it is gone, it does not leave any pigmentation on the lips, at all, it disappears. Literally. If this lipstick is expensive I recommend try something something else because I think the color is expensive quality but the lipstick is cheap quality.
I still use this because I do like the color and I try layering after layering because I do like the color and I am stuborn.
But I can't give it more than 2 points because from Clarins this is not the expected quality and aplication should be easier from a lipstick coming from this luxury line.

I have colour 730, pink blossom, which is very close to the colour of my lips. I bought this cuz I don't want a colour that screams "I'm wearing lipstick". The texture is great...smooth and non-drying, non-sticky. I like this texture better than the Dior addict and chanel coco lipsticks I had before. The lipstick looks shinier when I tried it on my hand in the store, but it is not shiny on my lips...I was looking for a more shiny one. But it's ok cuz I got the Joli Rouge Brillant as well to do a top coat. I don't have much liking for Clarins before so I'm surprised that their lipstick is so good. The packaging...I don't mind that it looks solid, but it scratches so easily. got it for a week and got quite scratched up on one side already =(

I really like the formulation of this lipstick. Very moisturizing without the waxy feeling. Rather weightless yet providing decent colour. The colour on lips is quite true to what is in the tube and fyi, the shade I tried was #722 Lilac Pink. On the glossy side but no shimmer/ glitter is a big plus for me.
The lipstick has a sweet fruity scent too. Smells nice to me and apparently doesn't bother me. The scent is gone quickly when applied to lips anyway.
I guess the only thing I didn't like abt Joli Rouge is the packaging? It's heavy and a bit chubby. If they change the packaging, I'm sure I'll give an overall rating of 5.

This is an awesome lipstick and very underarted.
Clarins is more low radar than some other brands but they aced it on this formula and line. I have this in petal pink - good color, nice packaging, and great quality and formula. Love it! Would buy AGAIN.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this l/s. I have it in Papaya and I'm planning on buying another one (not sure which one yet).
It is very moisturizing, and it looks almost as if I have l/g on...very glossy.
The color is sheer with tiny shimmers you can barely feel. You can build it up though, and then I get a reddish pretty color. My lips feel soft and smooth with this on.
The scent is pleasant and it tastes sweet, lol.
A winner from Clarins!

Let me start off by saying that I think this is my HG lipstick. I'm going down to the Clarins counter tomorrow to buy another 3, and after that, maybe I'll just buy them all! It was my mom who got me hooked on these, since they're all she uses, and I'm glad she did. The colour payoff is very good, the smell is divine, and the packaging is just what you'd expect - heavy, solid, and expensive looking without being "hey! Look at me!". I also found the lipsticks to be very moisturising and not sticky or drying at all; it actually felt like I was wearing lip balm or something similar. However, the lipsticks are slightly glossy and have tiny flecks of glitter in (don't worry, you can't feel them) so you do get a bit of a reflect. Perhaps not for those who are looking for a matte lipstick, but I otherwise urge you to try these!

Bought this in Fig, mainly to get a great skincare GWP. As it turns out, I've rarely used the skincare but I use the hell out of this lipstick. It's my every day go to color - sheer shine with just enough pigment, good moisturization, and it complements my skin with or without foundation. Love it. It more than I prefer to spend for lipstick, definitely, but the packaging is nice and solid. I can't wait to try new colors, since I have used this down to the very end.

I have dry lips and this lipstick does't mosturise me at all. I can't wear it alone I need to use above it a gloss or something else. I like the color a lot. very natural. But i wanted to use it by itself in the summer and not to start layering. I like more the the clarins lip balm. I just wanted a change .. lucky me It was a burgan.
28.8.2010 -Edit my review:
When I layered with instant light for lips or moisture quench lip balm in the winter. My lips stayed moisturized all day. And I use a lip brush to put it on. so I will edit my lippies to 4 (from 2)

The best thing about these lipsticks is the non-drying formula and smooth feel. The worst? - Pigment slides and streaks (especially if I try to layer any other lipbalm or gloss either over or under), and the ones that have shimmer to them appear cakey. I still prefer Clinique's Long Last Soft Shine and Moisture Surge lipsticks over Clarins Joli Rouge line -- wider color selection too.
