This is my favourite purple eyeshadow. I've tried others, but I keep coming back to Amethyst- it's warm enough without being plum, it has a beautiful shimmer, and it blends beautifully. It's my favourite "bright" colour to wear- though it's not too bright at all.

This color is ok. I love this shawdow in the Antique Jade. This color just does not look a good on me. I use it anyway when wearing purple. These shadows will fade, go on with very little pigmentation, crease, and suck in general if not used with an eyeshadow primer underneath. I use the Too Faced eyeshadow primer and it makes these shadows just pop with intense color and last all day. This is a fairly nice purple when paired with a primer.

Like my other experiences with this line of shadows, I really like the product itself -- it's long-lasting and blends well, and I scored it for $1 in a discount bin. That being said, as much as I love the colour in the package, I don't love it once it's actually on my skin. I'll probably use it all eventually, but I won't be repurchasing.

This eyeshadow looks really good on me, which surprised me because I have pale skin and hazel eyes and was always told not to wear a color like this. But it made my eyes sparkle and it did flake a little, but eye primer solved that problem.

This is a pretty color but a little too dramatic and bright for my taste. I do like it as an eyeliner for my green eyes though - the purple really makes them pop.

This is a really gorgeous purple color. Sadly I got this when I was just starting out with makeup and it's too dark for me to wear all over on my lid so I had to toss it. Now that I am more experienced I could have dipped my eyeliner brush in and used it as an eyeliner. I will repurchase this sometime again and use it as a liner or put a light shadow over it to tone down the color.

I love this purple. I searched for about a week before I found this purple shadow. All the others were bright purple and I was looking for a deeper purple. When I found this I was so happy. It works great, has great color and is easy to apply.

Totally one of the best drugstore brand eyeshadows I've ever used. Pigment, texture, blendability is really great. My only complaint is that there can be some fallout if you tap off your brush before you apply or if you apply with a sweeping motion. But it's really minor and really is dependent on application method. I don't really use the sponge-tip applicator. Packaging's a little flimsy, but what am I really complaining about? The shadow inside it is great and it was only 4.49CAD.

There is some good and bad to this product. I LOVE 1/4 of this eyeshadow quad. In my picture it is the top right gray/purple color. its is matte with some sparkle and goes on super smooth and gives great, rich color that looked really good with my green eyes. The white highlight color was too pearly and white. The other purple (top left) made me look like I had a black eye. The black was ashy and too sparkly and not very opaque. Overall, I would buy just the dark purple color by itself. When you put on all four colors liek you're supposed to, the looks is waaay too dramatic.

This eyeshadow is great. It has bright colors and very silky. You can pretty much have any level or combination of color. You can just have a bit or make some insane dramatic look, whatever you want. I want to try out other color combos from this line.

This is my favorite eyeshadow. I have dark brown eyes and for some reason purples work best for me, especially ones with more of a blue undertone such as this one. Some would call this a duochrome, but the effect is very subtle. I would call it more of a blue sheen rather than a duochrome. The thing I love about this is that it's very easy to manipulate the shade. For example, I often layer this over a basic blue eyeshadow to bring out the blue [I also do this with pinks and blacks]. I find that the more you blend it out, the more it takes on a pinker cast. I have the old formula, it's soft and crumbly which I don't mind but my only gripe is that it tends to fade and lost its original crispness throughout the day unless I put it over a base or primer.
An amazingly complex eyeshadow for a cheapo price <3 will repurchase over and over again

This is my Favorite eyeshadow! Most gorgeous purple shadow very flattering. Makes my green eyes super green. It's very pigmented for me so I wonder if the people who say it's not are using the old formula. In case people didn't know the blue packaging is the old formula and for the most part those were crappy for me but the new formula I haven't had a bad experience and I have all of the singles and several trios and quads.

Love this ES!
It is sheer but I usually don't like super pigmented super shimmery colors, so this works for me. :) The purple is stunning, with the right amount of shimmer and it's super smooth and blendable. Will buy over and over again.

I own this along with Antique Jade and Night Sky. I love these colors and they work like a dream when I prime my eyes and get my brush damp. These do crease without primer though and will appear more sheer if not damp. As long as these are damp they will show up as the true color that they are in the pan, Definitely worth it.

One of the best eyeshadows at the drugstore.It has high end quality pigmentation and last for 8 hours or more.Great purple if you don't want the lavender or pink undertones that alot of purples have.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this shade. I have dark skin and dark brown eyes, and it looks amazing on me. Not overly loud and obnoxious or too glittery. It blends so well too, i plan on using it with my Almay Trio mascara for brown eyes. Finally a purple eyeshadow that has the right amount of "pop" for my eyes. This is my first Maybelline shadow in quite some time, so I'm eager to check out the other shadows. Will buy again for sure!

Great eyeshadow. This is the shade of purple I've been looking for. Not too light and lavendar, not too red. Makes my green eyes smokin'. In the past I've had trouble with Expert Eyes' staying power but the formula seems improved. Needs a touch up a couple times a day but most shadows do. I cannot stress how nice it is to find a good, true purple shade thats not too light.
