This is a super nice shadow, the colors just don't work well for me, however they are pigmented and lovely when swatched.

beautiful finish-great color pigmentation and it makes my brown eyes pop. Not too glittery-just a nice sheen to it. I use the lighter color all over eye area and the darker in the crease with black liner and mascara-very happy with it. Will repurchase if I ever run out.

This product looks gorgeous in the pan, but it's very difficult to make wearable. The duo consists of a VERY shimmery and sparkly peach that is about as dark/light as my NC25-30 skin, and an equally iridescent warm burgundy color. Both have gold sparkles. Texture-wise, the product is really nice - the colors are blendable and easy to work with.

Personally, I like to use the lighter color in this duo to liven up my eyeshadows if they're a little too matte for my tastes. The colors pull too warm even on my Asian neutral-to-warm skin, but I've found that if I tap a blush brush lightly into the compact, this makes a beautiful peach/plum BLUSH! Yay, product salvaged :)

I absolutely love this product and I hit the pan already. The darker color is the most gorgeous burgundy color I've ever seen! Pretty shiny but elegant.

Beautiful combination of colours - it's a mix of a deep gold and a rose-gold which look great when combined. I apply the lighter colour over my lids then the rose colour at the outer edges. It's subtle but shimmery and lovely.

I find that it's better when applied with a wet brush or over a primer - it reduces the fallout and really makes the colours stand out

The amount of product you get totally justifies the cost of this, I don't think I'll ever run out.

This is my first mac eyeshadow I bought but I just recently had a chance to wear it. The color payoff is average and there is definitely a fallout. I am planning to try it wet to see if there is any change in fallout. Other than that the colors are obviously very nice.
Edit: I found out the only problem was with my paint pot in soft ochre! somehow it didnt work ok with it but when I used it with udpp I got an awesome result. Ah and a little tip, before using play on plums I used naked shadow from naked palette all over the lid and reddish brown of play on plums on crease and then I used the golden orange side on my inner lid. Then I lined my waterline with teddy kohl.

I was lucky enough to get this in a swap. I'm quite happy w/this e/s. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. But these two coordinating colors look amazing together and really do make my green eyes 'pop'!

This is my second mineralized eyeshadow duo from Mac and I love it! Play on Plums are the combos of deep plum with gold/pink steaks. The colors look hard to pull off, but my experiment this morning proved me wrong. I used the lighter shade as overall highlighter, then accentuating my crease with the plum color. The colors just looked so sophisticated and subtle. Even though it does come in shimmering base it's not overly dramatic, which I can pull it off for everyday look at the office. I'm glad I got this one and believe it'll be my staple look for the coming winter!

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!! The colors are really shimmery and subtle, and I really love the gold color. I use these shadows a lot, especially the gold during the summer and the cranberry color in the winter!!!! SUPER GREAT PRODUCT!!!! It seems to last forever, which is also nice, and the price isn't too bad considering how long it lasts!!!!

Got this in the Fun in the Sun Mineralize kit. Oohwee, this is such a pretty eye combo when you put the two colors together. I wore these two colors SOLELY on my eyes for a my aunt's wedding. I wore the pinky gold all over the lid & the plum onto the outer corner. This mineralize duo is practically a no-brainer to work with. Love to incorporate the colors with a smokey eye to add warmth.

I was hesitant to buy this 1st since I have been using mostly cool toned eye shadows. However, this is a nice surprise. I love the combination of these 2 colors. They are so pretty together. I have noticed very little fall out compared to most other eye shadows including some of the MAC eye shadow. Really love it. Great for day time look. Highly recommend.

The combo can be described as a pinky gold color and a dark brown-plumy color. They are great shadows! I often just throw this eyeshadow combo in my makeup bag when I mini-travel (and i dont want to bring too much makeup with me), because I know it will give me a perfect everyday-neutral eye. The only reason I took a lippie off was because sometimes I feel like its too glittery... (Sometimes glitter is good though) :)

I wanted this so bad around Christmas time and everywhere i looked it was sold out! My boyfriend surprised me with it on Christmas day and I love it. I use a lot of pinks and purples so I use this one a lot and I almost need a new one already! I have blue green eyes and this color combo really brings them out. Love it!

I received the Fun in the Sun collection as my birthday present and this was one of the products it came with. I adore these two colors and find that they complement each other almost perfectly. After receiving this set, I find myself using this eye shadow daily - and I haven't looked back since.

I find that these 2 dramatically different colors make for a very flexible usage. For casual daytime looks I would coat my entire lid with the dark gold shade, and then put the dark plum along my lids, while for clubbing and night-time looks, I would apply the plum shade more generously and wing the ends out.

I LOVE this eyeshadow, it's been my HG. I am tempted to buy some of their other shades as I love how pigmented and long-lasting this is. Would definitely recommend to anyone as these shades suit all skin colors and are very practical for formal or informal situational usage.

I had just recently bought this Mineralize Duo Eyeshadow in Play On Plums and I love it!!! This is what I'm reaching for everyday if I want a subltle gold/burgundy look! Looks great with brown eyes. The burgundy colour is definately buildable and looks great for night and day look. The gold colour has hints of pinks and oranges in it which I find are very unique! I've never seen any other colour like it. Both colours are very pigmented and last all day. I put them on top of Rubenesque Paint Pot and love the turn out!
I would definately repurchase this when I hit pan!

I love this duo the colors are so beautiful! The lighter side is a coppery pink while the darker side is a deep burgandy color with copper flecks. It is very easy to blend and the color pay off is exceptionally good! This doesnt have a lot of fall out either. I could imagine that this MES could work on any skintone. When I run out, I will immediately rebuy

I have quite warm tanned skin and I find this duo suits me quite well. I find that they work so well together, creating a look with just the two shadows is so easy. I use the lighter shade as a wash all over my lid and the darker shade in the crease and blend, blend, blend with my 217. I use it dry for when I'm in the office and wet when I want more colour. I bought this as part of the fun in the sun mineralize kit and I'm very pleased with my purchase.
