This shampoo left my fine hair dry and crunchy! It felt like a crispy birds nest. The damage was so bad I had to get 2 inches cut off...and the damage is still there! Good for people who have oil scalp and hair. The only good thing about it is the smell.

I got this product after reading mixed reviews about it, I don't know if Pantene has changed their formula because I loved it growing up but it has failed to impress these last few years. Usually their products are okay at worst so I decided to try it despite the reviews because I have curly/wavy hair that's really dry. This has to be one of the worst shampoo's I have ever tried! I may have dry hair but its also fine and the roots get oily fast so I'm suppose to stay away from heavy shampoos but I've never had a problem with buildup (maybe because I use a clarifying shampoo at least once a month) or my hair weighed down especially if I buy a good brand... but from the moment I washed this stuff out my hair felt heavy, weighed down, and dirtier then before I washed it. It left residue in my hair so it looked like I had dandruff when I don't! I'm glad I didn't pay a lot for this stuff.. Usually if I don't like something ill finish the bottle but u had to throw this stuff away!

I am very suprised after reading all of these negative reviews! But I guess everyone has different hair types and not all products work on everyones hair... Overall, I am very impressed with this shampoo. I have hard water PLUS dry, damaged hair so I know right away if a shampoo is moisterizing or not because it ends up feeling like straw. I seen this product advertized on tv, claiming it will erase the damage of 100 blow-drys so I figured why not give it a try. First thing I noticed was that it lathered up nicely (I know some of you are probably shaking their head at me) BUT I like a good lathering shampoo... After rinsing it out, my hair felt silky soft! I use the whole moisture renewal line and Ive found it works great for me. My hair also appears less damaged and is more bouncy and resiliant.

Pretty bad shampoo, I don't understand the claim of "daily moisture renewal" when it leaves my hair so dry after I wash it, it almost feels like when you are trying to get a bad dye out and you wash it with dish soap. I understand that it has sulfates and what not but other sulfate shampoos are not even close to how bad this one is.
Leaves hair dry, frizzy and strips your haircolor like nothing else, never again.
Horrible ingredients: Water, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine

I read many negative comments about this shampoo/conditioner but I should say that they were one of the few products which helped me having long/healthy hair in the past. Therefore, today I purchased again, after six year of time.

This is a good shampoo for damaged or dry hair. It made my hair look nice and healthy after a lot of straightening with flat iron. I recommend this product.

If you are using Pantene pro V

STOP!

It is so bad for your hair and scalp. I used pantene pro V and an excessive amount of hair began to fall out. The 'shine' it creates is not because you're hair is cleansed it's due to the fillers that are in Pantene. It's similar to the waxing agent in floor wax. And if you think it's not effecting your hair you're wrong. I used pantene for 2 years before I noticed the hair fall out. The reason being that the wax in the shampoo builds up and ruins the health of your scalp thus killing the hair follicles. Pantene does not clean your hair at all, it ruins it.

I stopped using pantene and my hair is no longer falling out

Please never use this product

Pantene reformulated their products (again!!) and now this is called Dry to Moisturized for Medium to Thick Hair. My hair is actually on the fine side, but very dry due to coloring. I have mixed feelings about this shampoo. It seems to not make my scalp itch, which is huge, but it doesn't lather very well so it's hard to work into my long hair. The fragrance isn't what it used to be which I used to adore, now it's quite faint and boring. All in all it's an OK shampoo, and at least it seems to be an improvement over the older versions. Update 8/30/10: I finally had to stop using this. When I use this shampoo I noticed my hair's texture is just weird the rest of the day no matter what conditioner I use. Plus the fact that it doesn't lather at all is annoying, as it is difficult to work into my hair. And the itching has returned.

I Had VERY Damaged Hair, I straightened it every day (My hair is naturally Very curly, think Ke$ha) And I used SO much product in it. I actually bought it today, because I ran out of my usual Tressemè, and I have to say, just with ONE wash, my hair as so much moisture, shine, and body, and almost NO frizz. I am recommending this product to MANY people and Buying the conditioner ASAP! I didn't even have to use any of my usual products!! I am SERIOUSLY recommending this! It is Well Worth the money.

I love the shampoo and conditioner. It's the only drug store kind I will buy. Usually after using the same product for a while, my hair becomes dull and lifeless. But not with this one. It continually makes my hair, soft, not frizzy, shiny and strong!

only using the shampoo, my hair already felt stronger. i have damaged hair and extremely dry and coarse tips, and when i towel-dried my hair, my ends felt much stronger. i did have to trim my hair though, because i hadn't cut it in a long time, i realized later that the reason my tips weren't feeling as silky as the rest of my hair was because there were tons of split ends.

I have thick, wavy dark brown almost black hair, which I actually color blue black, for the reference. This shampoo did wonders for my hair, left it feeling soft and not as fizzy. But then a few months into using this shampoo, my scalp started getting flakey. I really wanted this shampoo to work the way it has always worked, and put moisture into my semi-difficult to manage hair, so I will buy it again and go back to and see if I can get the same results.

I thought this would be a fantastic option in bringing some needed love and moisture in my dry/damaged hair. Sadly this wasn't the case. It left my hair looking limp, greasy, and flat. My hair felt like straw coated in vaseline. Yuck!

Found this godsend on a fluke. Bought this for my daughter who has very dry hair. It made her hair EVEN MORE DRY. I, on the other hand, have slightly oily hair, and this made my hair absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I never would have guessed it with the whole "Moisture Renewal" bit. I generally avoid any hair products that tout "moisture." So glad I gave this a whirl! Nothing has ever made my hair look as shiny, healthy, and thick! HG shampoo--where ya been all my life!!

I like this product alot. I usually buy the large bottles of this at Sam's Club, but the larger bottles are harder to handle in the shower. I don't know of anything on the market better than this to tame down hair that is thick & coarse hair like mine.

I don't know what it is about Pantene products, but all of them leave my hair lifeless and heavy. It's almost impossible to get any volume and I always feel like my hair hasn't rinsed completely clean. My hair does have shine but that is really the only pro. I don't know why I go back to drugstore brands, none of them really ever get the job done. Looks like I'll be shelling out the $$ for Bumble and Bumble- at least those products leave my hair in amazing shape and aren't animal tested.

First of all the people with oily hair, why would you buy a MOISTURE shampoo if your hair is oily?? Anyways i usually dont like pantene but this seems to work fine for the price. The best shampoo and conditioner are infusium 23 moisture but its a bit pricey.
