I love Majolica Majorca and my favorite mascara is their Lash Expander Frame Plus. I wanted to see what other mascaras the brand had to offer. The brush on this mascara is the typical style you would see on a normal mascara.
I will be judging this mascara on three criterias. Length, Volume and Curl
It is a mascara that has lots of fibers, I find has more fibers than the expander frame plus. This is a great mascara if you want something to lengthen your lashes. It does provide a little bit of volume but not much.
I do find that it can be a little difficult to get a good coat on your lashes. Each coat only puts on a small amount of mascara. I do find this to be a layer-able mascara. I can put 2-3 coats on without a problem.
Now the most important part of mascara criteria. Does it hold a curl?
Not really... I find that it tends to droop my lashes around 2 hour mark, however for you girls who may not need it to hold a curl like hairspray to a hairdo then you will like this mascara.
I would definitely recommend this mascara to most girls and it is a good mascara. As for me, this doesn't do enough to merit a repurchase.

This product is not sold in stores in the US (perhaps in Asian super- markets, I haven't checked) I ordered it off of Ebay from a vendor in Hong Kong on a whim and it arrived today. First off, I think it is perhaps old, the formula was a bit dry- but that's OK, I like my mascaras to dry out a bit, they are too clumpy when new and wet. I wasn't wearing any makeup when my package arrived so I tried it out on my bare lashes without curling like I usually do. I must curl my lashes as they stick straight out and I have to wear waterproof mascaras to keep my lashes curled, non-waterproof formulas make them lay flat despite curling. I was very pleasantly surprised when this mascara not only lengthened, but curled my lashes without using any kind of lash curler beforehand. It added a nice length to them with a curled flare at the outer corners (hence the name I suppose) Later, I removed it to shower and re-do my makeup . Removal is somewhat of a pain-- it has some serious staying power, but I got the job done with waterproof mascara remover. I used this as a base mascara after curling with my Lancome curler and then topped it with my Maybelline Falsies waterproof. WOW-- the two together made long, thick, flirty lashes that almost looked like false lashes. Very nice. I'll have to see about this one over a period of time to see if I will re-order, perhaps another Majolica Majorca product, but so far, a hit for an on a whim purchase.

Very nice mascara, it is natural, gives a illusion of an extra amount of lashes. It does not really lengthen the lash so for those who are looking for a lengthening mascara, try something else. But this mascara does give you a wonderful natural look suitable for everyday as it has these tiny fibre strands that will grip onto your lashes as you stroke your lashes with it, making your lashes appear fuller. It does not really smudge, but I still recommend you dusting some powder under your eye to prevent smudge after a long day.

As a university student, on days when I'm just going to class and not going anywhere interesting, this mascara is very good for enhancing what I don't have. I have extremely sparse and short eyelashes and this makes them seem long and feathery. It does what it says on the tin and its a very good au naturel/enhancing look.
I think the packaging is really cute! I'd definitely buy it again if I don't find anything else that works better.
My only issue is that as a drugstore product its slightly on the expensive side.

This is a review for Shisedo Majolica Majorca's Lash Gorgeous Wing Neo released in 2010/11. The bottle as with all their products is beautiful. The product is a lash fibre mascara that gives a fluttery look to lashes. It doesn't give an especially lengthening or thickening effect but I find it gives a more lashes/millionize look. I quite like it to wear under glasses (lengthening makes my lashes touch the lens) so for me this is a nice natural mascara. I wouldn't pay a lot for it but it's decent for the drug store, the staying power is ridiculously good as with all MJ mascaras and even though the effect is not special the staying power is worth high end.

I like this mascara alot! I have it in Lash Gorgeous Wing Neo and i love the natural look it provides - though I'd admit to buying it because i thought it will provide somewhat dramatic, fluttery lashes.
So, staying power is awesome! i wore this to a birthday party by the beach on a hot night, while my eyeliner dripped off my eyes, this mascara managed to stay on throughout the night! I think for a good 12 hours or so. Mad love that! Easily came off with MM's Eyes Reset Gel, but johnson's and johnson's baby oil did just as well in removing this stubborn baby off.
It's definitely layer-able to a much more dramatic length. while i was very pleased with 2 coats of it, it didn't really give much of a volume. but length wise, i think it's pretty awesome! No clumps too!
All in all, I think this is a good mascara for daily looks, will def repurchase!

I bought the Lash Gorgeous Wing Neo. It's quite good actually despite its low rating that I see here. MM mascaras have amazing staying power. This one claims to give more plush lashes. While it did manage to lengthen my lashes and hold curl I didn't see any significant change in the density of my lashes. So yeah, it was mildly disappointing there. But then overall I still think it's a good mascara. It doesn't go off until you remove it. And although MM mascaras are famed for their difficulty to remove this one came off fairly easy for me (I'm not even using an eye makeup remover, I'm using the face shop's makeup remover).

This is my first Majolica mascara and it is surprising that it has such negative reviews. Basically, the mascara is supposed to provide feathery lashes so if you're looking for volume and thickening this is not the mascara for you. It gives me good length and holds my curl well. What I like best is it does not make my lashes crunchy or stiff. Though I do advise not wearing it on the bottom lashes because it is not oil resistant and I had issues with smearing because I do have oily skin. I am pleased with this product for an everyday look. I cannot wait to get my hands on the other two mascaras!

This product was my first foray into Japanese (and MJ) mascaras. It did not disappoint as I prefer natural looking lashes. While it takes a few coats for me to get the look I really like, the product never clumped and I found the formula very build-able.
Tear-proof and raccoon-eye-proof, and best of all, it holds the curl of my lashes. 99% of "American" brand mascaras, including the fiber-based ones, undo the curl I just put in with my eyelash curler.
I just purchased the Glamour Volume On version and like it for more dramatic looks, but Lash Gorgeous Wing is great for everyday, daytime use.

I don't like this at all. It smudges under my eyes by mid day, which is has happen to be before with other brands, I do have oil lids. But this is the only mascara that flakes on me. Everytime i use this, i notice flakes of fibres under my eyes before noon and it doesn't do much for my lashes - the bottle seem very "dry" and i can't seem to get much product onto my wand even though i tried scrapping at the sides of the tube. I just don't use it anymore.

I wanted to love this mascara! I bought this after hearing all the hype about the Majolica Majorca range. However.. my biggest gripe about the product is: it looks TOO natural. Even with 23094782340 coats of this, I still don't see a difference in my lashes! I have naturally long lashes, and this extends them, maybe a teeny, tiny bit with the fibres suspended in the formula. It does nothing for volume, doesn't hold curl, doesn't really do much else. Disappointing. This is also one of the 'higher-end' mascaras I've bought, and I must say I will not be repurchasing. If I have to choose one thing I like about this product.. it's probably the tube.

I really like this mascara!
It has the qualities that I look for in a mascara.
1) gives me natural looking lashes
2) holes the curl (I use lash curler)
3) no clumps or flakes
I usually find that for me most mascaras are not able hold
the curl of my lashes and falls down within an hour but
this one kept it up all day!! And it didn't create flakes or clumps. Since the mascara gives a thinner coats to the lashes, I did not get any smudges either.
I would definitely keep buying this mascara!

what ive notice with all the MM mascaras is that they deliver what they promise, i own all 3 MJ mascara and after using them my short, fine eyelashes look like what MM advertise on their info leaftlets
gorgeous wing, give a feathery appearance but i find the brush did not grab and coat my lashes as mush as i hoped. this is my least fav out of all three. got some smudging at the end of the day
Lash Enamel, this one is awesome! at first i thought my eyelashes were clumping but you have to give it some patience and u will get beautiful dark glossy dense lashes, this give volume and length. fave out of the three. this has got great staying power, this is the only one i will repurchase
Lash expander, this one gives what it promises length, but no volume. because of the comb this will give some lift to ur lashes. this has got great staying power
with all MM mascara they are waterproof, so they are a pain to remove. i tired all these mascara without a base

I don't understand the low ratings for this product. I have all 3 types of the Majolica mascara (including lash enamel glamour volume on and lash expander frame plus) and although among the 3, this one gives the most natural effect it isn't a bad mascara at all. In fact i don't have a preference for either the mascaras because i find that they all perform according to what they promise. Lash gorgeous wing promises to give your lashes a feathery and fluttery look and that is exactly what it does! I use it under a layer of Anna sui mascara base and i get nice fluttery feathery lashes that I really like. Those who prefer a thicker more falsh lash effect look might not like this. Instead, you should be looking at the lash enamel glamour volume on. Some people have complained about the fibers falling into their eyes or onto their undereyes but personally I have not had that problem. For a drugstore mascara, it really performs very well unlike some of the Maybelline mascaras (eg lash discovery) which gives you crappy lashes. This mascara is also very waterproof so you will need a very good eye makeup remover; I use L'oreal gentle eye makeup remover. And lastly, it is cheap at about RM45.90 or RM38 when it goes on sale ( about 8-9 pounds). I will repurchase this when I run out or I will try the new Lash gorgeous wing neo (which will be out in Aug/Sept 2010).

God this product is extremely horrible! The advertisement is just a big hoo-haa! I was fooled by its ad! This mascara did absolutely nothing! It didn't even lengthen or darken or do anything!!! it's just a plain disappointment! And to add on, I have already long eyelashes and this mascara is just absolutely useless!

I always like Majolica products, but its Lash Gorgeous Wing didn't really 'WOW' me. It is able to hold the curl, but there is no volume at all! Lengthen? I don't think so..Clumps? Yes..

I actually use the lash expander one also from MJ, but wanted to try the other ones to compare the outcome.
This was the cheapest out of the 3 mascaras that were sold (other than the mascara base which I also got). Wasn't expecting too much as I read it was suppose to be the most natural one out of the 3 making my eye lashes more dense, but not more volume.
Overall its an alright mascara, it does hold a curl and looks natural which is good for work. The only downside is that first of all the fibers flaked off quite easily so I either get them under my eyes or in my contacts occasionally which is extremely annoying. The other thing was that when I used it on my bottom lashes it would smudge giving me raccoon eyes.
Also using this with the MJ mascara primer helped hold the curl longer and more dense than using the lash wing on its own, which is ok when you have the time, but not when you are in a hurry which I often am when I'm using this ;;

Some people might not like this so much, especially compared to Lash Expander which usually gets the hype, but I really love this mascara.
For daytime, all I want is for my lashes to look blacker as I am relatively fair. My lashes are already kinda long and have an okay volume, so I don't want to over-dramatize for classes or work and just use this mascara to get very natural, but long and black lashes.
Must-buy daytime wear!

Okay I fess up. I must have been a lil bit cock eyed the day I went into the drugstore and bought this mascara. I had actually wanted to buy the Lash Expander. D'oh indeed.
That being said, despite many negative reviews I found online on this product, I don't hate it. It holds a curl decently and is easy to apply and is kinda pretty if you are going for the natural lash look. However, as someone who severely lacks natural lash length, this mascara won't do the trick for me. I guess I will use it for light makeup days.
That being said, I'm not IN LOVE with it or anything so I won't repurchase.
P.S. No I haven't experienced much irritation with the fibre, but maybe its because I applied a base.

I really wanted to like this. It made my short asian lashes curl nicely and gave it decent length. (I had a fiber primer on also!) but it's pretty average to me. no volume whatsoever, but I wasnt looking for volume in particular. The gorgeous wing it suppose to lengthen I suppose and lash expander gives volume? I havent tried lash expander yet, but maybe I will since it sounds appealing.
Overall, nice but average mascara, I just dont find myself using it as much as I thought.
