I tried this as it is fairly cheap. I was pleasantly surprised. I used a coat of my current daily mascara-lancome definicils and then brushed a coat of NYX on top. I was amazed at how one coat totally defined and fattened up my lashes. Not sure yet if it will hold a curl (which is why I used the definicils first) will update review once I try. In the meantime, holding some hope that this will be my HG replacement for Cover Girl Marathon Mascara.

Disappointed with this mascara. For a waterproof formula its too wet, it weighed my lashes down as soon as I applied. Maybe it will dry up a little in a couple of weeks but I bought this to use it now, not couple of weeks later.

I have extremely oily skin and am in a high humidity/hot climate. NO mascara was staying put and I would end up with raccoon eyes- NO LONGER!
This mascara survived an intense outdoor workout in 96 degree high humidity with sweat dripping into my eyes and down my face. It actually looked better after the workout. I found a couple of teeny flakes, but no raccoon eyes. I am SOLD on it.
It came off fairly easily with virgin coconut oil. It was almost like blinc mascara in the way it came off. It lengthened my latisse enhanced asian lashes a lot. I would buy this again and again.

this mascaras a disappointment. it doesnt lengthen or volumize and God forbid if you try more than two coats because it turns into a hard dry clumped up mess. it lasted all day and didnt smear but taking off proved challenging and i lost a few lashes through that process.

This product looked promising but made my lashes clump and droop. It took all natural curl out. I was not happy with the outcome. It is not a product for me. I wish it had worked b/c I love NYX.

This mascara wasn't horrible; it just didn't live up to the expectations I had based on its name. It wasn't particularly dramatic, and for some reason I didn't even notice a difference between the color "Extreme Black" and any ordinary black. It just didn't appear that intense to me. The brush, which is what creates the doll-eyed look, covers each lash alternately short and long. Ideally, this gives a 60's mod twiggy look, yet on me, it just looked a little incomplete. Maybe it's because I have sparse and light colored lashes and a little natural volume is required in order to pull off the look. While it didn't clump automatically, I found I had to work more carefully to avoid clumping. On the positive side, it didn't smudge and lasted most of the day. As an alternative to returning it I just use it on my outside lashes in the hope that the longer bristles will give them a bit of flair.

This mascara was a no-go for me. I'm usually a fan of NYX products but this just wasn't one of them. I have super stubborn asian lashes so what I look for in a mascara is mainly holding the curl (which is why I buy waterproof) and volume. This gave pretty good volume but did not hold my curl at all .. which automatically turned into a fail item for me. Another thing, this mascara also dried out on me really quickly. I usually throw them out every 3 months but I had to throw this one out after 2 months because it dried up on me. I must say though, for a waterproof mascara, it wasn't a huge pain taking it off at the end of the day unlike most waterproof mascaras. Overall, it didn't hold my curl for me so that's a no-no!

It's a very average mascara. It lenghtens only sligtly and it goes on so thinly. One coat is never enough. Also not much volume. The problem with one coat not being enough is that you have to constantly reapply. And when the mascara starts to dry, it becomes very unever. I wouldn't say clumpy, but you'll notice that your lashes aren't smooth, and there's ragged edges. It doesn't look very nice up close. I also don't see the "doll" factor very much. And it's certainly not waterproof as well. I was able to use my fingers to rub it off when in contact with water. For the price of SG$12 - $15 a tube, I would rather get a drugstore mascara. Maybe a few good things - the wand is nice and small (also oddly sculpted but that doesn't bother me), so I can get to those tine corners without the wand bumping onto my lid (don't we all hate that?), and also to my lower lashes. The mascara doesn't leave your lashes as hard as nails as well, so maybe that's good for some people. I wouldn't recommend this to people with short lashes but if you have naturally full lashes, this would be a good (or decent) mascara to aceentuate them.

Was looking for a cheaper alternative to my HG Shu Uemura Mascara Basic (now Ultimate Natural). While the NYX doesn't smudge it is too wet to hold a curl. I had no issues with the brush as I found it applies nicely. Also removes easily. Feels substantial when held like higher end brands. The shade is a beautiful glossy black. But I won't buy again as it simply makes my lashes stick straight out--negating the use of an eyelash curler!

This mascara isn't the best for volume, I like Dior show, or voluminous by loreal for that, but this mascara is good for a different look. It makes the lashes seem slick, or wet even though it's completely dry, and it's the blackest black ever. I normally like full thick brush wands, and this one is odd shaped, with it tapering in the middle of the brush, hard to get used to working with that, and you must work fast as it dries quickly. But, I do love the shiny length it provides and it stays on, flake free better than any other mascara that I have tried, while somehow being the easiest to remove. I simply wash my face, and you can see little black fibers coming off, and it washes away clean. With other mascaras I have to use another remover after washing my face to get what ends up under the eyes. How did they do this? I don't know but I find myself reaching for this one over others almost daily. My new favorite.
