Oh, geez. Okay...so I got a travel sized tube of this stuff once and was really surprised how thick and creamy it was. I tend to not ever buy Suave products because I automatically think of them as low-quality and ineffective. I remembered how much I ended up liking the mini version of this, so I grabbed the large bottle today. Unfortunately, I find the product in the full size bottle to be a far cry from the mini. It's watery, thin, and non-moisturizing. It does soak in quite nicely and smells great, but I need a thick coat of moisturization no matter the season.

I have bought several and placed them around my house. I always buy the family size, just because I use it excessively and nonstop. I went through, and I suppose I am also going though, a huge cocoa butter phase. I love the sweet smell of it, and how well it moistuzes and how cocoa butter is a moisturizer that is all-natural. Cocoa butter is the 6th ingredient on the list, with shea butter right behind it in 7th. It may not seem like a lot, but the Vaseline Cocoa Butter lotion has cocoa butter as 8th, not to mention the Vaseline's Cocoa Butter lotion has petroleum as the second ingredient after water, which is a big indicator that it will sit on top of your skin and feel greasy without moisturizing. This one has glycerin as the second ingredient after water, one of the main moisturizers. I usually count on gycerin to sink in and moisturize immediately without any greasy feeling involved. Great for me, since my skin gets dry a lot but am usually on the go. I also play piano, which gets my hands a little worn, and some of this before and after practicing daily will make sure there is absolutely so residue touching my piano keys and they are in tip-top shape. This lotion moistuizes very lightly, so I wouldn't nessacarily use this when my hands are cracked and bleeding, but it would help even then. Great for summer expecially, and even winter when you have to put on pants that cover all of your legs and can't use a lotion on them that doesn't sink in nicely as this one. I use this everywhere for me: hands, arms, legs, stomach area, feet, neck, face, chest, back...literally everywhere. Great for morning use and night use. The smell doesn't smell exactly like regular and pure cocoa butter would. It is very sweet, and kind of smells like hot cocoa with a bit of vanilla whipped cream on top. It's nice, but nothing over the top sweet. It mixes nicely with natural body scents, and doesn't interfere with perfume, rather makes perfume's scent linger longer on the body. The kind I get-family size-is 32 fl.oz. which is 1 quart of product. I bought all that product for only $4. My skin literally looks baby smooth when I use it. My hands dry out so much, I wash them practically every few minutes (exaggerating a bit). With one use there is none of those white flakies inbetween the fingers, red and dry and irritated knuckles, odd skin tones. Same for entire body, it really does wonders. It is clincally proven to moisturize, and that isn't a lie. I had a few stretch marks, very subtle and not noticable, but this made them disappear completely. If I were to let you look for them with a magnifying glass, you wouldn't be able to find them. Gone, just like that had never came at all! If you had any discoloration or a change in skin tone from spots on your body, this will get rid of them completely also. This also helps tans last longer, for those who like the deep sun look. I can't find anything wrong with it, as hard as I try. Great product, I expect everyone to buy it if they are a fan of moisturized, glowing, smooth skin. For the price, I think this should be a staple in every household.

Don't think I've reviewed a ds lotion b4 but this totally overwelmed me and deserves high praises! Cheap-$3 for 18 oz size at grocery store , non greasy, soaks in fast, gentle-no burning raw cracked skin-, long lasting, nice easy to use pump, nice subtle cocoa powder scent. LOVE!!!!!!!!!!

I love the wa this lotion smells. It doesn't leave my skin greasy feeling or smelling like horrible chocolate. I love how soft it makes my elbows and knees. I have been using this for over a year and get so many compliments on how my skin glows. It's cheap and I love it so much. It's a summer essential.

I love this body lotion, the smell is nice and light, and as the others said it doesn't interfere with perfume. I also love that it is absorbed by the skin in record time, I even got two friends hooked on this body lotion! Definately my HG body lotion for everyday use!

i cant believe i havent reviewed this lotion yet. its been a basic HG of mine for as long as i can remember. great basic all around PERFECT lotion for the whole family. what i love most about it is the fact that it does its job without leaving a greasy feel behind. im also having an issue with dry crackly heels right now and this is a great relief to my feet without that annoying slippery feel. the cocoa scent isnt strong and doesnt interfere with my perfumes either. huge bottle, tiny price...highly recommended to all!

I have weird skin that hates most moisturizing products. I got this in the small travel size for when i would leave town for work and i though nothing of it except "Oh, not greasy and no irritation after i shave my legs... neat."...

The other day i was in a hurry and forgot to put lotion on my knees (ugh- dont judge!). I grabbed the Suave Cocoa Butter out of my glove box and put it on... a minute later i was speeding to work, no greasyness and no fragrance clash with my D&G light Blue (my default, i was in a hurry!). After a 12 hour work day, i was still moisturized and no greasy feeling! On the way home i stopped by Target and picked the the value sized pump for $6.59 and i haven't looked back!

One pump will get one whole leg and i think there are about a billion pumps worth in the bottle. Seriously, the best body lotion out there.

I'm never without this. I love everything about this cream. It's scent is a bit warm almost lightly vanilla so it's nice on it's own or is great for layering with perfume. My skin always feels soft even in the coldest, driest Minnesota winter.

I too have been using the Suave Cocoa Butter only lotion for years and just recently purchased this with the added Shea Moisturizer. I always try other things and come back to this !! I don't like lotions because of the greasy feeling they usually provide but this does NOT leave my skin greasy at all. It sinks in. LOVE the cocoa butter (chocolate) smell...light and not overpowering at all. And the moisture seems to last...the bottle says for 24 hours. Even my husband has started using this and he is a moisturizer snob !

(NOTE : This review is the same for the Cocoa Butter body lotion with Shea Butter..thought it was important enough to post here too..it's important I think to get the word out about this awesome product !! I love Makeupalley.com and trust the opinions here and am sharing my first review tonight. :-) )

My friend told me that cocoa butter was great for ultra dry skin, and smelled really good too. I tried Suave, because for less than $4.00 you can get a really big bottle. It worked well at first, but after a while I got sick of the smell and didn't notice much of a difference in the softness of my skin. It's a below average lotion.

I've used this product for over 2 years on a daily basis as a decent body lotion. It's a lightweight moisturizer that absorbs really easily/quickly without a greasy film and makes skin pretty soft. You can definitely use this year-round on dry skin. The scent is nice, and not overbearing; it does not draw too much attention to itself a couple hours after use. You can't beat the price either!

this is my one of my go-to nighttime body moisturizer for the late fall and winter months. it smells like hot chocolate mix (yum), which fits right into my idea of a comfort scent for the colder season. the scent lasts a good amount of time too which is a bonus. while the lotion is thinner in consistency, it still moisturizes decently -- sinking right into my skin. it doesn't feel greasy or sticky at all, and my skin feels so soft after use. it may not be heavy enough when it's super dry, but overall it's a great affordable lotion.

First of all, I just want to say that I put that I wouldn't buy this product again only because I'm in the process of purchasing different types of lotion to find my all time HG. This product was nice, and if I hadn't been on a mission to find the best lotion out there for me, then 'Yes', I would have purchased it again.

I have KP on my arms and I didn't really see a difference when using this product. I think it's because Suave's Cocoa Butter is not thick enough. It's a light moisturizer good for spring and summer, but if you have dry skin like me, you will either have to buy a new product, or constantly reapply this every few hours.

My mom bought me the travel size, which is 3.25 fl oz, so I think that if I had a larger bottle of this lotion and used it over a longer period of time, my opinion on it may change. Unfortunately, I'm not going to repurchase.

This lotion blends in with your skin very quickly and is not sticky. The scent is light and very nice. It doesn't stick around but there have been times hours after I've applied it, that I'll smell it on me.

I would say to others to use this during the warmer months, and invest in a thicker cream for the colder.

Dirt cheap, I got a 22.5 oz bottle at Target for around $3.60. Lovely scent that does not last long, but that's fine with me, because I wear perfume, and I don't want the scent of my lotion interfering. Moisturizes very lightly, it's nice for spring-autumn, but I imagine for winter, one would need something heavier. Suave makes inexpensive lotions that do the job, but is rather light in texture and not too moisturizing; it works for most of the year, but for winter, or if you have especially dry skin, I would turn elsewhere.

I love this lotion. I have KP on my arms and the back of my thighs, I used this ONCE and it was getting better by the hour! Needless to say I've been using it every day as soon as I get out of the shower and it makes my skin feel so incredibly soft and supple. The smell is to die for. I ran into my stupid ex-fiancee (who never comments on anything at all) and he even remarked how wonderful I smelled. Ah, it's a nice feeling when people finally notice a good scent. I wear 80 dollar perfume but no, people notice this lol. In the meantime I haven't has any weird reactions and my skin is unbelievable looking. Even the tone which was screwed up from KP is back to what I'd imagine is normal for other people lol!
It's a must buy, and it's so cheap if you don't like it (which my sister didn't, she said it made her greasy, but she has the oiliest body skin ever) you could always dap a little on the tips of your hair, or use it to shave your legs.I use my lotions for everything. <3

I love the smell of this product! It's very warm smelling. The only thing I don't like about it is it really doesn't do much for my very dry itch skin on my arms. I use it on my face after I take a shower and it brightens my skin up. I didn't even have to use foundation today! (And my face is really really really red) So that was a nice touch. I'll use it on my hands and face but not on my arms and legs.

This product was discontinued for a few years in my country. I had used the cocoa butter a few years back, and was surprised to see it back in the shelves recently.

Pros: Easily absorbed and sinks right in, nice scent that is not too sweet, cheap, packaging is good as its a pump

Not sure if its really moisturising coz I am using other products at the same time.

I picked this up because I had run out of my Alba lotion (HG but $$) & I have a bottle of Suave Tropical Coconut that I really liked (although the scent isn't right for winter). This smells divine, like chocolate! And since its super cheap I don't have to ration it like I did with my Alba. I will re-purchase
