Hottie is an iridescent glitter in a blue-tinted jelly base. From the bottle, this seems like a very loud polish, but on the nail, it's not so bad, as long as you keep your coats thin. It's a pretty thick glitter that dries textured, so it'll need a nice topcoat to make it look nice. I layered it over pink to make a gorgeous lilac color. Sinful Colors have a nice medium-sized brush and $2 price tag.

This is an AMAZING dup for OPI's Last Friday Night for a MUCH cheaper price.
I love using this over other blue's and it is truly amazing. HOWEVER, the consistency of the polish is very hard to work with. It is a very jelly like consistency and takes forever to dry.
Wearing it by itself is hard because it can take several coats (not like 2-3, more like 5-6) for it to have a good color payoff because the jelly is a super light blue.

Packaging:
Definitely a no-frills packaging. All of the ingredients and the brand logo are printed on the the glass container. The name of the polish is in clear, large font on a sticker placed on the bottom of the bottle. The lid is a black textured material, making it easier to grip while opening and closing. The shape of the bottle is rounded, and the cap narrows as it nears the top. I'd say that the shape overall is similar to China Glaze but definitely more rounded. The brush is a slimmer one, and it widens out as it gets to the tip. I like the width, as it's one that can work for a number of nail sizes and works well with the application.
Formula:
Hottie is a glitter polish with a dark blue jelly base. Its glitter is all uniform in size but varies greatly in colour. I do think it would look more interesting if it had different sizes of glitter but I do still really love the overall look. Although the glitter is mostly the same size there is also some added micro glitter or shimmer (difficult to tell for certain) added that helps create a bit more dimension. The primary colours I can see in the glitter are golds/yellows, pinks, greens, blues/turquoise, and possibly some silver. It dries pretty well overall, nothing super fast but it doesn't take too long. It's an absolute PITA to remove though. Because of the chunky glitter its finish is only slightly glossy and it will feel gritty to the touch, neither of which bother me.
Performance:
Because the jelly base has a semi-sheer opacity it can be worn on its own as well as layered over other polishes. Two or three coats are ideal for wearing alone, and one coat works great for layering. I find that it works really well over many colours which makes it very versatile. The number of coats used with the base colour also affects the look of Hottie in layering; fewer base colour layers will bring out more of Hottie's blue jelly base. When I first bought it it applied very smoothly and had a great consistency for smoothing over the nail in sheerer layers, but once it starts to thicken it will not work well for layering (nothing some thinner can't fix). It goes on evenly in colour and glitter when the formula is at optimal thinness, and it doesn't cause the base colours to streak or shift when layering. I get great wear, up to a week or longer.
Bang for your Buck:
I paid $4.00CAD for this 15ml bottle of polish on sale, normal price $6.00CAD. This is definitely a great price for the amount given, although because of the sheerer formula it will require more coats, and so could be used up more quickly.
Final Thoughts:
Based on first impressions alone, this is a fantastic polish. With more use of the polish I definitely enjoyed it more and more despite the terrible removal process (foils help in removal for sure!). Just remember that is has a jelly base, not a cream base, meaning that it's not meant to go on 100% opaque, so if you are not a fan of jellies you may not want to pick this one up.

I like this polish. It's a nice color. It's a light, periwinkle blue color with tons of glitter. It has smaller glitter and big glitter. It's a good top coat to a darker color or flat, matte color. It would make for a great acrylic nail tip color. Or a good, fun toe color. It's a good quality polish and lasts long before chipping. I would not purchase simply based on the color not being one I wear often.

I unexpectedly love this glitter polish! I am not (in general) a fan of glitter but this color looks a-mazing over dark and medium blues. Because it is multi-size silver, gold and holo glittter in a blue jelly base it intensifies any blue it is layered over and makes you nails look like deep space :) I used it over Revlon Royal recently and could not stop staring at my nails. I want to try it over a deep navy blue soon as well. I also like that the glitter spread evenly, isn't sparse, and dries pretty smooth on the nail. I recommend Sinful glitters in general but I think Hottie is my favorite in the lineup. Supposedly it is dupish to OPI Last Friday Night and SH Shooting Star.

Hottie by Sinful Colors is a blue-purple glitter polish. I bought it for $1.99 at Rite Aid. I have to say I'm extremely frustrated with this polish. I absolutely cannot get it to work. No matter what I do I can't get it to stay on for more than a few hours before it'd entirely chipped off! I've worn it alone, with a base and top coat, and layered over another color, and without fail, I have bare nails within 3 hours. This really disappoints me as this color is beautiful in the bottle and applied. Also this is the second color from Sinful Colors that just hasn't worked for me. This color is also extremely water sensitive. I washed 5 dishes and lost all but four nails. I'm so disappointed with this polish, the only upside I can see to this is the beautiful color.
I definitely won't repurchase this, and I'm not sure if I'll be trying any more shades from Sinful Colors.

It's not really the bright glittery blue I was expecting based on the bottle color. I've put on about 5 coats and it's more of a periwinkle blue at the moment. Something that I could picture a mermaid wearing (if mermaids wore np!). I might put on a few more coats to see if the color changes. It's a glitter, so it does dry very quickly which is always a plus. But, Sinful makes better glitter shades, so I probably won't be repurchasing this one.

As much as I'm not a fan of glitters, this one is probably my favorite that I own. It goes on the nail very easily and has great coverage. It looks beautiful over a teal or blue polish and dries really quickly. The formula is PERFECT and this polish is a perfect show of how great Sinful Colors polishes are. Love it! If you love glitters and want a cheap alternative to OPI and other expensive brands, buy this!

Great dupe for Last Friday Night by OPI. I put this on top of Pacific Blue by Sally Hansen and it looks great!

Love the color in the bottle but takes way too many layers to even get close to that bluish purple color. Would work nicely over another color probably.
The bad news is: lasting power sucks --peels off in huge pieces after just a day or so. The good news: Peels off in huge pieces so you do not have to go crazy trying to remove it the way it sometimes goes with glitters. Am willing to try other colors but wondering if they last any longer.

This is such a beautiful polish! I don't wear glitter on my nails very often, but when I do this is perfect! I like to do a white/teal/royal blue/black gradient sometimes and this looks so awesome on the tips! It contains chunky glitter of different sizes and dries so quickly! When it dries, it's rather gritty but I don't mind the texture. I'm so satisfied with this I'm going to try more Sinful Glitter colors. :]

I love this polish! It's a good thing that I realized it's sheer before I tried it out, because I have a feeling I wouldn't have been as pleased with it otherwise.
I recently tried it as a layering glitter over Zoya's Ibiza (dark black blue creme with just a hint of shimmer), and it looked absolutely amazing! :D I think Hottie and its siblings (ie the glitter Sinfuls) really shine more when they are layered on top of dark or creme polishes.
I have no clue how to attach a picture to this, but here is a link to my mani w/ it over Ibiza. There are a couple of other views of it too in my pictures. :D

Poor Stargazer- you didn't get a bad bottle, mine reeks too. I can't really describe the smell- it kind of reminds me of the smell of industrial vinyl or something. Just a strong, sour, downright gross smell. It is really awful, I have to hold my breath when I'm putting this on. I've never had any other nail polish smell like this. The good thing is the smell does not last once it dries.
That said- this polish is so pretty! It makes your nails look like a mermaid's tail. Very sparkly & iridescent. It takes 3-4 coats to build up any decent blue-ness(I like the translucency, personally), but it's just adorable. I took off one lippie for
the horrible smell & the fact that it dries very gritty, but overall I love this polish. It does dry very gritty though, so multiple coats of a good, thick topcoat are a must.

On its own, this glitter isn't much, honestly. It really shines in layering over other colors though. I put it over SH Xtreme Wear in Blue Me Away and my nails looked like pretty little easter eggs. It was so gorgeous. This isn't my favorite Sinful glitter, though, you could probably skip it unless you're an avid Sinful collector like me. :-P

I love how this polish looks, in the bottle and on my nails. Problem is, if you're wearing only this color with a base and top coat, it chips in less than a day. In 3 days there's basically nothing left of it. The good thing with this product is it fares well on top of other opaque colors, lasting as long as whatever base you're using. And it does look really nice on top of the right other colors. I wanted to just use this color by itself though, and I don't think that's too much to ask from a glitter polish. I'd have to say then that I'm disappointed and wouldn't pay $2 for this again.

I generally love Sinful glitter polishes, but this one is my least favorite. First of all, I may have gotten a bad bottle, I needed to state that right off as no one else has mentioned what I'm about to mention. My bottle reeks! Not normal chemical smelling like, but like poignant, rotting... I don't know, but I can't handle it. Secondly, this takes way too many coats on it's own (I hate seeing through to my nails), and takes way too long to dry even with SV or similar quick dry top coats. However, I do plan on buying a new bottle eventually to make sure it's just a bad formulation or something, because this doesn't look bad over my blues. All in all though, I've seen better glitters, and this is just "okay" in my book. I've seen pics of other girls wearing this alone or layered and it looks great, but on me I'm just not crazy about it. For $2 at Walgreens, I say try it, if you don't like it, give it to someone else. <3

This is a very sheer jelly-based polish, it really doesn't show up blue on the nail unless you really pile it on. I love the glitter though, I layer this over polishes to give them some sparkle!
