I bought thismto wash my weaves. I tried it one am on my natural 4a hair and it was wonderful. I'm leery of most shampoos because they strip the mess out of my hair. This one left my hair soft and moisturized before I even conditioned. Im going to keep this in my arsenal as one of the few shampoos I use.

This product made my hair look dull, greasy, and weighed-down after a few hours of washing. In addition to that, for a company that prides itself on offering products "gentle" for the skin, I was shocked to see that Dove uses FORMALDEHYDE (DMDM hydantoin) in their shampoo!! I do not want to be rubbing formaldehyde into my scalp. For a drug store shampoo, Dove is kind of pricey, it does not work as claimed, and it uses a dangerous chemical in their shampoo. I would not repurchase.

Dove is my favourite shampoo, soap and deodorant brand as their scents smell amazing! This shampoo is really good and I use it alot in combination with the conditioner. It smells so good and feels really nice and does'nt make my hair feel dry or scrunchy when I rinse it out. The results afterwards are great as my hair looks shiny, feels smooth and sooo soft! It feels and looks healthy! I love this shampoo, its probably my favourite as its one I always come back to and rotate around with my sunsilk longer and stronger shampoo.
Will always be re-purchasing this stuff!

I used this when I regularly colored my hair and just generally beat it to death with chemicals.
Terrible. It never repaired or made my hair feel any different. It just left a bunch of buildup and waxy feeling in my hair.
My hairdresser even commented one day and told me to stay away from dove shampoos because of that issue.
I listened and that day I stopped using it.

Don't waste your money.

The smell of this shampoo is absolutely divine! I've re-bought this shampoo about twice, which I don't normally do. I like to try different shampoos. I have extremely damaged hair and this did the job to make it feel better. This shampoo has a very good price point and is easily available as well!

This shampoo makes my hair so soft and silky! It has a fresh laundry type of scent that I love, and even when my hair is dry, I can still smell it. This is probably one of the best shampoos I have ever tried since it really made my hair so smooth. The thing I don't like is the cap, for some reason I find it hard to open and I have to struggle!

this is one of my fave shampoo's makes my heat damaged ends soft and healtier and isint to heavy! smells fab too and a great price in boots buy one get one free!

This product rates average for me.
It worked for about two washes and after that, my scalp became itchy and the ends of my hair felt real crunchy! Mind you I used the 'reformulated' version of the one that's depicted (in dark blue bottle).
The new one comes in a shiny white and blue plastic bottle with a flip top.
I really hate this packaging because the bigger bottles are too heavy to fool around with in the shower.
They aren't hard to open, but a pump top would be a lot better!

The consistency of the shampoo is very creamy and smells lightly of baby powder. it lathers well and it moisturizes okay, but does cause build-up (has two different cones in it). After washing my wavy/thick/long hair with this shampoo, it felt somewhat stiff.
In all, I don't think I'll be repurchasing. They should have left the old shampoo formula as was !!! ):

its a pretty good shampoo and conditioner combo. it made my hair very moisturized and it helped with damage and my hair felt healthier. it smelled pretty good too. like very fresh powder. the only thing i dont like about it is that i weighed my hair down and i have very thick hair so its very hard for things to weigh my hair down. but other than that its great.

I like this shampoo, but I find I can't use it every day or my hair gets too straight. It always looks really shiny and soft, but it's already straight and fine, so it can feel almost thinner and limper when I use this too much. But it's great for a shampoo after a chemical process.

I usally really love Dove products and this is no exception. This always leaves my hair fresh and clean, I rotate my shampoo a lot, and I usually dont restock the same shampoo often unless they are my standard shampoo (Pantene and Head and Shoulders), I find myself restocking this one every now and then.

I try a lot of shampoos, but I always end up coming back to this one. It moisturizes my hair and leaves it nice and clean without weighing it down. Definitely leaves it smooth and easy to manage. In fact, I find it leaves my hair feeling so great that I've started to embrace my natural hair and put my straightener away. Put a little anti-frizz serum, throw it in a bun while i get ready, and my natural wavy-ish hair has never looked better.

this is a great shampoo from a drugstore brand! i have really thick half asian hair and this stuff really helps my hair from feeling dried out and brittle after a wash.

I'm finally getting around to reviewing this, even though I'm on my 3rd bottle. My friend at work told me about this, after her hairdresser told her about it, she tried it, and loved it. Recommended for color treated hair or hair that gets a lot of work done to it by flat ironing, blow drying, teasing, bleaching, etc. I have all of the above and need a shampoo that will protect my hair without weighing it down too much and keeping it from frizzing too much. This really does the job. Smells amazing, too - very clean and fresh smelling. Normally, my hair gets bored with shampoos & conditioners and I always switch them up, but I haven't felt the need to, with this. I will occasionally do a clarifying shampoo, maybe every 2-3 weeks or so, but don't need to often. I was worried this would build up too much but so far, it hasn't. This shampoo is a keeper! I like to buy the bigger sized bottles if I can find them. The conditioner is wonderful as well. I just hope that they keep making this for a very long time!

Like so many people I look for amazing products that don't cost a lot of money. Don't get me wrong I LOVE high-end Makeup and products, but I would like to be able to save my money for sephora instead of wasting it on hair products that can cost $50 or more! Dove hair therapy in the BLUE bottle is absolutely AMAZING! I color my hair a lot! and straighten and blow dry it damn near every day! So I really need something that is going to work and protect my hair, and where it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to buy! (I go thru conditioner like crazy!) I can honestly say I will cotinue to buy this shampoo and cond. I started using it as a little travel size when I went to Nebraska for my wedding back in January. and have since bought the full size and will soon need more. It smells good and CLEAN! no fruity smells just freshness! My hair dries super fast when I blow dry it now and still smells good. *HINT- when your hair is still wet get a good shine spray for your hair and spray about three times (CHI shine spray is a good one) then towel dry your hair and blow dry with a paddle brush (this will make all the difference in the world! Since doing this I can actually blow dry and go and have saved my self a lot of time straightening my whole head!
I will definately be buying this again!!!

I'm really liking this stuff. My sister recommended it to me. I flat iron my hair on a pretty regular basis so I'm always looking for products to counteract or prevent damage. Shampoo is a tricky one for me because I have hair that tends to be dry so I have to try to stay towards moisturizing stuff, yet some shampoos are too moisturizing and don't remove the product. This seems to be a happy medium. It cleans my hair very nicely, yet it doesn't feel like straw when I rinse. I was using Redken Real Control shampoo before (which was too moisturizing and not cleaning my hair throughly), so the price of this stuff is fantastic for me.

EDIT: After a few months, I'm starting to notice build up. Still like this and will use, but I did buy another shampoo to alternate with.

While I do this this shampoo has helped my hair, there are some things I don't like about it, which is why I wouldn't buy it again. I do like the fact that by the end of the day, after washiing it that morning, my hair looks super oily. While I do have oily hair, not other shampoo has done this. And I only apply conditioner to my ends, not to my roots, and the looks is where it looks and feels oily. Also, this causes a lot of build up on the scalp.
