Great concept, contour and highlight in one but it didn't work too well on my skintone. As mentioned below the highlight was too metallic. I also have the medium version and I'm not keen on the pinkish highlight. I'll just stick to my MSFs.

This is the best setting powder I have ever used. I use the natural side to set liquid foundation & all concealers. With my liquid foundation, I use a kabuki to buff it in. I get an airbrushed, flawless finish. The shimmer side is great for a hightlight on the cheekbones. I need to pick up a backup at CCO before they're out!

I bought this awhile ago and did not like it when I got it home, put it away forgot I had it. I was trying to wear it alone at that time I did not wear foundation, it did not look good on me. It was too light and too much shimmer. This month I was digging around in my makeup case and found it, tried it over my foundation and OMG!!!! I Love it, I just use a little of the powder and the shimmer to highlight. Will buy again.

I got this product coz I was startin 2 learn how 2 countor & I though that it may do the trick .. so here is my review:
***Winning Points:
- so pigmented and the colores pay of amazingly.
- im an NC35, so using the dark shade I countror my nose but not my whole face.
- the highlighting part is kinda like pure gold, so it looks gr8 on the cheek bones or even an eyebrow bone highlighter f ur tanned.
***Hate it for:
- as mentioned above im an NC35, and the product dark part is more red udertoned, so it makes me look dirty rather than countored, however I still use it 2 countor my nose.
- f u have oily or combination 2 oily skin, stay away from the highlighting part as it'll make u look oilier.

I bought this at a CCO so I can't really complain about the price. I'm about NC35, and this actually works on me really well. It looks kind of powdery when I first put it on, but after it's settled into my skin I get a really nice glow and I look flawless even with my super acne scarred skin. It doesn't cover my scars on their own, but it lightens them a little bit when I don't want to put any concealer on since concealer sometimes makes it look cakey. It doesn't control oil very well, but it's about the same as my Maybelline Dream Matte powder. I don't use the shimmery side very often since I'm already oily enough, so next time I'll just buy the regular MSFN :)

this compact is a dream...

I bought this along with the shade dark. I didn't know what one would work best, and this one did, its the medium natural msf. with the other half being a gold/peach shimmer msf, I would compare that side to soft and gentle. the other one is better in summertime with a nice tan. the natural msf side being in dak, and the other msf half is a gold shimmer, close to new vegas from the mqueen collection.

this duo comes with a little bit of both worlds. the mineralized natural, and mineralize skinfinish. you can use each side separatly..the foundation [natural] all over, and the skinfinish side as a highlight over your cheeks, nose, cupids bow..I ocassionally use it as a brow highlighter too.

or you can mix together and buff into your face to set your foundation like I do. I like using the coastal scents buffer brush [I use with all msfs] it buffs it in like butter, finish off with some fix+

this gives me the most beautiful dewy finish! like a glow from within. there no sparkles, just shimmers so you don't look like a disco ball.

these are LE so you can't buy them anymore at mac, altho I have seen this at the pro store before..you never know unti you check. unless your really really dark, this shade will work with all medium to dark skin-types.

if you have any questions, let me know =]

I'm already a big fan of MSFN but I bought this anyway since I wanted a highlight as well. For someone who doesn't need a lot of coverage, this is perfect. I use a kabuki to buff in the MSFN side and use a 187 to highlight. It compliments my skintone well, which is between NC37-44 during summer. I do notice that it doesn't last the usual school day(about7-8 hours) so a touch up might be needed.

Ok, I was one of the people who tried it with my MAC MA and said, "I'll take it." I thought I just wasted my 27 bucks when I got home.... but this morning I wanted something light and tried this instead of my bare mineral foundation. I believe the brush I used is what changed my mind. I didn't think I would be impressed with this at all, but I applied my foundation primer and buffed this on with the MAC 182.. i also bought the Too Faced retractable kabuki for touchups...

I'm surprised that this product didn't get better reviews. I've been using this on days when I don't feel like wearing heavier makeup and I don't feel like fussing with my loose Everyday Minerals foundation. I love the fact that it has a highlighter also. It gives you a light to medium coverage. Takes the redness away and evens out your complexion. Great on those late mornings with only 5 minutes to dedicate to makeup. A little expensive but it'll last you a long time. I'm a fan of the mineralize skinfinishes and i'm very happy with this product.

UPDATE 1/9/09: I've gotten lighter this past fall and winter and this is PERFECT for a contour color!! LOVE it more because it just became more versatile=]

I wanted a shimmer in something close to my skintone and needed a new sheer pressed powder to sub for liquid foundation in the hot summer months, so this seemed to be the perfect solution-wrong.
The shimmer part is OK. But it was very metallic looking, nto the shimmer/highlighter I was looking for.
The matter side was way too sheer to be a foundation but still managed to look cakey.
I tried both over a foundation (as a setting powder and a highlighter) and had the same results.
Both colors oxidized and looked horribly orange though they had a lovely honey color in the package.

I returned this and walked happily away with a naked pigment, a Contrast replacement, and some sponges.

Just in time for needing a new pressed powder and I was reading reviews on the Mineralize Skinfinish because I've been debating on getting it for a while now. I was thinking of getting the Mineralize skinfinish alone, but when this collection came out I was sooo happy because I already am a huge MSF highlighter fan and have several of them. I am so in love with this!!! This gives my skin such a smooth, glowy flawless look I love!! It feels like nothing's on! I wear Bare Minerals all the time which already makes me look flawless and topping it off with this is like wow....amazing! I love that I can wear this alone on those days I don't feel like wearing BE and it will still cover. It's buildable, but gives light to med. coverage. This covers up my pores nicely. The only things I don't like is that this doesn't control shine, and no mirror. I would like a sponge just in case I forget my brush, but other than that, I find the best results is if you use a good soft brush. I like to use my BE brushes (like the heavenly face brush) or my Japonesque bronzer brush. I'm going to go back and buy the little one that came with this collection and the big one too. The price is 26.50.

EDIT: OK now that I own the 181 and 182...I have to say, I highly recommend those to use for this...FLAWLESS
