'Magic' should be one of the ingredients listed on the bottle. Seriously. I've tried a bunch of conditioners, hoping to get the kind of hair you see on commercials. Every time I got hopeful, I'd hop out of the shower, let my hair air dry, and stare forlornly at my long, coarse hair, looking as frizzy as ever. Baby hairs all askew, my ends pointing out every which way--completely and utterly NOT what I had in mind. And then I encountered this baby thanks to a buy one get one free deal. Because my hair is so thick and coarse, I've always been in search of the perfect amount of moisture for it. This conditioner seems to provide just that. My hair has body, shine, and the silky appearance I've coveted for years. I don't experience any of the weighed down roots associated with moisturizing hair products (and yes, I do apply to my roots to avoid frizz there). This formula is just PERFECT for me. Smells great, smoothes everything down (I haven't gotten a trim in almost a year and while I do have some split ends, only I can see them when I inspect closely), and leaves my hair simply beautiful.

I LOVE this conditioner! The smell is great & the results are amazing! I'm left with soft, shiny, healthy hair. I only use it on the bottom half of my hair because it can make your roots greasy. Definitely will repurchase

I have long blonde hair that's not really thick..actually it's pretty fine but I have a ton of hair. I used Pantene, mostly this type, for many years. I'm not sure if they've recently changed formulas or if my hair has somehow grown "immune" to it but I no longer get the smooth, silky hair that I used to get from using Pantene..quite the opposite-I'm left with a tangled rats nest every time I use it! At first i thought it was just the kind so I've tried changing the type of Pantene and no matter what I use and even if I use a ton of conditioner my hair is left a tangled mess. When it dries it's unruly, frizzy and static-y. Yuck! This went on for a couple months until I became convinced that my beloved Pantene just wasn't cutting it anymore.
Because of this, I finally abandoned Pantene after a good 15 years of use and am currently experimenting. I first tried Redken and it was so-so, then Joico moisture which is good but I need to use A LOT of conditioner (my hair sucks it right up) which will be expensive since there's not much product in those bottles. I guess the search for a really good shampoo and conditioner continues. I think they've changed the formula because until recently I loved Pantene and would not buy anything else and I cannot believe how out of the blue my hair began to hate the stuff. It stinks that I have to find a new HG shampoo and conditioner after all these years but I've got no choice. Sigh..

I think it's a pretty good conditioner. It smells good and my hair is nice afterwards. But I feel like my hair is the same it's always been. It's not a miracle product but it's pretty cheap and it works decently. However, I am now trying to move onto sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners and so I don't think I'll purchase it again.

I use to love using Pantene in middle school but I feel like they've changed the formula in a lot of their products in recent years because everything I try from them now seems to just do nothing for my hair including this conditioner.

I'm not sure why I ever stray from this conditioner. Every once in awhile I try something else but always come back to this one. There is not a conditioner out there that moisturizes better than this one! Leaves my dry over-processed hair silky and healthy for a fraction on the cost of the higher ends that don't even come close to this one. Will buy again and again!

I recently had surgery and couldn't drive for 4 weeks. I figured since I'll sitting at home for 4 weeks I'll buy a cheap conditioner so I don't waste my expensive salon brands. Big mistake! The only good thing about this conditioner is the smell. It dried out my hair so bad I had to get 2 inches cut off! I have fine, shoulder length, letting color grow out hair.

I've used this Daily Moisture Renewal poo/cond. on/off for years and years. I even used it back in the 80's when they had the gold bottles and Kelly LeBrock. Every time I return I think why did I stop using this??? You get the HUGE bottles for cheap (wish they had a pump!!!), it does a dream job of detangling (esp. fine wavy hair), smells amazing and leaves my hair soft and shiny. So again, why would I stop using this? Why? b/c I get sucked in like everyone else to all the Pantene hate. Pantene has been around since the 80's. If it made everyone's hair fall out then they wouldn't still be around would they? I would assume PG would be bankrupt from years and years of lawsuits. So, that's BS. If you're paranoid, just clarify every now and then to get rid of buildup. I've also noticed that Pantene has finally stopped putting in ALS in their poo's :))) so I can start using them again. I hate ALS. It's like putting ajax on your scalp, soooo harsh. Only complaint: Maybe they will eventually include a pump with their huge bottles.

Oh, Pantene...if only I hated your smell, maybe I would quit falling for you. We have been down this road before...and it never ends well. Remember college? For two years I worshiped you because now I had moved up to "Pantene" instead of the strawberry Suave my folks always bought. You smelled so good, you had Kelly LeBrock in the 80's...how could this ever be bad? But once you lured me in with your wonderful smell, I didn't notice my hair getting drier and drier. I thought it was just time for big cut. So, once I realized you were the culprit and we were no good for each other, I moved on. Fast forward to the ad agency in my 20's and that intern who had the most gorgeous hair (she could have used Borox & had gorgeous hair) and that Pantene smell...so I tried you again...and you dried me out, again. I swore you off...it's been 15 years at least now. But I see these ratings for this conditioner and I get sucked in again. Maybe these young kids saying Pantene gets a bad rap are right, maybe I am stuck with who you used to be. So, once more I try you. At least this time you showed your true colors sooner than later. You & your "Moisture Renewal" left my hair parched and dry feeling...shiny yes, that is how you suck us all in. But now that I am older & wiser I know to get past the outside and look deeper. And I don't like what you do to me. To quote a song/artist who is really getting on my nerves...Pantene..."We are never, ever getting back together...like ever."

I loooove this stuff. The scent is that of creme and flowers lol. My only problem with Pantene conditioners are the carcinogenic preservatives. But other than that, this conditioner leaves my tight, kinky curly hair so very soft and tangle free. It is so easy to detangle my hair with this stuff. I use it on my wash day before cleansing as my detangler. I load up, sectioning in the process and let it sit under a plastic cap while I do a little house cleaning or watch a movie. The tangles just melt away. It's also wonderful for cowashing and finger detangling in between washes. I also suggest using a detangling tool specific to thick/course hair with it. If you fear the cone it has, clarify twice a month with some betonite clay. I suggest cowashing with this in between washes because it has truly improved the texture and health of my hair. Perfect prep for any kind of sets and especially wash and goes. I could go on and on.
