I ADORE Ecotools brushes, and this one is no exception! I got this after hearing good things about it when I started wearing foundation, and it's a great basic foundation brush. I haven't had a problem with streaking, it's super soft, and it doesn't shed no matter how much I wash it or how much of a deep clean I put it through. Especially for the cost, it's a great brush for people who are tight on a budget, I think it was about $6 at Superstore.
LOVE IT!

I love what the brand EcoTools stand for so that's what attracted me to their brushes instead of Manicare etc. at Priceline. Very affordable brush line & this is a decent basic foundation brush. Hasn't ever shed for all the years I've had this, but just gets less priority now as I favor my Sigma Kabuki brushes :) Recommend this for a basic foundation brush that's affordable!

This brush is SO SOFT! I sometimes just rub it on my face after it's cleansed for fun :). Bad part is that it creates a lot of streaks.

I haven't used a flat foundation brush in years. I always go for flat top brushes or buffing brushes for foundation, but after getting my colour match at Lancôme and adored the finish it gave me, I thought I'll buy one that's cheap and well reviewed. I brought this brush, and I wasn't let down at all. This brush is fantastic. I did, however find I needed more foundation then I would normally use with my sigma F80, but because the finish is so beautiful, I can forgive it. It comes in a pouch that you can reuse, the down side is you need to cut of the plastic that allows the brush to be hung up in the store. A more useful design would be a plastic thread that can be cut off once home, without having sharp plastic edges. All in all this foundation brush is amazing and boos have a deal at the moment on ecotool (buy one get one half price) so now I know there good, there's no stopping me.
P.s I saw a few reviews that said the brush made there foundation streaky. One of the best ways to combat that is use swirling moments as well as quick strokes.

This foundation brush goes on a bit streaky but a bit more blending helps make it even. You also have to use more foundation with this brush which is a no-no. The price is dirt cheap like $3.30 on ebay! I also got one for $6 but its okay anyway. This is a pretty good beginner brush but if only it didn't streak this would be perfect. I would definately buy this again!

It only leaves streaks if you don't wash it and the foundation dries on it.
It doesn't feel soft enough for my eye area I think, but otherwise I like it.

I'm not a fan of this brush. I find that my foundation goes on a bit streaky and the brush makes it hard to control my application. Most of all, I find I have to use a lot more foundation while using this brush.
Overall, I much prefer applying my make up with a wedge sponge, which gives me better control over my look and gives me a dewier (rather than pasty) appearance. This also saves my foundation from being used up too quickly.

I'm on my second foundation brush- my first one's bristles came right out after washing it one time. I believe that was my own error though, as the brush is just fine. I think, like many others have said, I'd have better luck with a stippling brush. It's easy to get a bit streaky with this one because it's so flat, more like a paintbrush. I think I paid about $6 for this at Wal-Mart, so I'd say it works pretty well for the price. I'm not crazy about the little reusable pouch that this brush comes in- it's great that it's reusable, but who keeps all their brushes in separate pouches? I prefer to keep them all in one roll or cup. I MIGHT buy this again if a good stippling brush is not easily accessible to me.

Before this brush i would use my fingers until i saw so many beauty gurus saying "USE A BRUSH" so i decided to invest in one. I didn't really want much just a regular brush and this one looked nice and it is it works well blending, the bristles don't shed and its lightweight and portable

Awesome brush. I've had mine for months and its going strong. Soft yet firm, and does a great job of blending and applying liquid and cream/stick foundations.

Not a great foundation brush, but I suppose you get what you pay for. The bristles are stiff and very hard to get clean. When using this brush, foundation goes on streaky... it's also very hard to reach certain places with this brush, such as around the nose. All in all, it's an okay brush, but there are definitely better out there.

Soft brush and doesn't absorb foundation. However, I've had two brushes and both have shed a little each time I wash them (once a week as I'm very acne prone and paranoid about bacteria) and eventually they thin out enough that I just throw them out. Buy if you want a decent product for a cheap price, but if you have money to spend, invest in a pricier, more durable brush.

It makes me really sad to write this, because I love EcoTools. This is the only brush I've tried by the company that doesn't work for my needs. I've tried it with ColorStay original and the new whipped formula, and Elizabeth Arden foundation and the brush just doesn't blend. It just leaves my foundations streaky so I have to go back and use my fingertips or Beauty Blender anyway. The first time I used it, the hairs just kind of clumped together and it appeared to be greasy. No matter how many times I've washed it, it still never goes back to being fluffy. The hairs are stiff but not at all prickly or irritating. I wonder if my foundations ruined the brush? I don't know, but I'd like to try their buffing brush for foundation instead.

My first foundation brush (after 40-plus years of using foundation) and I can't imagine what took me so long. I don't wear makeup all the time, so I didn't want to invest too heavily in a brush, and this was cheap yet highly rated. I used it for the first time with a new bottle of Estee Lauder Doublewear (also a new product for me) and the two together made for a a really, really great, smooth look (I credit mostly the make-up itself so I'll review the DW elsewhere). Glad I bought this and I'd definitely buy it again. Great value!

I like this foundation brush, although i said I would not buy it again, i like to try different brushes when i feel that the my other brushes are past their time. This is a good brush i find that if you dot your foundtion on your face first it works alot better than taking it off the back of your hand, as this can make it streaky and a little bit caked on.
Overall a good, cheaper branded brush.

Was looking for a great foundation brush to use with my CoverFX cream-based foundation, which is very thick and hard to spread evenly using just my fingers. I liked the one from MAC but it was way too pricey. This one is only $8 from CVS and works great. It has a firm but soft tuft of synthetic hair that doesn't scratch my face or shed. It's held up through multiple washings with my ELF brush shampoo without getting rough or losing its shape. The handle is light, sturdy and easy to control. I've had it for 6 months and it shows minimal signs of wear. Great foundation brush--whether you're on a budget or not!

I use four foundations regularly, all of which should be suitable formulas for a foundation brush. It works perfectly on two of them. The other two, it soaks up product (even if I use the brush with my moisturizer first), and looks streaky with one. Also, it cleans up fine with three, but with one of them it takes forever to wash out the product (even if washed directly after application).
It is durable. Never sheds or changes shape. Just too much of a pain to roll the dice and see if it works with your preferred products.

There are better foundation brushes out there, but for the price (less than $8 US) this is an excellent product.
.
It is made with a recycled aluminum ferrule and a sustainable bamboo handle. The cruelty-free Taklon bristles are soft and dense, although a little stiff. I have small hands, so for me it's a tad heavy and i'd prefer a shorter handle, but those are minor issues. It works fine with my moisturizing liquid foundations to give smoother, more even coverage. And it cleaned up great with MAC Brush Cleanser.
.
It's a good first foundation brush. Plus it's great for travel because i don't worry about losing it.

This brush is awesome especially for the price! I have had mine for about 18 months now and it is still going strong. The bristles are still soft & straight & I am yet to see it shed a hair. This makes applying liquid foundation a breeze and leaves a flawless finish. I find I use less foundation than applying with my fingertips aswell.
I love this brush so much! I tried a few other more expensive foundation brushes and personally, I can't really tell the difference.

This brush was sitting in my train case for the longest time; I vaguely remember using it to apply a face mask, but never actual foundation. For quite awhile I was using mineral foundation but when my skin started to get drier, I decided to dig into my Covergirl Trublend Liquid foundation.
And oh, I'm surprised I didn't discover this sooner! For this foundation in particular, it works great.
What I do is apply the foundation in small dots on areas like my cheeks, forehead, etc. Then, I begin to blend them out one by one. At this point the make-up in very streaky but if I leave it for about 30 seconds and move to the next section of my face, and then return to it, blending it out again with the brush blends out the streaks as well. For areas like around my nose I use a sponge, though, because this brush is a little awkward for those ares.
Unfortunately I haven't tried any other foundation brushes similar to this one, so I can't really compare... however, I think that this is a wonderful brush for the price (I think I got it for something like $8CAN at Wal-mart) and that everyone should try is before going to MAC, Sephora, etc...
**If you want to go even cheaper, or don't like the packaging of this brush, the Paris Presents foundation brush (at Walmart/Target, in the blue packaging) is the EXACT same brush, just different packing (same company)**
