Spotted this for £1 and Im so glad I picked this up, I have several shades from the 60 second range and this has to be one of my faves, im on day five of wear and its still in pristine condition, very deep dark shade that looks almost black, large brush makes application a doddle, two coats and a couple of mins later and you're good to go.

I LOVE this nail polish. I was desperately searching for a dark purple nail polish and this one is perfect. It goes on smoothly and lasts for ages if you use a base and top coat. The first coat you apply comes out medium dark purple, but then when you apply the second coat it comes out a deep shiny purple thats almost black which I love. This is a perfect colour for autumn and winter but also for the warmer seasons to give you that edge. I will definitely be repurchasing this when I run out. The only thing negative to say is that I think application takes more than 1sec as it states on the bottle but who really cares.

I usually go for pinky-brown shades of nail polish, but I wanted to try something darker (without going completely black) so I picked this up at Walmart. It was just under $2 so I figured "What the heck!". And I'm now in love with this shade :) From the first coat, which is pretty light, you wouldn't think you could achieve such a rich "deliciously dark" shade, but it does the job in just 2 coats! And because it dries so fast, you're still done in no time. The bottle is cute and the brush makes application fast and easy. In low lighting, the shade DOES look black, but in brighter light, you can definitely see the purple :) This is my new HG fall/winter shade :) I will definitely be trying other shades in this line of polishes :)

Love this color!!!! Its a dark plummy purple, almost Bordeaux. First coat was streaky but I applied two and it's sooo pretty. Color comes out really dark, almost black. I think the color would look nice on short, trimmed nails. Chc without looking too gothy/witchy. Love the fact that it does dry fast too.

I wanted to love the dark color. I needed a purple nail polish and thought this one would be it, from the reviews, from the comparison to Lincoln Park after Dark. And what a disappointment! The first coat is streaky, and anything more creates a color that is black to everyone's eyes except when you place it right next to black pants. One of my coworkers asked, "What's with the goth color?" I wanted sophisticated darkness, but this is not the purple I was hoping for. If you want a dark black nail polish that dries quickly, this might be for you. The application was blotchy, but I'm sure that's my own fault. I'll wear this when I want black, not purple.

Love love love this polish. It's a sexy dark dark purple and it looks very sophisticated on toenails or the fingers. The brush is chubby and makes application a cinch, and the formulation really does dry super fast. I did 2 coats on my toenails 2 weeks ago and it has only just started to chip. Plus it only costs about £3.99 here in the UK. What's not to love?

Gorgeous deep purple almost black, but still clearly purple. I love the chubby brush. I love the coverage. I love that it does indeed dry fast. I love that it cost 3.99 CAD. I'm a Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish convert!

HG. this nail polish is such a beautiful color. I layer it twice to get a nice dark color. It does chip on me but all my nail polishes chip on me because I am too rough on my hands. great color , buy it!

almost exactly the same shade as lincoln park after dark, in fact, i had a manicure in that opi shade, chipped it, and covered it with deliciously dark, and couldn't tell the difference. so much more cost effective!

I got this because I wanted to try Rimmel Polishes due to the positive reviews. This costed me about $2.97 at Wal-Mart and it's a great color. It's a real dark purple that can be easily mistaken for black.I have been wanting Lincoln Park After Dark and I think this a good dupe for it.I rated it a 4 because it was streaky on the first application and it didn't come off as strong as it looked in the bottle.I then applied a second coating and it looked perfect.I can't really comment on the 60 second claim since I didn't pay attention to the time.Overall,I think I will purcahse more colors from this range.

This is a great alternative to black. It's a deep plum. It dries fairly quick. If you apply a good quality top coat over it, the color can last up to a week or more. Small chips can easily be fixed - just dab a dot of fresh color on that spot and voila, it's covered up. Dark colors are so easy to work with!

this color is gorgeous the name is perfect as it reminds me of chocolate. its like having black nails without being overly dramatic. i would describe it as dark chocolate with a hint of purple. at first i hated application but once i made the coat thicker it was good. perfect for fall

My review is based on the color and quality - I love this color! Like someone else said, it's a nice dark color without being black. I can wear this to work (conservative environment) without feeling over the top. The price is a fraction for what you would pay for higher end polishes and it lasts. I wore it for a week on my finger nails and it didn't chip or peel; on my toes I have worn it close to 2 weeks before touching up, it also keeps a nice shine.

If you are looking for the "IT" color of the season give this one a try, it won't disappoint!

This is a straight up dark plum that's almost (but not quite) black. I was looking for a new fall color for my toes, and this one seemed the most appealing. I wouldn't say that it actually dries in 60 seconds, however. But since I plan on using it on my toes anyway, that's no biggie. Its two coats to get the color in the bottle, with very little to no streaks. I'd definitely repurchase!

UPDATE: Yes, this is an exact match for OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark! I was at Ulta today, and I got to compare the shades in person. If this is on your nail polish lemming list, check out the Rimmel one as well.

Generally I buy OPI, but I HATE how long dark nailpolish takes to dry. Enter Rimmel 60 second. I used this on my toes in the summer, with base and top coat. Lasted forever. Now that it's fall, it's on my short nails. Put it on Sunday (again base and top coat), it's Tuesday, I have a few teeny tip chips but this will easily last another day, maybe 2. I'm cool with that, since it took me maybe 15 min to do base, 2 coats of this and topcoat.

Admittedly it does look almost black with 2 coats - but once can still tell there is purple there. If I ever ran out, I would buy again, doubt that will ever happen.

It cost maybe $3? What's not to love.

This is my favourite nail polish. It reminds me of the colour of an eggplant. It dries really fast and looks fabulous on short nails. This is one I will always have in my nail polish stash.
