I purchased this body lotion to provide my dry skin with moisture as well as protect my fair skin from the limited amount of sun that I allow myself to get. Let me just tell you that it highly repels other people from you. It has a strong plastic, goop smell and it leaves you feeling slightly sticky and slime-y. Also, and this is the most important thing I can tell you about this, after only 10 minutes of being in low level sunlight, my very pale skin burned and tanned at least 5 shades. This is not what I expected or wanted. This is THE worst sunscreen product I have EVER used. It provided zero protection and actually made me more sensitive to the sun.

I probably won't buy this lotion again. Yes, it does have SPF in it, which is great, but it doesn't give me the moisture I need. Also, Eucerin formulas are extremely greasy, which is pretty gross to me. It's a greasy lotion without any moisture. I recommend Aveeno instead.

Overall, this is a good product...I went through at least 2 full-size bottles before I switched to a different SPF lotion. I like the smooth consistency and rapid absorption, but I really don't like the smell. It has a very strong sunscreen odor, which doesn't really go away after the product is fully absorbed. I would buy this again, but it wouldn't be my first choice. When I used this every day, I got tired of smelling like harsh sunscreen. It kind of irritated me as fall/winter set in and I wanted to smell "warm and cozy," not like I'd been at the beach all day and needed a shower.

This is fast-absorbing and fragrance-free. It has 1% TiO2. It's probably hard to get enough on to have it be an effective sunscreen, but a little everyday for incidental exposure is better than none at all.

Like others, I wanted a daily body moisturizer with a little bit of sunscreen to protect me when walking around outside. Overall the pump is easy to use, the smell doesn't bother me and it does seem to moisturize fairly well. Unfortunately it just does absorb into my skin; it's so bad that when my fiancé touched my arm he actually recoiled because he said it felt so greasy--definitely not something you want to hear. Looks like I'm still on a search to find a quality product...

I thought this would be a good body spf for the price . But it has pathetic UVA protection . In fact none .(UVA goes deeper into the skin, colors you, damages elastin and collagen and isn't felt , the majority of rays that hit us on a day to day basis are uva) Ran it thru the sunscreen simulator and it failed every country's test. With a PPD of 1 .
Octinoxate 5%
Homosalate 5%
Octisalate 4%
and a measily 1% titanium dioxide as UVA protection
First off TO2 doesn't provide full broad spectrum protection . Zinc oxide does .
And with only 1% you're sure to get damage . You may as well put your regular moisturizer on .

I wanted to get a lotion that had spf in it that I could wear everyday. I did not like this at all because it felt like it never absorbed into my skin. Even after having it on for a few hours, I could still feel it on top of my skin!! This just did not work at all for me.

I hated this lotion. It sat on top of my skin and made my itchy. I would wear skirts and the lotion would pill off of me. It looked like I was shedding skin. It was disgusting and I can't stand it.

I was looking for an everyday body lotion to use on my arms, chest, and neck. It seems to suit my purposes for that. My major concern is that the lotion never seems to sink in completely. I apply it after my shower in the morning, and in the evening I can still feel it on my skin. Perhaps this is because of the SPF, but I can't imagine anyone touching my skin when I am wearing this. Still, I really want a product with daily SPF protection, so I will continue using this until I can find a comparable substitute that works better for me.

RIS and love it! Using it on face bc it's so cold here in MA that no other skin is exposed.
I love that this is fragrance free, and contains titanium dioxide for broad spectrum coverage. In the dry winter in MA I do not have any difficulty with a sticky texture that some other MUAers commented on.
I used to use Olay (Complete sensitive skin, Pro-X, Regenerist... basically tried them all) before I started Wikipedia-ing the ingredients in their products. The texture of the Olay might have been a bit silkier, but the Eucerin contains less plastic and film-forming ingredients.
Overall, I think this product is a great basic everyday moisturizer... in part mineral sunscreen for broad spectrum protection, and you get such a large amount for your money. I definitely will repurchase this in the summer months for all over use.

Awful feeling and smelling.
Not a helpful review, but I just couldn't get past the smell long enough to test it out more than once.

I love, love this product. This stuff just melts into your skin and it has a creamy texture that I love in a lotion. It protects your skin from UVA/UVB sunrays, what more could you ask for in a product? I use it daily under my make-up and it just give me that dewy look to my skin.

Really liking this. It sinks in well and doesnt make me feel sticky and greasy. Great ingredient list too, love that it doesnt contain avobenzone or oxybenzone. Until Jergens (my absolute favorite lotion texture, their UltraHealing formula is awesome!) comes out with an SPF body lotion, I'll keep repurchasing this one.

I had to let others know that this product broke me out in an acne like rash all over my stomach of all places. I don't typically break out on my stomach! I love that it has SPF, but not worth spots all over my tummy. Plus, it's sticky, sticky, sticky and doesn't EVER sink in. Even hours later. This is a piss poor product. I generally buy expensive body lotions and after trying this, I feel more justified sticking with my Philosophy lotions.

I don't why this is getting low ratings. I just bought this a few weeks ago so I would always have on suncreen. I'm very good about putting it on my face and neck, but the body gets overlooked often. I do put on lotion everyday, so if my lotion has SPF, then I'm covered!
While I was putting it on yesterday, I marvelled at the fact of how light it was, and how easily it spread. It absorbs into my skin right away. It is also appropriately moisturizing! Most suncreens are very sticky and heavy--this is not. The lotion that I was using prior to this (The Body Shops Olive Body Butter-no SPF) was SO SO SO sticky and heavy! This Eucerin lotion is great! Also, The Body Shop lotion seemed to accentuate the KP on my arms, while the Eucerin lotion does the opposite.
I like to put it on fairly soon after exiting the shower. I think this helps it absorb better.
If you put your clothes on too soon after applying, they'll take on a bit of a suncreen smell.

Ok, so i do understand why everyone says this product is thick and doesn't sink in, but i don't think its as bad as it sounds. No it doesn't feel like a nice body lotion without spf, but its really not that bad, and considering the other options out there, this is one of the better. For a few reasons::
~I like it because its one of the few sunscreens that protects against all UVA rays because of it having titanium dioxide.
~It is hard, if not impossible to find a good body sunscreen that comes in a 13.5oz size, for around $9 bucks.
It has a little(nothing to brag about) bit of vitamin e, which is more than nothing compared to the other body sunscreens out there that don't include a single antioxidant in the formula whatsoever.
********************
I will probably buy this again next summer unless something this size and with more antioxidants comes along. At least i would rebuy it for hand lotion that protects my hands.

update 4/23/10:
I've been using this as a hand lotion when there is sun out, since its been too cold out to be wearing anything that shows body skin. It's great as a hand lotion, and sinks in pretty good.. Now, one day, in a rush, i threw this on my face, WOAH big mistake. It was shiny, greasy, and even still there where i could rub it after 10 min! and it was COLD out! Now i would definitely not use this for my face!
************
update 2-8-12: I would not buy this again (have not bought this again) because when I first bought this I knew little about ss compared to what I know now. (Thanks to scb!) I do not think there is enough uva protection in this nor do I like that eucerin does not list the % of actives.

I was trying to find a cheaper alternative to Aveeno’s Daily Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 15 when I found this. It had everything I wanted and nothing that I didn’t want: SPF 15, good for oily and dry/sensitive/irritated skin (I have eczema), no fragrance, no mineral oil, and a brand with a good reputation or reviews. This lotion did not disappoint. It absorbs quickly with no annoying sunscreen smell, leaving my skin soft, smooth, and comfortable all day long (even in the harsh, dry winter). I saw the freckles on my arms from summer fade (which is what I wanted) and the skin lighten. Overall, this is a no frills, does-what-it-says lotion that I will buy again.

Ugh, I kind of expected this Eucerin cream to suck, their creams are usually very heavy and greasy but I bought this on a recommendation for a good body sunscreen. This sunscreen sits on the skin, does not soak in. It just goes from being greasy and heavy to sticky. I have it on right now and 2 hours later it is still sticky and I'm not even outside! I'm in an airconditioned room.
