I was very disappointed with this eyeshadow. It looks very pretty in the packaging however when I put it on it just makes my eyelids look greasy even with a primer. And I do not have oily skin. Also the glitter falls out and gets everywhere.

My sister actually gave me this shadow a while back - I am guessing she didn't like it very much bc she is not one to give away any MAC products. AND I only actually re-came across this when cleaning out my makeup. Apparently I wasn't impressed either when she first gave it to me. So I've had the chance to try it again and like other reviews mentioned, the bronzer color doesn't so up much on my NC40 skin - which is kind of sad bc the shadow is very pretty in the pan. BUT I applied the bronze color with a denser shadow brush over my MAC Quite Natural Paint Pot and the result was a very smooth pretty deep shimmer look. I can see myself using wearing the eyeshadow daily, when applied this way. The shimmer wasn't took overwhelming over the paint pot and stayed wear I applied it. I don't see myself using the pearl color side for highlight, its a little too light for me.

Looks gorgeous in the pan but is nothing but a light golden sheen/glitter when worn. Easily dupeable. Made my eyelids look greasy just because of the sheen it gave off, instead of an actual color. Fallout ended up all over my cheeks even when worn with a primer.

This is a very natural look. I like to use l'real shroom as a highlights when I use this. It has a real bronzy look and is good for a natural effect. It is a bit glittery when applying but that goes away and a beautiful shimmer is left. I use this in the winter when my skin is pale in color. It seems better for a pale skin. I am nc 15-20 in the winter.

While I very much like the coppery-bronze side of this shadow, I find it a bit full on glittery for daytime wear. The lighter half, however is a go-to favourite, as I find the sparkle in this very natural colour is less disco and just makes my eyes look a bit more awake. Agree with previous reviewers that the lighter half comes out almost colourless, but don't think that is necessarily a bad thing.

This is a great duo for a simple look. Its easy to apply and blend. This came with the Mineralize Face Kit from the MAC Magic Mirth & Mischeif Collection! This is my favorite collection ever from MAC. I would repurchase this Duo!

Like the name suggests, I have a "love connection" with this product! I'm always out in the market trying to find the perfect shimmery bronze color and when I saw this product at the MAC counter, I knew I just had to buy it! I'll admit that it IS kind of hard to load the color onto an eyeshadow brush, but all the effort is worth it when it comes into contact with your eyelids. (Corny much? LOL) It is breathtakingly beautiful with my skin tone and the color pops against my brown eyes. I am just so in love with this eyeshadow and it saddens me when I realize that this is Limited Edition after all and that no other MAC eyeshadow can ever compare (in my opinion)! However, there is one and only one downfall: the pinkish highlight color. It is not even pigmented at all and when you swipe it with an eyeshadow brush, you don't even get the color you expected. Instead, you get this kind of milkish pink color, which SO does not look good on anyone. So my advice is this: If you're looking for a really nice, shimmery bronze color, GET THIS! But if you're in the market for a good highlight: DITCH THIS.

There is absolutley no colour payoff, just shimmer. I do not like wearing...colorless shimmer on my eyes so I would not wear this alone. Maybe over a matte eyeshadow it would like nice. Since there is hardly any colour payoff, I like to use this as q highlighter. I use the 188 VERY LIGHTLY and adds a nice highlight to my face. If you use this without a light hand, you will look like a disco ball. All of the MES have alot of shimmer in them, but this is the only one I have that has absolutley NO pigmentation, just shimmer. And there is of fallout, so I would be careful applying it on my eyes.

I love this product. I would love it a bit more if the color pay out was better but I still really like it. You can use them wet or dry and they look great either way! It is very shimmery yet you don't end up with shimmer all over your face. It is perfect for a summer sun kissed look with eye liner in any color!

I usually love MAC's Mineralize Eyeshadows, but this one is a miss. It's too much glitter and too little colour. The two sides look pretty much the same when applied.

Oh, this MES certainly deserves a much better rating than it has now.
Granted, I bought this MES when it was first launched, and was not that impressed as I was more into bold colors and all, and Love Connection was just too "blar" for my liking at that point in time, so I sold it away.
But for some strange reasons, I started to get into that 'gyaru' look - minimal eye-color and big fat lashes, so I started my hunt for more neutral eyeshadow colors ... then I chanced upon Love Connection again when a fellow swapper offered it for one of my swap items. This time round, I am in love!!! Love Connection is made out of half pinky-silver-beige, and half Golden bronzy Beige. Both look great all over the lids on its own for that natural eyelook that I am so crazy about nowadays.
I am glad that I am given a second chance for Love Connection!

I use it with a wet brush, so there is no fall out and looks stunning. The only issue I have with it is that there isn't a completely smooth application, because the glitter particles are so large, the surface is kind of.. rough. But i don't mind this too much. I use the gold as an all over lid colour (the colour fits my eyelid perfectly) and the pink side as a highlight. =)

I bought the Pinkzapoppin! mineralized set from this year's holiday collection and Love Connection was in it. I probably wouldn't have purchased this on its own, but I'm glad that I have it. It's very easy to create a look with this in under a minute. I love how shimmery and metallic the mineralize eyeshadows are. One side is like a shimmery beige color and the other side is a pinkish beige color. Both look great all over the lid. I like to wear them as a highlight on my cheekbones as well.

I like this MES quite a lot - it's very pigmented and shows up very well on my lid, both shades on their own or mixed together. When I do the latter the color reminds me of a more glittery version of Blonde's Gold or Jardin Aires, with a little bit more red. At first I had a hard time liking it because the colors were not what I expected, the mono site was darker and the other one of mine had quite a lot of intense pink veins in it, but mixed, I quite love them.
It's nice with many other colors as well as worn alone all over the lid with just a winged eyeliner and lashes.
I already said that I'm happy with the color payoff when used dry, haven't tried it wet yet just because I think it's great already for what I want, now on to the fallout issue, I have some fallout but not much, and especially not much considering that the shadow basically is made up of fine glitter, only minimal amounts of the total end up on my cheeks and I don't find it too annoying.
Probably I would repurchase, it's not essential but definitely pretty nice to have in my collection.

I got this duo as part of the Pinkzapoppin Mineralized Holiday 2009 kit. I really like this duo. The lighter color is a shimmery champagne. The darker color is a bronze shimmer. These es are very shimmery. These es look really shiny when applied wet. I dab my brush in a bit of Visine then dip into the es to apply. Visine seems to work the same as MAC Studio Fix spray. I like applying the bronze color to the lower lash line.

Before finding this at my closest CCO, I had only two MAC mineralized eyeshadows, and really liked them, but did not see myself dying over any new ones (especially for like $20). Something about the two colors in this duo caught my eye and when I swatched it, I fell in love with it. I do not have any eyeshadows that can compare. I hate yellow golds when I am going for a "gold" look, like a truer more towned down, maybe even a taupe version of typical gold eyeshadows. I don't mind the yellow undertone, if that is what I am going for, but I usually am not. I love the color of the metallic peach as some might describe it. To me the color is a golden beige bronze :-/. Anyways, I am terrible at describing colors with other colors lol. I never, and I mean never use it dry. I always use it wet and I don't mind doing that because it gives your eyes an effect that no other regular eyeshadows can. I would not use it for everyday but I feel more complete now having it. It made me want more mineralized eyeshadows from MAC, but only at CCO's for around $13.

I like this eyeshadow. I use it over Rubenesque paint pot and the colour comes up pretty and shimmery on my NC30 skin.I agree that there's not much difference between the two halves so I've given this product 4 lippies. Also, I'm such a makeup whore I'll probably never end up finishing this so therefore I probably won't end up buying it again.

Ehhhh, lol what can I say. I was really excited to get this, it looks gourgeous in the pot, but when i put it on, it just looked to glitterly, and granted I love my glitter but it was just alot. I used the Bamboom paint by MAC and that had some shimmer in it too, idk, maybe next time I'll use Too Faced Saghdow Insurance, but overall ehhh, not that great but not horrible either, just so so
