I recently had surgery and couldn't drive for 4 weeks. I figured since I'll sitting at home for 4 weeks I'll buy a cheap conditioner so I don't waste my expensive salon brands. Big mistake! The only good thing about this conditioner is the smell. It dried out my hair so bad I had to get 2 inches cut off! I have fine, shoulder length, letting color grow out hair.

I've used this Daily Moisture Renewal poo/cond. on/off for years and years. I even used it back in the 80's when they had the gold bottles and Kelly LeBrock. Every time I return I think why did I stop using this??? You get the HUGE bottles for cheap (wish they had a pump!!!), it does a dream job of detangling (esp. fine wavy hair), smells amazing and leaves my hair soft and shiny. So again, why would I stop using this? Why? b/c I get sucked in like everyone else to all the Pantene hate. Pantene has been around since the 80's. If it made everyone's hair fall out then they wouldn't still be around would they? I would assume PG would be bankrupt from years and years of lawsuits. So, that's BS. If you're paranoid, just clarify every now and then to get rid of buildup. I've also noticed that Pantene has finally stopped putting in ALS in their poo's :))) so I can start using them again. I hate ALS. It's like putting ajax on your scalp, soooo harsh. Only complaint: Maybe they will eventually include a pump with their huge bottles.

Oh, Pantene...if only I hated your smell, maybe I would quit falling for you. We have been down this road before...and it never ends well. Remember college? For two years I worshiped you because now I had moved up to "Pantene" instead of the strawberry Suave my folks always bought. You smelled so good, you had Kelly LeBrock in the 80's...how could this ever be bad? But once you lured me in with your wonderful smell, I didn't notice my hair getting drier and drier. I thought it was just time for big cut. So, once I realized you were the culprit and we were no good for each other, I moved on. Fast forward to the ad agency in my 20's and that intern who had the most gorgeous hair (she could have used Borox & had gorgeous hair) and that Pantene smell...so I tried you again...and you dried me out, again. I swore you off...it's been 15 years at least now. But I see these ratings for this conditioner and I get sucked in again. Maybe these young kids saying Pantene gets a bad rap are right, maybe I am stuck with who you used to be. So, once more I try you. At least this time you showed your true colors sooner than later. You & your "Moisture Renewal" left my hair parched and dry feeling...shiny yes, that is how you suck us all in. But now that I am older & wiser I know to get past the outside and look deeper. And I don't like what you do to me. To quote a song/artist who is really getting on my nerves...Pantene..."We are never, ever getting back together...like ever."

I loooove this stuff. The scent is that of creme and flowers lol. My only problem with Pantene conditioners are the carcinogenic preservatives. But other than that, this conditioner leaves my tight, kinky curly hair so very soft and tangle free. It is so easy to detangle my hair with this stuff. I use it on my wash day before cleansing as my detangler. I load up, sectioning in the process and let it sit under a plastic cap while I do a little house cleaning or watch a movie. The tangles just melt away. It's also wonderful for cowashing and finger detangling in between washes. I also suggest using a detangling tool specific to thick/course hair with it. If you fear the cone it has, clarify twice a month with some betonite clay. I suggest cowashing with this in between washes because it has truly improved the texture and health of my hair. Perfect prep for any kind of sets and especially wash and goes. I could go on and on.

No more split ends! Ever! For over 20 years I've used this as a staple conditioner (on and off of course!), and I get compliments on how healthy my hair is all the time! I have very long (past mid-back), fine, Italian hair that always has a good cut (one of my few "must's" in life!). I've done hair modeling and clients are always impressed with the shape my hair is in.
You need very little product (like a penny size for way long hair). I focus it on ends, as it is concentrated and can weigh hair down at roots. It's great for detangling hair in the shower with a wide-toothed comb. It's fairly inexpensive. Smells light & fresh - not fruity - yeah! If I want my hair to smell like fruit I'll rub a banana on my head.
This and Infusium Leave-In Treatment are the greatest for me - soft, silky, shiny hair and I never get split ends anymore!!!
I've tried several varieties of Pantene conditioners - for fine hair, coarse hair, etc. There is NO difference between them in my opinion! Good marketing ploys though!
I interchange it with Infusium Conditioner (also GREAT), Redken (too drying), John Frieda (eh), Abba (too light), and a few others, but Pantene is the staple, hands down.
Only complaint: Bottles are waaaaay too huge (I've had the last one for over 6 years) and opening is on bottom, so water collects in dispenser and just sits there, getting icky!

I love this paired with the shampoo. I have damaged, fine hair, but a lot of it so I am very picky with what I use, as a lot of the moisture shampoo/conditioners tend to weigh my hair down so much. I tried this once while staying at a family member's house and instantly went out and purchased it for myself. I still have a huge bottle of my Redken All Soft Shampoo & Conditioner sitting under my bathroom sink, unused because this just does it for me. It has a great scent and leaves my hair very soft and silky. I adore this and will definitely continue to repurchase.

This conditioner and the matching shampoo are the worst combo I've ever put on my hair, the conditoner has no slip, leaves my hair a complete tangled mess and frizzy to boot with no body, I really like the "Smooth" line and have no idea how the same company can make two complete opposite products.

I've used extremely expensive conditioners such as Biologe and the Aveda Damage Remedy Intensive Restructuring Treatment. I've been on a budget so I decided to try less expensive conditioners. This conditioner was on sale so I gave it a try and I have to say it works better than Biologe and is almost as good as the 45.00 Aveda conditioner that comes in a tiny bottle.
I have extremely thick, heavy, long, bleached blond Asian hair. I was hesitant in using Pantene since my hair dresser mentioned it created a lot of buildup. This product keeps my hair strong but without weighing it down. I can finally get a brush through my wet hair. Also I used to need to use a lot of conditioner to coat my hair, probably like half a cup or more of conditioner each time (my hair is past my waist) but with Pantene, I only need half the amount since it glides on evenly and distributes well.
Best conditioner for the price! Out did conditioners 3x it's price.

I previously used the Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal leave in treatment and was really upset when they discontinued it as it was the only treatment that actually softened my hair. I was a bit reluctant to get it in the conditioner when it came out but im glad i tried it coz its even better than the treatment. I saw a real difference in my hair after one wash. So happy with it :)

While I used to L.O.V.E. Pantene products mainly for the scent(I usually used the deep treatments and classic line), I don't get the hype on this conditioner.
I got a huge family size bottle of it marked down because it's the old formula(with a better scent than the new formula). After using it several times, my hair did not really feel all that moisturized. Shrug. It also made my hair frizz out of control. And my hair isn't chemically processed, dyed, or heat styled. Just naturally curly and a bit on the dry side.
Will not repurchase and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone either.

This is the best daily moisturizing conditioner for every hair type IMO. It's thick and creamy and coats the hair very well. This really conditions my hair and detangles well. I love to use this one alone or as a base to mix essential oils or leave-in. Very good! Would buy again.

this, along with the shampoo, did totally transform my hair in 2 weeks, like it claimed it would. it felt my hair shiny, less frizzy, no longer damaged, and soft. i would recommend this to any one who has long-time damaged hair.

a great daily conditioner. it doesnt weigh my thin hair down but does give it some well-need moisture. it isnt incredibly spectacular and doesnt offer many bells and whistles, but then again, why should it? one of my definite staples.

I love this conditioner, I only apply to the lower half of my hair, never to my actually scalp, and it keeps my hair soft and mostly frizz free!
Edit: After prolonged use, it started to dry out my hair. Good bye pantene!

Not one of my favorites. Doesn't make my hair soft and as moisturized. It felt like it usually did. No big difference. I'll finish this bottle but won't be repurchasing.

I love this product!! I have always used Pantene products for my hair and this shampoo and conditioner make my hair so soft , smooth, shiny ,strong and just gorgeous and healthy. I have used it for years. It also smells really nice and is cheap. I sometimes drop it on my foot and get water in the lid so i gave the packaging a 4/5. I love this. Very moisturizing put wont weight hair down and you only need a small amount.

Sorry to bring down the positive ratings, but this conditioner just didn't work for me. I used it in conjunction with the shampoo. I thought this would be a fantastic option in bringing some needed love and moisture to my dry/damaged hair. Sadly this left my hair in a limp, greasy, and a flat state of affairs.
